“My uncle,” Lilith noted. “Are you sure?”

“I mean, it’s only a rumor.” Willow waved her hand. “And you know how weird Portland can get. Did you know that the name of a city was decided by a coin toss?”

Ah, yes, who could forget that day? It was when the Underground was in its infancy, and the name of the city was under hot debate. Lilith remembered watching from the shadows, with bated breath and waiting eyes. Personally, she was fond of the other name, but it would have been strange to have another Boston.

“Well,” Lilith said with a shrug. “Portland is, and always will be, strange.”

“I guess,” Willow replied, and closed the door behind Lilith.

As she did, she stifled a yawn, and Lilith checked the clock. It was 9:30pm, PST. Damn, was she really going to make her stay up longer to listen to a lecture?
