His breath was upon her skin, brushing over it every time he spoke. She tried to move but his grasp was tight.
Snow's hands were held above her head as he leaned in close to her face .
"Let me go " she breathed.
"Not until you tell me what is going on," he said.
Snow bit her lip in anger looking away from his angry gaze.
She had refused to answer his question when he asked her about Carol, which landed her in the position she was in now.
Earlier.....
" I guess you can't see with all that in your face " the woman in the front smirked.
Snow breathed.
"Miss.." she turned to Patty who whispered back to her. "Miss Simons, please go ahead with your meeting " Snow muttered.
Carol raised her eyebrow and looked back at the screen.
"As I was saying we could give it a feminine look, with such colours and figure " she let out.
Snow could see the look of approval from her fellow workers and smiled, getting up she interrupted Carol again.
"Am sorry but I will have to ask you something " she let out.
"You sure do love interrupting others " Carol frowned.
"Why did you choose such a colour? And the structure of the perfume bottle why is it designed that way?" she asked.
Carol blinked and Snow waited.
"Because it's what is suitable for the new product and different from the recent ones we made " she almost stammered.
"Mmm, am not sure that's why, " Snow said.
"What do you mean?" Carol raised her voice.
"If you did come up with this idea, you would know why it was the way it was. But your answer didn't sound as confident as you were before "
Carol glared back at her.
"I don't care who you are but you can't come in here and start saying such nonsense. Please leave "
Snow chuckled as she slowly moved a step closer to Carol.
"The reason why Constance has been having more sales than us, even when the ideas came from her was because they knew the how and why the product was made to look and smell. Which we failed in even when we claimed the ideas were ours ".
Carol moved back and gazed at the veiled face.
"What are you driving at?" she gritted her teeth.
Snow looked back at the staff, "Simple, these ideas are not originally ours. Either you are lying or they are".
Snow could hear the murmurs among them as they all gazed up at Carol.
"That is nonsense, these are my ideas. I came up with them " Carol yelled.
Snow faced the woman, for a year she had always wondered how they kept having the same ideas when she always originally came with them.
This was her idea, and unless they had the same brain, which was impossible. Carol was lying.
"Then don't worry, all you have to do is prove they are and we will investigate who has been linking them to our competitor " Snow explained.
"Huh?" Carol muttered.
"And if it is true they are yours and not stolen...We are going to investigate everyone in this department to find out who has been stealing your ideas and giving them out " she announced.
Snow looked around seeing them look confused while Carol's face held only fear.
...
"Now I get why you wanted to start with them " Divean walked into Snow's office.
She looked up meeting his gaze.
"Half of the company is in a frenzy, Constance I brought you here to help me not tear down my company " he said.
She smiled.
"And that is what am doing, helping you " she let out.
"The board members are pissed, the finance, advertising, and legal departments are going crazy. And Carol has been asking to see me the whole afternoon".
"Ohh what does she need from you?"
"I can't say, I haven't met her yet," he said.
"Then do, I will accompany you," she said.
"You, why?"
"Nothing..." Snow looked.
Divean frowned, she was hiding something.
"Okay then let's go," he said.
Snow nodded getting up and followed Divean to his office.
