Chapter 55 - Main Cast of Kengan Match

As the surroundings started to burn and crumble where Sougetsu was taken aback by skill displayed by his brother and a hint of pride whell up inside.

"Ugh... Why... Why have your skills improved this much..." asked Sougetsu while sitting on the ground as the building was slowly being burned into flames.

"It's because I have friends and a strong comradeship... I have friends with whom I diligently train... You have usually trained alone. That is the difference between us." Kansei Ma responded when the other Ryozanpaku grandmaster appeared behind him.

"Master Kansei! Let's get out of here and the building will collapse soon. We should get out of here when we have the chance" Haruto said, trying to save his master.

"Papa! I may not know anything but this looks bad! Let's get out of here soon!" Renka said as well.

"Heh heh... just like always everyone around me are your friends... Even though we had the same power I was feared by everyone around me, and you were adored by everyone. I didn't leave China because I killed someone. From the very beginning there was no place for me there!" Sougetsu stated remembering the time he felt alone and distant, unlike his brother.

"Brother!" Kansei Ma said and wanted to continue but the ceiling between the two fell and they were surrounded by fire.

"If we don't move out now then we won't have the chance to get out of here!" Renka shouted seeing the flames rising.

"GO, Brother... For a martial artist defeat is death!" Sougetsu firmly refused to save himself. Kansei Ma looked at his brother then turned around.

"We are going, you two." He said to them respecting his brother's wish.

"Master Kansei! We can't leave him here!? " Haruto shouted looking at Sougetsu despite knowing that he will survive and still can't shake the feeling he shared as someone who has sibling.

"I have a feeling that if I get close to, he will take his own life. At least I won't let my brother have a martial artists death." Kansei Ma stated and Haruto didn't say anything as he looked at Kansei Ma then at Sougetsu as if he was thinking something.

"Hurry up Haruto! The fire is around the elevator too!" said Kansei Ma as he entered the elevator with Renka right behind him.

"Heh.. a fitting death for a mudrer... should be like this." Sougetsu said as he drank his liquor from his gourd. Haruto didn't followed Kansei Ma but moved towards Sougetsu and gave him his hand

"I can't let you die here! As someone who felt the same way as you did, I refuse to think you don't have lace you belong! I found mine and you will surely find yours! Moreover I still haven't settled my score with you! And your disciple still needs you to get stronger since I easily beat him!" Haruto angrily said and Sougetsu didn't replied him instead moved his hand towards Haruto but instead of putting it on his hand his hand was on Haruto's stomach

"It's good if you can beat him a little so that he won't think too high of himself." he said and pushed his hand that was on Haruto.

But before he could really push Haruto towards Kansei Ma, Haruto jumped backwards and reduced the strength from his hand

"You don't want my help, it's fine but remember that Tanimoto goes to the same school as me so I will beat him everyday if you don't save yourself and teach him a little" Haruto said.

After that he turned his back while looking at Kansei Ma and Renka in the elevator he moved towards them and within a single leap entered the elevator then looked towards Sougetsu as the elevator gate closed.

"I am A man of my words, so save yourself!" The elevator gate closed and Sougetsu mumbled

"Kansei Ma has gotten a strange Pupil." after which the whole building collapsed and flames could be seen everywhere. Three days after the whole Incident In Ryozanpaku.

Haruto was in his Karate dress when he saw Kansei Ma was sitting in the corridor of the dojo reading his Girls Magazine. Kenichi was unaware of what happened as he was training and Haruto went to check on his master.

"Are you fine Master Kansei Ma. " asked Haruto.

"Hmm... Of course I am fine." Kansei Ma pretended that he was alright.

"It sure doesn't look like it as you are holding the magazine upside down" Haruto said and Kansei Ma did a head stand while reading the Magazine.

"Seriously Master, why are you being like this!? When both you and I know that a grandmaster like you're brother isn't the type to die in something like that." Haruto said.

"What!? How can you say that!?" Kansei Ma asked.

"Why don't you believe me!? I can bet you that he is alive." Haruto said, thinking about something.

"Oh what do you wanna bet!?" Kansei Ma asked.

"You're going to stop doing anything perverted with any girls when I win." Haruto said since it's annoying when he acts perverted around Lala and Shigure Along with Miu and Ghislaine.

"Ha! Then what is it for me?" Kansei Ma asked eager to see what kind of reward he'll get if he wins the bet but then again it's a win-win scenario since if his brother is alive then it's great news.

"I'll try to find the latest volume of Icha Icha Paradise." He said and hearing this made Kansei Excited since ever since Haruto gave the first book had been trying to asked him for more and Haruto planned on using it as bargaining.

