Chapter 12

The next day, Edward woke up late.

'Based on the position of the sun, it must be around 10 a.m.'.

He sat on his bed and stretched his arm and the rest of his body a few times.

'I have almost no more pain, my body is really special, even with magic I should still suffer from aches or fatigue, yet after a deep sleep I am fine.'

Edward got up and got dressed after washing his face with his magic, at present there should be no one left in the house, Edward went down the stairs while putting on his jacket.

However, sitting on a rocking chair that was too big for her, was a child with light green hair.

"Sylphie?"

At his call the little girl opened her eyes and turned her face towards Edward with a small smile on her lips.

"Hello Edward~"

Edward frowned slightly. "What are you doing here so early?"

The young girl stifled a little laugh "It's already 10 o'clock you know… Anyway my mother prepared a pie for you so I brought it to you, Alice let me come in, she went to the fields just now"

Edward nodded gently, on the table were two pies, a sweet smell wafted through the room, Sylphie's mother was known for her cooking, apparently that's how she won over Sylviano.

Swallowing his saliva, he turned to the young girl "let's eat them together"

Sylphie nodded and went to the pies to slice several slices.

Suddenly the girl stopped and she stammered and pointed at a pie "By the way… There are two pies but this one is just for you, don't share it!"

Edward followed the young girl's fingers, the pie she pointed to was the least well made, it looked like a battlefield having suffered 2 or 3 major explosions.

'Does she want to kill me? The wolf wasn't enough!?'

As he was about to make a remark, he saw Sylphie's face slightly red.

'I see, it must be her pie, I guess it's her way of thanking me.'

Edward picked up a slice of the pie and took a bite... It tasted good.

The day passed quietly, when Alice returned, Sylphie went home, going out to the forest was out of the question and Edward wanted to rest before going out for Rudeus' birthday, taking advantage of the calm day to sleep.

Once evening came, Edward headed towards the Greyrat house, tonight is a special evening, it is Rudeus' birthday as well as Roxy's last day in the village.

Edward had come a little early at Zenith's request, in front of the house he knocked on the door and a few seconds later, Lilia opened it.

"Hello Lilia, am I not too early?"

The maid shook her head "No, Madam Zenith was waiting for you, how are you, your injury?"

The two exchanged small talk while heading towards Zenith who was happily preparing the table with flowers.

The latter noticed them and showed a smile "Hello Ed~ Ah I almost forgot, come with me to change your bandages~"

If he had come early, it was for this reason, he followed Zenith who ordered him to sit on a chair.

"So, let's observe this wound…"

As she removed the bandages, humming, she suddenly stopped. Curious, Edward followed the gaze of the apparently surprised woman to see her arm, a large white scar clearly showing the traces of a bite.

Edward shuddered at the sight, but it wasn't his scar that surprised Zenith, well not entirely.

"Edward… How can you be healed already, the magic we used isn't supposed to heal you to this level."

Edward frowned, apparently due to his excessive blood loss, high level magic could not be used, his body should still be injured, yet only a scar remained the next day!

Shaking his head, Ed replied "I don't know, I just slept and that's it…"

Zenith observed him for a moment with a face full of doubt then sighed, "It doesn't matter, in fact it's a good thing, it happens that children are born with strange abilities, I heard a story from Lilia about an infant having the strength of an adult man, maybe you have one of his abilities too."

'She thinks I'm a Miko... She might be right, I mean I don't know if it's one of the traits of my reincarnation or an ability of Miko... Maybe my strange skills in magic also comes from…"

Suddenly he felt a flick brush his nose, he looked up at Zenith who was looking at him with a smirk "Don't worry, today is a holiday, let's make the most of it~"

Edward gives a small smile and gets up from his seat, he doesn't need to redo his bandages anymore. "You're right, besides where is Rudy, I'm going to go see him."

Hey, you saw it in the number of chapters or if you follow my other fanfic but I have a drop in motivation because of school, the outings may be irregular, sorry.

In any case I am full of fatigue, give me your opinion for the rest of the story:

Edward stays in the village

Edward also leaves for the same town as Rudy to experience another story (obviously he will meet Eris and Ghislaine but not as a teacher)

Edward leaves the village for a completely different destination (A solitary adventure while waiting for the teleportation accident)

Voted for what you prefer, however I do not rule out not taking the votes into account if an idea comes to mind.
