First Journey

"Here these are your 2 weeks of medicine but where are you going in this state, Lautrian?"

"Well, Grandma I was thinking of visiting 'Verq' city to get a full body check up. After all I can't stay cooped inside the home my entire life even if I die early I just want to experience watching new scenery once in my life"

Kalki replied to grandma Jeremy, who was the one providing medicines to Lautrian, the former owner of this body. Kalki didn't like the Lautrian name even a little bit so he had already decided to change it once he got his system panel.

"Well I hope you soon get fully healthy and enjoy your trip...

Also your personality has become much brighter than before.

I am glad that good for nothing fathers of your's is gone"

Grandma Jerry spoke showing concern for Kalki and hate for his father.

" Let's not talk about dad anymore grandma...

*exhaling*

let me take my leave for now I will meet you later "

Kalki said goodbye to grandma Jerry and moved towards the bus stand.

A few minutes later the bus stopped at the stand. Kalki along with other passengers entered the bus and sat down after paying the traveling fee. The bus was very big and had over 70 seats. Due to it being modified by mana stone and other materials from the dungeon it was way faster, safer and more comfortable than the buses from his previous life.

Kalki looked at the scenery of afternoon clouds wandering in the sky and a bright sunlight falling on the fields of people living in Rehanik City. The constant flow of wind and dancing trees and crops add an entirely different charm to it. Looking at the scenery Kalki falls asleep without the care of destination after all his stop was the last one.

****

The city Verq was beautiful and much more advanced than the Rehanik City where he lived. The thing that Kalki liked the most was the pure air that the whole planet contains due to the presence of mana and use of mana related fuels.

Though calling Rehanik an advanced city was a stretch due it being far behind in technology in comparison to capital and other places, it suited more of a village theme according to this world.

This world was far more advanced than the kalki's previous one, due to the presence of mana and dungeons alongside with other species like dwarfs, elves, orcs and seaman or mermaids which though not all but most of them were a part of the justice faction led by hero association.

Just by the fact that mainland contains airtrains for basic transportation instead of buses and man made floating islands were common there, shows how advanced this world was. In comparison the Rehanik City was only a few more years advanced than Kalki's previous World which tells how much it is lacking.

Kalki booked a room in the hotel, left his bag containing clothes and other items there and put necessary things in his small bag. After booking a hotel for 1 day and 2 nights, Kalki moved to the Association hall.

On the way to the association hall Kalki saw many different things and many cool technologically advanced things like compressed bottles which had the storage of 100 liters compressed into the size of 1L bottle, lenses that can provide night vision and the most awesome thing being dimensional artifacts like storage rings, bracelet, pendent, etc.

Though these things were very cool they have a high chance of not working in dungeons. Thus artifacts made only by master craftsmen or found in dungeons are the most reliable things. Although the reason behind them not working in dungeons was still not clear, in the novel it was mentioned that maybe due to the immense mana in gates damages simple products.

The dimensional rings were the most common thing among the awakeners but it also cost a huge amount of money. Rings with only a space of 30 meter cubes cost close to 150k G-coins which in comparison to an average non awakener family was equal to their yearly wage. But he didn't need these things right now after all, something more interesting was waiting for him in the dungeon.

Kalki entered the association hall and directly walked to the selling counter. Though during his journey till here many people watched him with strange looks in their eyes. But kalki decided not to give any responses to them.

In a world where the beauty standard was gone out of the league and the most beautiful men and women could be compared with the beauty of god's thanks to the all mighty mana, kalki looked like trash in comparison.

He was wearing his white jacket and white pants and a black cloak. Though his jacket and pants were full length and covered most of him but his little uncovered face and hands still showed the deep black spots on his skin.

Ignoring the incoming gazes Kalki stood on the line. Soon his turn came and the men asked him what he wanted to sell.

.

"I want to sell this B-rank 'Heal' skill gem," Ryuma said.

.

"Hmm… put it on the scanning machine on your left".

After the machine scanned the book the man on the counter spoke.

.

" It's legit; it will be sold at the price of 813K G-coins. After deducting the Guild and association commission fees you will get 769K G-coins. Do you want to sell it ?"

.

"Yes I am fine with it"

.

"Show me the id-card of that said person who got this skill gem on the left side of the scanner machine alongside with yours"

.

"Here" kalki showed his mother's id-card which was placed alongside the skill gem in the memento.

.

"Done. Now you can take your money in your bank account or in cash from the cashier machine. You can also check out things to buy from the hall rooms.

This is your card, put it inside the cashier machine to pay or buy things inside the hall and submit it to the cashier machine to get the money" , the men at the counter spoke, explaining everything to Kalki in one go.

Kalki humbly took the card and bowed a little, showing respect to the man at the counter who didn't flinch or show any disgusted expression towards him, showing just how much of a well mannered man he was and Kalki respected that. The man at the counter in response just smiled a little.

The whole association hall was quite big, consisting of three floors. except the ground floor with various things, each floor has their specific things. It was just like the malls in Kalki's previous life. Due to being low on time, Kalki made his way straight to the second floor to buy monster core.
