No consequences

Madam Tian did not ask anything further when she saw that Xua Yenay was not willing to talk about her and Xua Ying Yue's past and the reason why the two of them chose to come to this small city instead of staying in the S city which was developing much faster than the cities on the outskirts. She turned her attention to the vegetable which she was stir frying on the gas stove while the dishwasher behind her did not say anything and silently turned his head to the side.

Xua Yenay pursed her lips and waited quietly on the side before picking up the dishes and then placing them on the small trolley cart that made small creaking noises as she pushed it inside the dining area to serve the customers.

Xua Ying Yue on the other hand had no idea that something like this went down in the cooking area, she continued to take the orders and efficiently relayed them all to Madam Tian and the other cook who was helping Madam Tian in cooking.

The two sisters worked together and even though they were so busy that they did not have the time to put their feet on the ground and continued to spin like turning tops, they were able to hold up the fort without making any mistakes, all the workers who were working on the construction site finished having their lunch and then paid for their food.

Xua Yenay was in charge of collecting the money as she greeted the customers and bid them a good day asking them to come back soon with a smile, as she bid the customers goodbye her eyes instinctively fell on Xua Ying Yue who was wiping the dirty tables with a rag and putting the dirty dishes on the trolley that was used to bring the dirty dishes inside the cooking area.

Even though her hands were covered with bandages Xua Ying Yue's work efficiency was not deterred, she cleaned one table after another without much trouble causing Xua Yenay's eyes to turn slightly red. She knew that her sister did not blame her but Xua Yenay could not help but blame herself, the students of this small town despite being undeserving were running to the S city for better opportunities and here, her sister who deserved to study in the best university of the S city was cleaning dirty tables covered in oil and what not.

If only she was a bit more ——

" Miss?" Xue Yenay's thoughts were disrupted by the worker who was holding a seven yuan bill in his hand, seeing that the man had been waiting for his turn to pay till now while she was daydreaming Xua Yenay was slightly flustered but she did not show it on her face and then apologised to the worker before focusing all her attention into collecting money.

It was fine, no matter what happened in the past —— they needed to forget all about it and move on to the future. She will work as hard as she can and make sure that her sister was happier than ever!

Xua Ying Yue finished piling up the dirty dishes on the cart and then pushed it inside the kitchen area, she had no idea about the number of thoughts that her sister was having and that Xua Yenay wanted her to forget the past and live happily in the future if she knew then Xua Ying Yue would have told her sister that she will never be able to live in peace until she pays all her bullies with twice as much pain as she went through.

She knew was that she needed to work harder for that, such that she will be able to get what she wanted and what she wanted was to watch Lu Biya burn just like her hands did when she ordered her lackeys to push her hands inside the furnace.

With the cart in her hands, she walked inside the cooking area and continued to walk further inside until she reached the small washing area which contained nothing but a few buckets that were full of water and dishwashing soap, the dishwasher was sitting on a small wooden bucket and smiled at her when he saw her coming.

" You are the new waitress right?" The dishwasher was a man around twenty, he was not good looking but he had a baby face and looked like a gentle person.

" I am, it's nice to meet you," greeted Xua Ying Yue with a small smile as she started to pile the dirty dishes neatly and in order such that the dishwasher did not have to bother himself with pulling and pushing the bowls and plates.

Seeing Xua Ying Yue's orderly work, the dishwasher was stunned. He looked at the neatly stacked dishes and showed a thumbs up to Xua Ying Yue in praise.

" You are really good at work," he told Xua Ying Yue with a smile. " Shuyan used to simply dump these dishes on me, oh don't think that I am bad-mouthing her. I am not interested in gossiping about others behind their backs but I am really impressed that you are this serious about working as a waitress."

" Work no matter how small need to be done with great responsibility," stated Xua Ying Yue as she placed the last bowl that was on her cart and then straightened up and looked at the young dishwasher and added, " Because each responsibility has terrible consequences if one was to not deal with it properly."

Didn't Lu Biya bully her thinking that she will never have to face the consequences? Xua Ying Yue looked down at her hands which were covered with bandages and one side of her lips hitched up. There was no such thing as no consequences, even the smallest mistake can bring great disaster if one was not careful.

The young man nodded upon hearing Xua Ying Yue's words and snapped his fingers, " You are right about that," he agreed with a smile. " But there are times when people escape without facing the consequences."

He looked at Madam Tian before lowering his voice and said, " Just look at Chi Shuyan, she ran away without paying back Madam Tian's gratitude."

Xua Ying Yue did not reply, she simply looked at the young dishwasher and smiled softly.

I am sorry for no update, the chapter got deleted and I am in a lot of stress at the moment. I know an apology is not enough but I have never missed an update for no reason.
