5 Reigner awakened

Enveloped by the fierce wind, Sylvie's aura changed.

Her hair fluttered erratically behind her, turning into silver streaks as some time passed. The lady's straight posture seemed even more alluring for Reigner and he was already feeling calmer just from that alone.

The lady's aura then became poised and the silver streaks were the only thing that could be audible. Her fierce wind blades were affecting the kids and mother who had turned their eyes toward Sylvie with hope and expectation.

With her fluttering school uniform, Sylvie stepped forth.

If not her, then who? She was the one who awakened the magic first and although it was too sudden, Sylvie knew that this chance can not be wasted. Her blue eyes went up, then with the target locked, Sylvia's hand waved.

Her goal was to send the deadly wind blades at the soldier.

This has been achieved without problems at all! The wind blades tore through the wind and even gathered more of it on its way, then swallowed up the target! But amid such wind technique, the metallic soldier and its horse just hissed.

While the metallic horse let out dark green glint with its body, the soldier's lance thrust. He did it so fast that it couldn't be seen by Reigner! Not only that, but the silver wind blades also were disturbing his sight.

"This is bad..."

Sylvie muttered then. Her technique couldn't interrupt her blue eyes and so she saw that the soldier's lance just shattered every wind blade of hers in the blink of an eye. Her pretty face turned sorrowful, but it's not the school test where she can just give up!

Another wave of silver blades gathered around Sylvie.

"He is not going at us..."

"...Perhaps, he is trying to test our abilities... Either way, I won't give up!"

The silver-haired added one more hand. Her knowledge about the wind magic was far too lacking, so all Sylvie could do was feel and add as much as she can. If one hand can send the wind blades, then two should send two times more.

And as if trying to feel closer to the new power, Sylvie was also aiming to feel the wind with her body and system. The lady's back slouched a little as she kept sending more and more wind blades.

"I must help."

"Father? Is this a gun?"

"Yeah, let me help! We can not rely on the lady!"

Reigner also felt like this, but what could he do? He had yet to feel any energy and the power to understand the soldier was way too useless now. The metallic soldier just intercepted every wind blade without muttering a word.

And so, the father staggered forward.

He was scared but felt better with the shotgun in his hand. He came relatively close, then unleashed his gun! The strong force recoiled him a few steps back, then he glanced at the horse. Little did he know that both soldier and horse just peeked at him, then didn't even continue to regard him as a potential threat.

"Just die, you monster! Monster!"

Mr. Father was opposite though. After his first shot didn't leave a dent, he didn't give up and reloaded the shotgun! Continuously showering the enemies with the bullets, Mr. Father was hoping for the miracle.

And so did it happen!

The miracle, that is!

Booooooom!

"Father!"

"Darling!"

The father's shotgun bullets got depleted. Only then, the powerful explosion rang out. The bullets came out of nowhere and turned into magical bullets filled with energy! The bullets were strong enough to elicit hurtful growl from the horse!

Its legs even bent a little.

"I knew my Sebastiano won't disappoint! DIEEEEE!"

Now, it had the best bullets its barrel had ever felt! The bullets filled with the energy coming from the holder - Mr. Father. He was fueling the weapon with the newly awakened power, ready to get rid of the enemies.

The explosive sounds which were also flashy along with the silver fierce wind blades proved to be enough disturbance. At some point, these two should be able to penetrate through the heavy armor and metallic horse's tough body.

That's why the soldier pulled the reins and the horse's legs got raised!

"Be careful, father!"

"Father!"

"Oh, shiet!"

No point in wasting time with the new awakened.

The soldier confirmed his thoughts and ended his small experiment. His horse galloped forward and with Mr. Father being the closest, the lance rocketed toward him. The soldier had never neglected his training, thus, the lance didn't even need more than five seconds to arrive before the human.

Its tip met the shotgun, then the unexpected happened.

"Arghhhh! Don't... Arghhhh! Come closer!"

It turns out that the shotgun itself became a magical weapon. The lance's tip couldn't go through it and impaled itself while shaking forth. The sudden change forced the soldier to let out more energy, his lance letting out the dark green glow.

However, the weapon of his rebounded back.

And what came out at this time were the silver blades. Although the silver blades had to take care of the heavy armor first, one could see the hope within this small, brief exchange. The two awakened nodded to each other, then prepared to continue press forward.

