Villain Eternal: I Shall Conquer The Heavens!

“Wretched abomination of darkness! For going against the will of heaven, the Hero Association shall chase your aberrant self until your death!” He scoffed. "Who is going to hunt me down? Your dead gods or your pathetic selves?" —— By stumbling upon the forbidden realms and his learning of secrets he wasn't meant to know, his mortality was robbed off him and he was cursed with what mortals would regard as “Eternal Life”. He could no longer age, or be killed by mortals. With his power, Mylos swore to tear down the heavens as he built up his Hell from the ashes of the angles. His heart burnes with a frenzied flames as he swore to wipe the walls of his castle with the blood of the enemies. “Divine Tribulations?” Conquered. “Heavenly Retribution?” Defied. —— “Worthless aberration of chaos! Your life must end here, and your blood would be used to wash the cornerstones of this mountain! Now, lie and accept your fate!" They were terrified, quaking in their boots in fear as he stared upon them. He was a monster, some abominable creature that crawled it's way out of the pit of hell. Undying, unrelenting — The god-like monster grinned in the face of their heaviest weapons. It's eyes gleamed at the sight of their heavily armed Heroes and Legends. He was what they believed to be “The Devil”.

Peak Of Immortality

Now that I've tested the power of this skill again, maybe I should experiment more on more creative ways I could use in killing enemies. Maybe try adjusting the size of an explosion by increasing intensity of air condensation?

Shaking his head, he stepped into the elevator. Today, it was no surprise he would avoid taking the stairs down to the ground floor when the elevator would get him there in half the time. It was unwise to burn energy after fights.

"How many of them had come today? I don't think just a handful of weaklings would be able to hold back Aysla for such a long time." Mylos frowned, watching with his brows furrowed as the elevator slowed to a halt.

The door split open with a mechanical chime, and with a quick glance around, he stepped outside, after some seconds, the elevator doors slammed shut and he was left standing outside with his brows still furrowed.

The receptionist seemed to have disappeared, and the bottom floor reeked of human blood. As he walked up to the door, he couldn't help but wonder what exactly had happened here in the past minutes.

As he pushed open the entrance doors and finally took a step out into the sunlight, he paused. Before his eyes laid a few dead bodies, some were human while others were definitely demons. Their wounds were still fresh.

"What happened here?" Arthur kicked the dead bodies blocking his path to the side, not fazed by their demise nor guilty for the chance he might be a factor of it, "It's just collateral damage, as expected. The killer missing."

Of course, it couldn't possibly be the demon he killed in his room. The difference in time between when he'd ran up the stairs to his room, and when the attacker showed himself was too small for him to do something like this.

Well, unless he was an incredibly fast demon which from what he noticed in the battle — the demon was not. All a curious Mylos could piece together was that a partner of some sorts had attacked this humans for some reason.

What reason? Which partner? Of course, he cared little about these deaths, but he was still very curious on what had really happened here. It looked simple and plain on the surface, but there were many suspicious loopholes.

"For what reason would a demon kill humans and dump the bodies right outside the hotel? Why are there also a few demons mixed into the heap? Was there a falling out at the last moment and humans were caught in it?"

Mylos pondered on it for a while, then lost interest. The assailant was surely dead now, and all that was left were a few or more of his accomplices still alive or on the run. It was a no brainer to deduce most were dumped here.

"Sister… Hmm."

Mylos shook his head, he knew that his sister was not a cold and sadistic demon like she showed. Although the chances of this being her doing was very high, he knew that she would definitely not kill humans without reason.

He walked towards the gates with a frown on his face, a strange light flashing in his eyes as he reached them. As soon as he prepared himself, he pushed the gates open and stepped outside of the hotel with his brows knitted.

"Bang!"

The first thing he heard was an explosion, followed by a crack and a body flying past him to crash into the earth besides him. The body had left a trail of body, and the head seemed to have exploded from a peculiar force.

Mylos traced the blood trail to stare off in the direction the body came from. Without a second thought, Mylos turned to walk in that direction — there was curiousity in his eyes, and he did not bother suppressing it.

As he walked forward, more bodies were blasted in his way, some were the blown up remnants of some demon or decapitated bodies. Mylos walked right through the soaring bodies, weaving through anyone in his way.

Walking closer, the smell of blood had grew into a thick fog that clogged his nostrils. Moving closer to the point where all the death bloomed in, the fog only grew more suffocating for Mylos to breath into his body.

"Ah, I see."

There were a few destroyed vehicles in the vicinity, they seemed to have been great in numbers. From what he'd noticed, they must have travelled here by bus. With the number of dead bodies surrounding the buses…

"Haha! So that's what they did to hold her back! Haha, no wonder she's killing so crazily now." Mylos arrived at a conclusion, and for a confirmation, he rushed forward with his eyes gleaming in a crazed light, "Weaklings."

As expected, Aysla sat on top a destroyed vehicle. She wore an annoyed expression on her face, her eyes were gleaming in a disgusted light. She had been surrounded by the demons, and was killing them slowly.

By using her "Flicker Art", she was able to move to any point in the battlefield while casting as many "mirages" as possible. Like Mylos had seen before, this created an illusion of her being omnipresent in the area.

Although they were limitations the demons weren't able to notice due to their weakness. Although, if they were a bit more conversant with how her ability worked it would have been easier from them to survive it.

More bodies were blown into the air in an explosion of blood and flesh, blasted into Mylos' direction. He wasn't stunned by this since he was watching as everything was unfolded before his eyes, he actually smirked.

In this world, power meant everything. Although he was strong, they'd be always someone out there who was not just a step further, but levels beyond him. That was why, he strived to reach the peak of strength.

Endlessly growing stronger, endlessly levelling up in the real world. Killing as many as he needed, all preventions from getting blasted like this one day. All to prevent his death from being counted as "mere collateral damage".

If one couldn't be perfect, why strive for perfection? He would rather chase an invisible dream, than to stand and watch another chasing the wind surpass him! Standing at the peak doesn't mean reaching a stagnant point.

It means endlessly evolving to keep yourself from being overtaken by another. It means being the rock before all those beneath you, a rock that they can never overcome no matter how hard they trained.

It was a perk of immortality — the ability to evolve with the world, not limited by the shackles of death, fatigue, and other restraints of the mortal body.
