The Apology

"you guys can leave now, I'll settle the rest. Thanks so much for today." Ryan said to Davi and Xander in the patient room.

"Are you really sure about that?" Davi asked.

Ryan nodded and said, "I'll call you when he wakes up."

Davi wore a half smile, "Do you have my number?"

Ryan scratched the back of his head and said, "um miss Davi, you can as well leave your contact information."

Davi rolled her eyes, "you can drop the hypocrisy, I know that if you need everything about me, the food I eat, what time I go to bed, the clothes I wear, the people I meet. you'd surely get it. what's my contact information you can't get."

"Goodbye." she added then held Xander's hand and exited the patient room.

Ryan sighed and started making up what he'd tell Baby's manager and his mum in his head. ' before that, I should think about how I'd break the news to them. Mama Wang, Dana and I got into a fight and he's currently in the hospital.'

Ryan shook his head, 'i can't start explaining what caused the fight and whom we fought with.'

he sent a short message to them and rested his head on the wall and closed his eyes. ' this is surely the last time.'

Baby slowly opened his eyes, trying to adjust his eyes to the brightness of the room.

Mama Wangs eyes lightened up when she saw Baby opening his eyes. she then wore a soft and gentle smile and said, "you're finally awake."

Baby smiled and tried to sit up but his body ache so much. Mama Wang helped him and poured water for him.

Baby looked around the room, "huh? where's Ryan."

Mama Wang brought a straw close to his lips for him to drink water. "I told him to go home to rest."

Baby sipped the water and drank to his heart content. ' I wonder what excuse Ryan gave this time.'

Mama Wang stared silently and him and said, ' what exactly happened between you two?'

Baby cried internally, ' this isn't the time to ask me what happened ok? I don't know, I really don't know.' he shook his head repeatedly, "nothing, I don't know."

Mama Wang patted his head, "ok, rest more."

Baby nodded and closed his eyes.

Ryan entered the patient room with Davi, he stared at Baby who was sleeping soundly on the bed. ' I'll surely deal with you later.'

Mama Wang looked at the new person in the room then asked politely with a smile on her face, "I don't seem to have seen you before, can you please tell me who you are?"

Davi also smiled back and said "I'm Davi Jones, Dana's friend."

mama Wang raised her brows, "Dana has a new friend, that's good to hear."

Davi still plastered the sweet smile on her face and said, "yeah, we met recently at the place Ryan works."

Davi maintained her calm composure and shifted her focus to Mama Wang and his concerned friend.

Manager Kyle stared at Ryan waiting for an explanation because he's the only one that can provide one right now. sensing his desperation for an explanation, Davi gently intervened, her voice filled with reassurance.

"Dana's mother, and dear friend, I understand your concern and desire to know what happened. Ryan has been grappling with guilt and worry over the incident that happened last night. but he wanted me to convey his deepest apologies and assure you that it was an unfortunate accident."

Davi chose her words carefully, the delicate balance between offering comfort and honesty at the forefront of her mind. "According to Ryan, They had a little argument before the incident and he decided to leave for the time being. he never thought that Dana would actually step in front of his bike while it was in motion. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't react in time, resulting in the collision. It was a moment of frustration and loss of control. due to that, he let his emotions take over him and hit him which made him unconscious. But Ryan deeply regrets any harm caused to Dana."

She glanced at Ryan, her eyes filled with encouragement, silently reminding him that the truth is important, but so is compassion.

"Ryan wants to make it clear that his actions afterward were fueled by a surge of overwhelming emotions that he couldn't control. He is deeply remorseful for any additional pain he caused Dana and is determined to support him throughout his recovery."

Davi placed a hand on Ryan's shoulder, a gentle reminder of her presence and support. "Please understand that Ryan sought to protect you all from the full weight of what transpired, out of concern for everyone involved and I believe Ryan is genuinely remorseful for his actions."

Mama Wang and Manager Kyle exchanged glances, their expressions softening as they processed the information.

Manager Kyle then said to Ryan, "If I were you, it's either I beat him to death or I leave him unconscious. But since you know you wanted to keep him alive, you could have avoided his face, he's a model after all.'

mama Wang frowned a little, ' beat my son to death? isn't that too much?' After a brief moment of silence, Mama Wang spoke, her voice filled with a mix of concern and forgiveness.

"Thank you for sharing this with us, Davi," she said, her eyes gentle as she stared at Ryan. "We understand that accidents happen, moreover, Dana is also partly at fault. for now, let's focus on helping Dana heal."

Davi nodded and stood up, "I still have other places to attend to, I'll surely check on him later." Ryan also stood up to see her out.

Davi, "how was my acting, cool right?"

Ryan nodded and gave her a thumbs up. "I couldn't find a better excuse, thankfully you provided one."

Davi shrugged her shoulder, "who'd have thought that the Devil Boss is actually such a good boy with nice friends and a wonderful mother. Do you guys think they won't later find out about your other identity?"

Ryan kept quiet for a while and replied, "At least, not now."

Davi nodded and said, "alright, I have to get going."
