Chapter 31: Ghost Sightings
If you wanted to find a murderer in the Underground, you had to look in the mundane world. Many of its residents, from witches to old gods, liked to be flashy, they liked to show off. After all, that was how their stories were made to begin with.
And if they murdered someone and didn’t say anything about it? Well, that meant they were either more restrained than most, or worse, someone normal had done it.
And if someone on the mundane world had, then that meant they knew about the Underground. Lilith had already experienced a breach of security once already, and she wasn’t keen on having another so soon.
What truly irked her though was, despite her efforts, she couldn’t find any more clues. Od’s ravens hadn’t noticed anything out of ordinary in their search, and Willow wasn’t able to find anymore injuries on Tuck.
And with a lack of witnesses, that meant her investigation had come to a grinding halt.
