The Prince's Palace

Lord Edmond then turned to introduce Nicholas to the different Council Members. The Corporali had twelve council members, with one of them serving as leader.

"Each council member represents a region of Corpora, that's what we call our part of Merlen. It is only natural that the province and the people be named the same." Lord Edmond explained to Nicholas as they walked towards the Prince' palace.

"And what region do you represent, Lord Edmond?" Nicholas asked.

He used a formal title to address his grandfather since he wasn't sure if he was willing to be called grandfather by the son of the man who caused the deaths of his two eldest children.

"Please, you are my grandson, you can either call me grandfather, which I would prefer, or Edmond since you are of a higher rank than I." Lord Edmond said as they entered the palace.

"I'll just call you grandfather, I call Dion, Uncle now anyway." Nicholas laughed as he looked around the palace.
