Chapter 25 : Entrance Exam 4

Today is the second examination begin. New disciples gathered at the main hall. Just like few days ago, the four master gathered at the pondium while Liu Yong standing at the center of the pondium.

Liu Yong began his speech, "Congratulation for those who passed the first exam. in the second examination you will enter training realm, the realm itself is not that dangerous, but there's still low level beast inside. Don't let your guard down. We will give each of you escape talisman. If you think you can't continue the exam, tear the talisman and you will automaticly return here", as he said that, a paper talisman appeared in front new disciples. 

"While inside the realm, defeat low level beast as much as you can. If you don't feel confident in your fighting skill, collect treasure or herb inside the realm. It will still count as a point. The rarer the item you got, the more point you get. You only get three days to collect point"

"Get together with your group, you will transported at random safe location". Yang Wei and his group look at eachother in silent. "Get ready", Said Yang Wei before a source of light appeared under their feet. After the light disappeared, they arrived at wide green range. 

"Woaaah... so wide", Mei Lan was mesmerized by the view. The wind blows gently, causing grass and tree leaves move alongside the wind. The vast sky covering the wide green range. 

"What's that?", Yang Wei stare at big and tall but burned tree far from them. "That tree... no one knows. I think the only one who know their first existence is the peak master and the sect leader" 

"I don't think there's any monster or beast around here, let's head deeper", Xu Yanran said. Before they left green wide range, a loud shriek was heard.

"what's that noise?!", all of them look at the sky. Above the bruned tree trunk, a giant bird stare at them as if staring at their prey. Once again it shriek at them before flying toward them at ridiculous speed.

"Evade!", all of them scatter around. The bird shriek again after realizing they evade his attack.

"w-what kind of appearance is that?", Mei Lan scream in fear. All of them noticing the bird appearance. The bird lost one eye, his body full of wound, some part of flesh were open, and green liquid came out from the wound. They feel fear and disgust.

"Why the sphere monitor doesn't work?", Yang Luoya thought. At the center of the empty hall there's giant glass phere ball. From what he knows, in the second examination Liu Yong and the other four peak master will monitor the exam through this sphere ball in case for safety. But this sphere monitor didn't show anything. 

"Have you found the cause yet?', Liu Yong asked the examiner who tried to repair the sphere. "We haven't found the cause yet, this sphere ball never acted like this before", the examiner answer nervously.

"The disciple safety depend on that sphere, please repair it fast", Gao Jun said with worry. "Don't worry, beasts inside training realm never go above grade 3, If they can't defeat it even in a group, they are not worthy to join four peak sect", Sun Guang replied.

"I have bad feeling...", Yang Luoya mumble in worry.

"This bird.... is grade 5", Yang Wei said in caution. "Beast in training realm at most is grade 3, how can a grade 5 beast is here?", said Ying Feng. "Wi think it evolved", Mei Lan said in fear. "evolved grade 5, what a worst encounter we had", Yang Wei take out his sword. 

"We had no other choice but defeat it, or we die", Xu Yanran eyes become cold as she take out her sword. The bird shriek and fly high before dive like a rocket at each of them. His attack pattern is same. Mei Lan shoot her arrow at the flying bird, and it hit, but the bird didn't feel hurt at all.

"The bird feather is unusual, as if made of metal", said Mei Lan. Yang Wei tried to use thunder spark against him. The spark hit the bird open wound and shriek in pain. "try to attack it's wound, the feather is impenetrable but the open wound is not"

The bird landed and keep shrieking. As soon as the bird feet touched the ground, Ying Feng used his power to summon vines from the ground to hold the bird in place. Xu Yanran use that chance to stab the bird other eye to bilnd it. The bird went rampage. Xu Yanran was thrown away from the bird while her sword still stuck at the bird eye. Green Liquid came out from the bird eye.

Ying Feng vines snapped one by one. Knowing the bird might run away, Yang Wei run forward and hop onto the bird back. The bird fly high, carrying Yang Wei on it's back. Yang Wei stabbed the bird open wound with his sword. The bird startled and tried to shake Yang Wei off from it's back. Yang Wei hold his sword tight.

"It have to finish him fast", Yang Wei thought. Yang Wei use his power to make his sword flowing with lighting power, burning the bird flesh from inside. He keep doing that until the bird become tired and give up. The bird fall to the ground. Yang Wei body covered in green liquid.

"The sphere finally working", the examiner said. The first image shown is the bird corpses with Yang Wei on top of it. Every one present gasped. "That bird is at least grade 5 beast.... evolved maybe", said Shen Ming. "This is the first time this has happened, luckily that boy is strong, or he and his team would be dead", Yue Lan said. 

"Yang Wei.... thank god you're okay...", Yang Luoya mumble.

".... you better take a bath after this", Ying Feng said. "it's not my fault, this bird blood is green", Yang Wei step down from the bird's corpse. "This bird is weird...", Xu Yanran said. "What's weird?", Mei Lan asked. 

"usually any beast have blood veins and power flowing through their body, but i see none. Does this bird heart even beating?", Xu Yanran said. They look at each other in silence.

"Whatever it is, we better leave this place. nothing good will happen if we stay in this place", said Yang Wei. They left the wide green plain and head towards the forest.
