Stubborn

Xua Ying Yue looked at the young boy who still had his hand on her wrist and frowned, she shook his hand off her wrist after she snapped out of her daze and coldly said, "You don't have to speak for me."

With everything that happened with Lu Biya and the rest, Xua Ying Yue developed resistance against those who were well-off and rich. And this young man who just pulled her back, was dressed in brands that she had only seen in those overly large billboards, even if he did not do anything to hurt her, Xua Ying Yue did not want to get entangled with him anyway.

After she was done shaking off his hand, she turned to look at the boys who were apologising to her and very calmly said, " Please play with snow at the back of the building if you are regretful of what you have done just now, there are many parents and students who are walking past this path if you missed an aim just now, you might miss another one. It can be very dangerous."

" Yes, Yes we understand," The young boys immediately nodded their heads before apologising once again and turning around to leave, they seemed to have realised that, unlike the man who simply gave them a light scolding, Xua Ying Yue was different. Her eyes that were staring at them were so oppressive that they felt that there was no colour in this world.

Once those boys left, Xua Ying Yue turned around to leave as well but as soon as she took three steps forward, a shadowy figure flashed in front of her and made her raise her head and look at him. It was the same young man who just saved her from getting hit by the snowball.

" Are you going to leave without saying anything?" asked the young boy with a sunny smile which caused his cheeks to sink slightly causing his dimples to appear. " I just helped you, as you said —— if the snowball hit you just now you could have broken your head."

Xua Ying Yue raised her brows at the man who was speaking to her so casually and spoke in a cold voice, " What do you want then? Do you wish me to say thank you?" Though she wanted to show her gratitude, something seemed to be stopping her from saying thank you to this man, maybe it was his expensive clothes or the fact that he saved someone like her who was dressed in nothing but rags, no——

She thought in her head, it was his smile. The man's smile was untainted and pure which was completely different than hers and that made her slightly annoyed.

" I have no need for your thank you miss," the young man stated as he looked at her while straightening his back and looking down at her with his head lowered slightly. " I am new here and I cannot find the administration building, if you can help me a little, I will be grateful."

His words only made Xua Ying Yue's frown, even more, deeper, she looked at the man thinking that he was hitting on her but then she looked at his clear eyes and knew that he was genuinely asking for help, she pursed her lips and then said, "It's not far from here, you can follow this path and then turn left before coming to a stop in front of the dormitories where you need to take a right in the south direction, you will find the administration building there."

She thought that the man would thank her and leave but instead, he continued to stand in front of her causing her to knit her brows once again as she asked, " What now?"

" You are not very considerate, are you miss?" The man commented but Xua Ying Yue was not at all offended, she simply blinked her eyes and then stared at the man with a slight tilt of her head as she asked, " Why do I have to be considerate of a man whom I just met?"

" Correction, I am a man whom you just met and also your saviour who stopped you from falling on the pavement which is cold and hard and saved your pretty little head from getting broken," said the man with a cheeky smile as he pulled the strap of his duffle bag over his shoulder and then added, " I have a very poor sense of direction which is why I need your help."

" If that was the case then you should have come with a guardian," stated Xua Ying Yue firmly but the man did not seem to mind as his grin widened and he replied, " What kind of a man asks his mother to help him in college admission?"

" The one who can't even find his way to the administration building," Xua Ying Yue deadpanned and the young man for the first time flushed a little. " I know …but I thought that someone might help me. Come on, Miss …it will just take a few minutes."

Xua Ying Yue pursed her lips in annoyance as her lips formed a thin line, she seemed to have realised that there was no point in refusing this man who was like a dog sticking to his master. She could only pull the strap of her bag that she was carrying on her right shoulder and agreed with a sigh, " Fine, but do not expect me to fill out your form."

" I can do that much," the young man said looking slightly affronted which made Xua Ying Yue smile a little but she masked it as a sneer and then said, " I hope so."

With that, she turned around and continued to walk towards the administration building from where she just returned. Her pace was brisk as she continued to march forward without waiting for the young man who stared at her in shock and daze before chasing after her.

" Hey wait for me miss!"
