After Hugto walked past a group of strangers, he continued on his way to the store. Inside the store, there were only a few people present, and they couldn't help but glance at Hugto. Unfazed by the attention, Hugto focused on his task and proceeded to gather his drinks and food.
Suddenly, a loud sound caught Hugto's attention from a nearby corner. As he approached, he noticed a child crying, accompanied by their brother and mother. The child's ankle was bleeding, causing distress. Hugto remarked, "Why is such a young human crying so intensely over ankle pain? If it were me, I would endure it like a man."
Hugto approached the child and performed an action that appeared to heal the ankle.
However, in reality, he didn't manipulate the nociceptors directly but rather commanded them to cease their effect, relieving the child's pain. The child stopped crying, leaving the brother and mother astonished by what Hugto had done.
The brother expressed gratitude, acknowledging that he didn't understand the type of magic or power Hugto possessed. The mother also thanked Hugto, appreciating his help with her child.
Curious about the tall young man's name, the mother inquired. Hugto responded, "Oh, if you're referring to me, you can call me Hagu." Both the brother and mother repeated the name, acknowledging Hagu as their savior and expressing their gratitude once again. Hagu humbly accepted their thanks, considering it no big deal.
Hagu proceeded to the cashier, seemingly acquiring the ability to effortlessly know how to pay without inconveniencing the cashier.
Without delay, Hagu left the store and headed home, wearing a smirk of satisfaction on his face.
Hagu reached home and lay on his bed, reflecting on the events where he had taken the lives of three humans.
He began to recount, saying, "First, I eliminated two human males by severing their heads. Then, I eliminated a human female by devouring her soul, simply by grasping it and extracting it from her body."
Despite the gravity of his actions, Hagu remained unfazed. In his mind, he found it unsettling yet intriguing to comprehend the emotional nuances of other human beings.
Content with his thoughts, Hagu drifted into a peaceful slumber, enjoying a restful sleep.
Hagu, in his contemplation, recollected another individual he had encountered — a hopeless individual whom he had attempted to save.
"I also removed his soul by simply grasping it, just like with the human female," Hagu added, realizing he had forgotten to mention this particular incident.
With this thought in mind, Hagu continued to find solace in his ability to understand the complexities of human emotions. Soon after, he peacefully drifted into a deep sleep.
Hagu woke up and followed his usual morning routine: brushing his teeth, taking a shower, eating breakfast, and getting dressed. As he continued his walk, he overheard someone on a nearby device discussing the news of the four individuals who had been killed. However, the news did not disclose any names or entities responsible for their deaths, unaware that it was Hagu who had taken their lives. Hagu remained unsurprised by this lack of information, silently affirming in his mind, "No humans can ever discover that it was me. And if they do find out, I could effortlessly destroy them without hesitation."
Arriving at his school, Hagu spotted Yuna, the person he had met the day before. Yuna excitedly ran up to Hagu and exclaimed, "Hey, what's up, bro?" Hagu replied, "Uh, what's up... too, bro." Yuna expressed relief, saying, "Good to see you're feeling better, Hug-Chan." Internally, Hagu thought to himself, "Stop calling me by that name, it doesn't fit at all." Nonetheless, he chose to let it slide.
Hagu and Yuna walked together to their classroom, sitting down as friends. The other students couldn't help but stare at Hagu's extraordinary height. One of them even approached Hagu, inviting him to play basketball, but Hagu politely declined the offer.
"A God that ascended all human emotions…"
