I kept asking Fuma about the topic but he kept saying I should just wait and see. I tried to compose myself for the meantime but when I started realizing we're heading to the port, I had to force him to spill the beans.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Home."

"Are you serious?"

"You're safer over there. Especially now that your identity has been demonized online by her accomplice."

I have no words. I can't believe everything escalated to this level. I'm just a nobody. Why does it have to end this way?

"I know what you're thinking."

Fuma broke into my thoughts and sighed deeply.

"It's not your fault okay? The company found out that staff was K hyung's most followed sasaeng. She was selling information about our flights and hotel rooms so having you in the way ruins her business."

"You mean the girl working at the HR? But she was there when I accepted the money before I left the company and I've been true to my word since then."

"Apparently K hyung recently confronted her about the lies she told him in the past about you and they argued in front of Bang pd."

My eyes widened in shock but the conversation was cut off when the driver suddenly honked before turning left to parallel park behind a black suv. Fuma immediately supported me while stepping out of the van and guided me to the other car.

I got confused at first but seeing K's smiling face dressed in long sleeved plain white shirt and blue jeans at the driver's seat washed away all my worries.

"Hi beautiful. Long time no see."

"K…"

"Did you miss me?"

"You have no idea…"

I said before I could process anything due to his perfume intoxicating my already disoriented brain.

"Get in before you two end up in a scandal."

I blushed hearing Fuma's teasing and small chuckle right after. K cleared up him throat and offered his hand to pull me into the passenger seat.

"Huh? Fuma's not coming?"

My curious eyes followed my best friend walking towards the car behind. I thought they're going to come with us inside the huge ferry but it seems like they're leaving.

"They still need to prepare for their comeback as eight-member group so there are a lot of things to fix and work on for easy transition."

"I see."

I slowly took a deep breath because I'm totally nervous on a lot of things.

Even if we had a relationship in the past we have never been this close to each other more than a few minutes.

And to think we're gonna be traveling alone for hours and him smelling like the devil seducing a human?

I'm dead.

"Wait, you're still a part of the group right? At least for a few weeks more."

"Yes but I specifically asked for a three-day emergency leave."

"Hmm? For what?"

"For our honeymoon of course."

I choked on my reply and coughed hard that I end up in tears while trying to clear my lungs. Things are escalating too quickly and I'm not used to this. It feels so unreal and I'm starting to think that this is only happening inside my head.

I turned my head away in hopes of hiding my hideous facial expressions, but it all got worse once his warm hand began caressing my back to soothe my burning chest.

"Don't be afraid, I'm not gonna bite."

I can already picture his grin at the back of my head so I refuse to look and confirm it.

"Werewolves do."

I managed to insert that phrase in between my coughing and it somehow made him chuckle.

"I mean it. I promise it won't hurt."

Every ounce of my blood rose up to my head and I felt dizzy at the way our conversation is going.

"Just kidding."

I quickly turned my head back and slapped his arm for teasing me when I just got out of the hospital. It probably felt like air on his well toned muscular arms but he still pretended he got hurt.

"I'm glad you're smiling again."

I paused a bit and looked at him straight in the eyes. He did the same and suddenly, the air around us became suffocating enough I had to look down.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you…"

"It's not your fault."

"At the most part it was."

"You can't stop anyone from falling for you. We just have different point of view."

"I was too careless. I should've brought you home that night. Things would've been different."

"I think she would still do the same regardless of the circumstances."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

I held his left cheek and stared at his starry eyes. He grab ahold of my knuckles and smiled bitterly.

"My condolences on your loss."

"Thank you…"

"Do you think we can still continue from where we left off?"

I sighed deeply.

"It depends on your mother."
