Chapter 28
Incoming Danger
The mansion was very tall, with tottering walls and cracked lines, looking immensely eerie. Lukah parked his bike just outside the house’s front door at the patio, by the two grotty rocking chairs and an old swing.
“Shouldn’t we take the bike in? You know, just in case we need to contact them,” Aisha asked.
“That won’t be necessary. In case we run into any scraggy goats, we still have our weapons. Besides, there’s nothing to eat here, they won’t even have the strength to attack us. So worry not, doc,” Lukah said confidently.
He was right. For a man who could thrash ten men with a single Kazza in his hand, he simply wasn’t blowing his own trumpet. Handling a few malnourished goats would be piece of cake for a proficient fighter like Lukah.
The swing swung lightly by itself out of sudden when Lukah was about to push the door open. Aisha shrieked in horror, gripping tightly on Lukah’s arm.