"Impressive... The energy has just awakened yet it is so pure and strong... It seems like our kingdom still has a chance."

Only Reigner could understand those words... But before he could convey those, the soldier made a return. His horse slowly knocked the ground as it retreated... It was obvious that he is preparing for the powerful charge forth!

The hearts of humans clenched...

They were using techniques all this time, but what if the soldier had yet to use his offensive only played with them by moving his lance around? This thought crept into the hearts of everyone and so they finally realized the gap.

The gap in experience and knowledge.

"Metal Rush."

"Blurgh!"

In an instant, the lance of the soldier pierced through the heart of Mr. Father. The bloody lance then got raised and with perched on it human, the soldier ended up all the struggles of humans! His horse also let out his growl contentedly, its green eyes shining.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"FATHERRRRRRRRR!"

The despair swept through the family... They cried and even tried to rush for their father, but Sylvie did her best to stop them. She was feeling sad as if the one who died was her father as well. Her powers reflected her wish and clad the family of three in the wind blades.

Those wind blades were friendly. Not only the family got stopped, but their bodies lifted allowing Sylvie to carry them. She tried jumping and to her surprise, the lady could fly! Her eyes instantly turned to Reigner.

He was also full of despair.

So useless... The nightmares bullied him, and now, he was one of the people who hadn't awakened. This was just hit to his dignity and soul... His sad face with the dark circle below his eyes pained Sylvie as she could tell he was trying to help too.

Her powers went for him, but the limitations of new awakened finally word itself up! Her current limit was too low! If not the fact that the kids were lightweight along with their mother, then Sylvie wouldn't be even able to lift them for a little!

"Reigner!"

"Run, Sylvie! Run!"

"No, I don't want to!"

"RUN!"

Reigner was not heartless to exchange his life for the kids whose parent had just died in front of him! He also was useless and because of that, Reigner couldn't accept the help of his classmate. After he took a peek at Sylvie's new form, Reigner calmed down and just waved at her.

"Reigner!"

And to make her finally disappear, Reigner sprinted towards the metallic soldier!

When his body came so close that aura of the horse could be felt on his skin, Reigner looked up to look at the soldier. His unique eyes were filled with magic, similar to the monster from the nightmare.

He had magic and so he had the last word...

Sylvie couldn't bear to look at Reigner's suicide. She turned around and flew with tears flowing down her cheeks. At the beginning of her flight, Sylvie was so overwhelmed by the emotions that she just spun around in one place.

Thanks to it, her eyes spotted the city and the houses being burned by the soldier. People were either killed or enslaved... The pitiful fate of earthlings deepened her sorrow, then she instinctively flew toward the vast forest...

Reigner could no longer see Sylvie.

The soldier and his horse were the only ones who could enter his eyesight... Both of them weren't moving at all...

"Yet again this play? Do you like to toy with people so much?"

He cursed, then even bumped his fist on the horse's metallic body... The tough body repelled his fist, then shattered a little of Reigner's bones... If he swung that fist with all his might, then his hand would be no longer here.

"Hah..."

The lamenting sound slipped out from his lips, then Reigner reached out for his cell phone. The sight of his bank account could somehow soothe his pain no matter what. He was also fond of the cell phone as it could show off his game servers as well.

With the phone in his hand, Reigner's eyes dilated.

The phone suddenly turned into the energy particles that flew into his body!

There was only one set available and other than some suit and blade, Reigner could see a lot of question marks before his eyes. The nightmare set was connected to the nightmare he had been experiencing for the whole month for sure.

When he peeked into the nightmare's blade, Reigner spotted that to create the item, he needs at least one thousand nightmare points... Those points were the mystery, but he already had seven hundred gathered!

'It has to be because of my nightmares... What is this masochistic power?'

Not like the origins matter right now. Reigner selected the second option which was the temporary creation! The black energy particles erupted from within his body to gather around the right arm. It swirled abundantly which was enough to notify the soldier.

Anyway, Reigner had already formed the blade.

And what followed that was the scream.

[MY GATHERED NIGHTMARE ELEMENTS!]

This voice belonged to the monster from the nightmares!

Reigner unknowingly smiled, then muttered.

"Serves you right."
