Carol was asleep in her cell when she suddenly heard the entrance being opened, her eyes opened to see a female figure enter.
She sighed closing her eyes and going back to sleep. But the newcomer spoke.
"I have a message for you " she muttered.
Carol's eyes opened again," message..from who?"
"A friend," said the stranger coming closer to her.
"Hmmm, a friend. Is he a tall handsome man with gorgeous dark eyes?" she got up.
The woman smirked pushing her hand in her pocket as she nodded.
"He is but you got something wrong, he has gorgeous blue eyes " she muttered before pulling out something from her pocket and stabbing it hard into Carol's chest
She gasped falling back but the woman didn't stop, withdrawing it and jamming it into her chest again.
The guards at the door didn't flinch or move when Carol's screams filled the corridors.
...
Snow was in the living room doing her work when she heard the news being announced on the TV.
It was about the death of Carol in a prison cell, seems her cellmate killed her.
She frowned watching the video show as they took her body away.
"Are you okay, your face is pale " she heard someone ask her, glanced back to see Divean.
She gulped nodding.
"She was bad but what happened to her is sad " she muttered.
Divean sighed sitting next to her.
"She heard it coming, you were not the only person she had offended " he let out.
Snow frowned.
"Do you think Tom did it?" she asked.
"Maybe, since we found out her identity," he said.
"I guess ". She breathed.
The words Carol had told her sounded in her head. He was coming for her.
"What's wrong?" Divean asked.
"Nothing, guess am tired. Am going to go lay down " she said.
He nodded watching her walk away.
...
Alia was in the kitchen with her grandma making dinner when her father walked in.
"Sweetie go check on your mother " he said.
She frowned.
"Why did you make her angry?" she asked.
"No, why would I " he sat next to her.
"Well because she doesn't like you, like she does me " she giggled.
He chuckled.
"Can't argue with that"
"Did something happen?" his mother asked.
"She saw the news about Carol," he said.
His mother sighed.
....
"Mommy can I come in " Snow heard a knock on the door.
She sat up from bed smiling, "Yes sweetie, come in "
The door opened and Alia walked in running to the bed.
Snow opened her arms welcoming her.
The warmth of her small hands embraced her.
"Is something wrong, thought you were helping grandma?" she asked.
"I am but then I missed you. So I came here to hug you " she smiled.
Snow's smile widened hugging her even tighter.
"Thank you, honey ".
Alia decided not to go back and stay with her in bed, they fell asleep soon after.
When Divean came in he sat down next to them on the bed, watching them quietly.
Alia was fully wrapped in Snow's arms while they slept.
Snow slowly opened her eyes, "Here to take her to bed?" she asked.
"Mmm, but I don't think she will like it when she wakes up " he said looking at his daughter's peaceful sleeping face.
"Then let her stay next to me...it helps me sleep too," she said.
His eyes met hers.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
She smiled her eyes looking away down at Alia.
"I am"
"That's a lie " he replied.
Snow chuckled.
"Why do you think so?.. I think I know what am feeling " she let out.
"Your eyes, they never lie " he answered.
"Huh?" She blinked meeting his gaze again.
"That night...when I first saw you tears in your eyes " he muttered.
Snow listened.
"You had left the party soon after your sister's speech and ran off. I followed you and thought you would notice my presence " he frowned, "but you were too deep in your pain to look back ".
Her hands clasped tightly as she realized the day he was speaking of.
"I could hear your quiet sobs so I got closer and asked what was wrong. Startled you looked back to see me there next to you " his eyes were on her now.
Divean hand moved to her face and gently caressed it.
"You said nothing was with tears in your eyes still falling, so I asked again but instead of replying you ran off ".
"That...that...was a long time ago " she muttered.
He nodded.
"Can you tell me what had happened?" he asked.
Snow gulped shaking her head.
"No, I can't... it's so long ago I don't remember " she lied.
He chuckled.
"What?".
"You not a good liar " he commented.
"So... that's my past and my personal life. You have no right to ask about it " she muttered.
He flinched back. Snow got out of bed and rushed off.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"To get some fresh air " she said closing the door.
He frowned wondering what he had said to make her angry now.
