Got the DNA report

Once Zou Zeming was done washing his hands, he walked out of the kitchen and then headed towards the couch which was sitting in the middle of the living hall and then sat down on the chair which was opposite Xue Ying Yue. There was only a table between them as he stretched out his hand and then picked up a round, red cherry before putting it in his mouth and biting it. 

Instantly, the sweet juice of the red cherry flooded inside Zou Zeming's mouth as he licked the sweet juice off his lips and then looked up at Xue Ying Yue before saying, "Is everything going well at college? No trouble?" He sounded so innocent that Xue Ying Yue felt an urge to punch him in the face. Because she knew that he was taunting her, as he knew that she was often entangled in trouble. 

In fact, with how nosy Zou Zeming was, he must be already aware of what happened at the business section of the college. However, what made Xue Ying Yue speechless was that this man was questioning her even though the drama had nothing to do with her. 

"Hush — now. Why are you asking such a question to Ying Yue?" Old Master Gu smacked his grandson on the arm and then said," Ying Yue is such a nice girl. I doubt that she is the one who is in trouble. It should be you." 

Old Master Gu knew how much of a freaking mess his grandson was, especially after the death of his father. He sighed heavily when he thought of how his two grandsons were affected by the death of their father. 

One became obsessed with medical school as he wanted to become the best doctor who could save even the dying, while the other one became unhinged and swore that he would become the best lawyer of the city and then sent the one who killed his father behind the bars. 

Zou Zeming snickered lightly when he heard his grandfather call Xue Ying Yue, a good girl. If this girl was good, then he was a saint. 

"You are right, Grandpa," Zou Zeming leaned back on his chair as he looked at Xue Ying Yue who sat opposite him with a light glare in her eyes. "She is a very good girl." 

After he was done speaking, he winked at Xue Ying Yue as if he was telling her that he was going to keep her secret for her, which caused Xue Ying Yue to release heavy breath. 

She wanted to tell Old Master Gu that she was going to take her leave, but then the housekeeper walked over with an awkward expression and said, "Master Wuhan is calling, Old Master. He says that he wants to talk to you about the will of the late master." 

Zou Zeming who was smiling turned solemn when he heard the housekeeper mention the will of his father. It was as if someone had smacked him in the face with reality and told him that his father was no more, that even if he were to pretend that he was not willing to believe that his father was gone —— he was no more.

Xue Ying Yue noticed the change in his sunny demeanor and pursed her lips. The two of them stayed silent and watched Old Master Gu stand up and then walk over to his study where he had installed the telephone.

"You are not going to say anything?" Zou Zeming asked when he saw that Xue Ying Yue had turned silent. In the S city, many women tried to get closer to him by giving him condolences, he did not like any one of them but if Xue Ying Yue were to offer hers then he might accept them.

"Whats the point?" Xue Ying Yue questioned coldly as she looked up at him, feeling a bit stifled. "It's not like my condolences would help you forget your pain?" She rubbed her hands which were covered with gloves and Zou Zeming noticed it as well. He knew that she did a lot. Especially when she was feeling a bit upset. 

Xue Ying Yue did not know that her small actions were caught by Zou Zeming. She continued to speak, "Some wounds stay with us for a lifetime." 

"You are right about that," Zou Zeming nodded as he stood up from the chair and then added, "However what we can do is to make sure that the pain lessens by supporting one another." He turned his head over his shoulder and smiled at Xue Ying Yue before saying, "Want to come with me?" 

Xue Ying Yue wanted to refuse as it was already too late but before she could refuse Zou Zeming said, "I have gotten the DNA report between the Ma Yao and Qin Yu Yan. Do you not want to deal with Pei Qingjiao? I thought you were itching to do that."

When Xue Ying Yue heard Zou Zeming say that he had gotten his hand on the DNA report, her eyes lit up she stood up from the couch and then said, "If this was the case then why did you not tell me earlier?" She rolled her eyes with a cold expression. 

Seeing her act like this, Zou Zeming wanted to reach out and pinch her cheeks, but he knew that if he did that then Xue Ying Yue would run for the hills which was why he controlled his impulse. He then turned to walk to the stairs which led to the second floor and then said, "I was going to say it, but you continued to glare at me so much that I was scared." 

He turned to look at the Housekeeping lady and asked her to bring two cups of tea to his study room before climbing the stairs. Xue Ying Yue who knew that he wanted to follow her, looked at the man's back before sighing and then climbed after him. 

She needed to get that DNA report, only then the first step of her plan would succeed.