"It's a deal then!" Kansei Ma grinned and Haruto nodded then change the subject.

"By the way Master, Renka will be pretty pissed after we shook her off like that and came back." Haruto said having left without saying goodbye.

"It's fine she will understand that this is my home." said Kansei Ma as he left Haruto there and went towards his room.

"Well I don't think it will take her much time if she remembered the name of the school i told her otherwise it may take some time." Haruto mumbled. In the Chinatown, Imperial Wrath Chinese Restaurant.

"He got away again.. That ridiculous old man, the next time I find him...I will take him away with me, even if i have to tie a rope around his neck" said Renka as waves the mop around in the air.

"Hey, sweep the right way!" Hakubi said after which he left Renka alone in her brooding.

"While I'm at that I wonder if it would be alright if I take that Haruto Guy with me as well to China since Papa likes him so much." Renka said with a red face remembering how she was held and how amazing he fights against someone stronger than him.

Early in the morning, Haruto was at the park and got the opportunity to test his new power that he obtained from fighting Sougetsu. He felt worried that he may not have survived but didn't think too hard of it considering how things are.

Haruto pondered for a moment and tried to manipulate his body to produce an excessive amount of sweat, then felt like it was an extension of his body and immediately manipulated it where it flowed around him.

"Hmm, this is going to be quite useful against certain enemies." Haruto's honor as a fighter didn't intend to use it against someone who doesn't have supernatural abilities but if he ever needs to then he'll use it.

'I can't blood bend at the moment but at least I can disrupt the flow of Ki if I need to.' He remembers that a character was able to use Chi blocking, removing their ability to bend temporarily and another outright removing their ability using blood bend.

Haruto incorporated his [ Tai Chi ] and [ Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist ] into the mix making his technique even deadlier than before. After testing his new powers, he received a message from Ghislaine wanting to visit Mikan and spar against Shigure.

He summoned her and trained with her trying to further improve his [ Longsword of Light ] technique. Once the two finished training and went back home where Ghislaine went out to check on Mikan while he noticed something strange since everyone had been avoiding him lately.

'Did I do something wrong?' Haruto pondered and went to take a shower to clean himself and tried to manipulate the water by making it colder soothing his muscles. Lala wasn't home since she went somewhere and was currently taking a bath alone. When he finished, Haruto headed downstairs where Mikan and Rito were waiting for him.

He greeted them and sat next to Rito where Mikan placed plates for them and began to have breakfast. Haruto noticed they were doing something behind his back but unsure what exactly. Haruto decided to put it aside and enjoyed his time for himself.

'The elder told me that I need to find the answer of Intent, Flow and Essence.' Haruto thought to himself knowing that Martial art is a journey and through experience can it sharpen. He tries to remember the amount of fights he has had and it has only been around 5 in Kengan matches while around 5 against Ragnarok or some delinquent wanting to join them by fighting him.

In other words, he hasn't found a worthy challenge where he's at the edge of losing. Haruto hoped that he'll fight my cast of the kengan matches to gain more experience. Once dinner was finished and it was then Haruto then received a call from Suoh asking for him for another kengan Match and he didn't mind since his master told him not to visit them for the time being since they were doing something.

It was still early and Haruto spent his time playing with Byakko. He then continued his mastery over his [ Hercules Methods ] in his room as Byakko laid on his head. Ghislaine and Mikan went shopping while Rito joined them, leaving him alone in the house.

Once it was near lunchtime, Haruto messaged his sibling that he won't be having lunch in their home and heading to Suoh with Byakko by his side. He went to Suoh's office on foot, jumping in the building moving faster than the cars in traffic. He soon arrived and went inside the building where he knocked, then was greeted by Suoh who was happy to see him again.

Haruto saw his relationship with her and she started to get attracted to him along with Renka Ma for some reason. He is unsure why girls would even be drawn to him when what he has done was to be true to himself.

"Woah? Who is this?" Suoh asked to see the cute cat sleeping on his shoulder and patted him where he purred. Haruto did shut off her collar, worried that people might hunt her for it. He can still communicate with him through his [ Beast Master ] power.

"His name is Byakko. Anyway, you called me about another kengan match?" Haruto asked as the young woman who was replaying with Byakko stopped and looked serious.

"Ah yes, let's talk about this inside since your next opponent might be tricky." Haruto wondered what she meant by that and did as instructed where Suoh took out the file containing his next opponent and was surprised who it was.

"Your opponent is a little older than you but has won 20 matches without any loss." Suoh said as Haruto observed the photo feeling his heart pounding in excitement and always wanted to fight another prodigy and see what made them different.

"His name is Imai Cosmo, also known as The King of Stranglers, is one of the affiliated fighters employed for Nishihonji Security Services."
