"I OBJECT!"

The voice boomed over the crowd as everyone turned their head towards where the voice came was from. When they saw who it came from, there were gasps of disbelief.

It was none other than the empress, Song Zihan, who objected to their wedding.

"Mother!?" Song Liya exclaimed.

All her life, her mother had been supporting her, there was never a time where Song Liya was denied by her mother. But this time, it was different.

So of course Song Liya would be surprised.

Except for Yu Yingyi, she knew that the empress would appear sooner or later to stop the marriage. She should feel grateful, but if the marriage did get canceled, the contract would end and her mother would be in trouble.

In the novel, it was said that Song Zihan was a huge homophobe, even banning same-sex marriage when she saw it in person once. Though that was later in the novel.

Meanwhile, they were frozen but with different thoughts on the situation, murmurs were going around.

"Why did her mother object? I thought she supported them."

"Same here, I never expected it was their mother who would try to get in between them both."

"What will happen now? Will the marriage be canceled or will it continue?"

The crowd could only watch as the situation unfolds.

Song Zihan was already on the stage when everyone snapped out of their thoughts. The announcer decided to step down in fear of getting in trouble and took the microphone with him.

"Mother? Why are you objecting to this?!" Sony Liya asked.

"You should know why considering you're my daughter," said Song Zihan.

"I don't mother, would you mind telling me why you would object to this when you've been in approval of my decisions all my life?" asked Song Liya in an angry tone.

"Then let me tell you. You should know what I wish for considering you are my daughter. I want grandkids that could take our places and rule over the kingdom when we can't, but if it's same-sex marriage, how could I get grandkids?"

"Plus, same-sex relationships are already disgusting and you expect me to tolerate same-sex marriage? You must be delusional," said Song Zihan.

To put it simply, Song Zihan thought it wasn't normal, it was weird. It was understandable since this nation was filled with opposite-sex relationships which is "normal" and everyone's used to that.

Same-sex relationships were considered weird here.

During this moment, Yu Yingyi knew that she couldn't say anything, she could only let Song Liya speak with her mother and learn her true face.

"What are you saying, mother? Even if we can't have kids, we can still adopt a kid. Moreover, what's so bad about same-sex relationships? As long as there is love between the two, why does gender matter?" Song Liya asked.

Yu Yingyi was surprised at Song Liya's words, she would've never expected her to say something that. In fact, it might've been the best thing she's ever heard from Song Liya.

Song Zihan was also surprised at this too, she never expected her daughter to deny her. But this only enraged Song Zihan more.

"My daughter, I've always thought that you would be the child who would lead the future of this empire along with a consort by your side. Then you'll have a child do lead the next generation, it seems I've been wrong, you might not be the special child after all," said Song Zihan.

"Ha!? I don't care about leading the future of the nation or leading the next generation. I only want to love this girl and that will stay the same." Song Liya started sternly.

"Then tell me, what do you like about this commoner?

"That's easy, I love her personality, the way she's able to deny me when I'm known as the fiercest girl in the empire, unlike all the princes that you've sent to me. I also love all pretty she is, even I know you can't dent that she isn't as beautiful as the princesses. I could go on and on but I don't think you'd want to hear the rest with that look on your face."

True enough, the empress, Song Zihan did have an expression full of disgust and hatred.

Yu Yingyi watched the quarrel between Song Liya and her mother. This never happened in the novel, they were always supportive of each other.

Somehow, every plot in the novel was being erased and being replaced.

Nothing was the same.

Ever since she was transmigrated into this world, nothing was ever going the way she thought it would, so why not change it?

An idea sparked in Yu Yingyi's mind.

What if she could change the way Song Zihan thought of homosexuals? If she managed to do that, there was no doubt there was going to be a legalization of same-sex relationships and more people who were into the same-sex would appear.

Something new would begin, a whole plot would be erased, and this would be the new plot.

Their marriage would become a symbol of the people who were into the same-sex.

But why should Yu Yingyi care? She was straight.

But then Song Liya would become trapped by Song Zihan ideals and somehow...the thought of that made her feel a sharp pain in her heart.

There was another problem though, how should she change the way Song Zihan thought of them?

The first step was to make the marriage between her and Song Liya happen to give Song Zihan an example.

Once their marriage went through, there would be appearances of same-sex relationships, Yu Yingyi

was sure of it.

From then on, everything would change.

When Yu Yingyi was snapped out of her thoughts, Song Liya and Song Zihan were still arguing with fumes coming out of their ears.

"Why can't you understand mother?!"

"What is there to understand?"

"Understand that I love this girl!"

Everything was turning chaotic, she had the feeling something terrible was going to happen sooner or later, she needed to step in as quickly as possible.

"STOP!!"

When Yu Yingyj yelled, both of them turned quiet and looked at her with surprise.

But Yu Yingyi wasn't worried about that.

As she started talking, her mind only had one question.

Why was she going this far?
