Picnic

Months had passed, and the day of the parent-teacher meeting had arrived. On April 2nd, at 9:30, Makhoa, now known as Aetherius, accompanied by his parents Lysandra and Ignatius Darkheart, sat in front of the teacher's desk. The teacher commended Aetherius's academic achievements, revealing an outstanding A+ grade in his final exams.

(Teacher): "Mr. and Mrs. Darkheart, I must say, I'm impressed by Aetherius's remarkable improvement. May I inquire about the tutor you've employed for him?"

(Ignatius): "Well, we do have a tutor, but it's not who you might think. When is the school starting?"

The conversation shifted to the upcoming school term, scheduled to commence on July 1st. The teacher also mentioned a picnic at Harmony Haven Park on April 15th, assuring the safety of the event by the presence of C-rank superhumans. However, Lysandra expressed concern due to the park's rare gate sightings.

(Teacher): "Please be assured, the principal has contacted the government of Arora to lend us C-rank superhumans, and the gates are expected to be safe."

Despite reservations, both Lysandra and Ignatius reluctantly agreed. Makhoa, however, was less than thrilled about the upcoming picnic, wishing to focus on his research in this unfamiliar world.

Several days later, as the day of the picnic approached, Makhoa reluctantly waved goodbye to his family from the car window, except for Damien, who stood in silence. Their strained relationship persisted, as Damien considered himself superior to his twin.

After the parent-teacher meeting, Damien confronted Makhoa, questioning the sudden improvement in his grades. Makhoa, maintaining secrecy about his tutor's identity, dismissed Damien's inquiries. The siblings' strained interactions continued, rooted in Damien's perceived superiority.

On the afternoon of the parent-teacher meeting, Makhoa received a gift from his mother – a multiple computer setup. Eager to enhance his ghostnet capabilities, he spent days setting up the computers. While the new ghostnet was superior to the mini version, Makhoa acknowledged the need for better equipment, envisioning future enhancements.

Finally, the day of the picnic arrived. Seraphina dropped Makhoa off at Harmony Haven Park at 10:30, equipped with three lunch boxes – lunch, snacks, and dinner. The teacher greeted him, proposing a historical adventure. Makhoa, bored and uninterested, reluctantly agreed, casting an awkward vibe over the group. The teacher led them into Harmony Haven Park for an educational excursion.
