Chapter 60.1 (Ichigo)

From the moment I remember in my life I was always different from others as I was not even like my parents with my orange hair and honey brown eyes color. My parents have both different colors of eyes and hair from me, so with all the questions and not a single answer I become curious about my nature.

When I was four my parents told me that I would become a big brother so after my research I tried to find out where I and my siblings come from and after I got my answer, I waited for my sibling to be born so I could find out if they would be like me. But after waiting for a few months, I was very disappointed as my two-twin sister is not like me at all. They were small and very cute but they didn't look like me at all but when I was going to go when he felt something tugging at his index finger. It was my sister's little hand; in that moment I felt something in me click as I know that it does not matter if I have a different look or eye and hair color. What matters is that I protect what I have, loving parents and sisters. I vowed to myself to always protect them no matter the cost and when I look at my parents, I could see in their eyes that they have the same thought as me. I am like my namesake First Guardian (Ichi=First, go=Guardian) being my loved one's first line of protection.

When I was four after finding my goal in life, I asked my parents to teach me how to fight and self-defense. After my parents talked to each other to let me join a karate dojo, where I met and befriended Tatsuki Arisawa. Tatsuki was the only kid beside me that has a goal in life and is trying very hard to achieve her goal of becoming a vale tudo champion in karate.

Though Tatsuki beat me in every match we had, she would help me if I was being picked on by bullies and cheer me up if I was upset.

I was able to see Pluses for as long as I could remember. I could see them so clearly, as a child, but I could not tell the living from the dead. This resulted in me appearing to other people to be looking at deserted places and talking to myself. This caused people to say I could see ghosts, though when Tatsuki asked me about this, I denied being able to see them as I knew it would not be good.

When I was seven and went to school, I and Tatsuki were in the same class. A week after the start of school the kids started to bully me and another girl with orange hair like me so I would always defend her and Tatsuki also joined me in her defense. After telling mother about her she come to our school in Parents' Day and talk to my classmate and after finding out that she has only her big brother my mom talks to her brother and from then on, we bring her in our house and she became like my sister as she looks like me more than my own sisters, so she also become one of my loved one.

Few days before my tenth birthday, my mother and I were walking home alongside one of Karakura Town's rivers, which was swollen from heavy rain. Seeing an Orihime near the river, Ichigo thought she was about to jump into it as she was very depressed as it was the day, we found out her brother had a car accident. I wasn't able to tell the difference between ghosts and living people, so I ran towards her to stop her, unaware the Orihime look alike was the lure of the Hollow Grand Fisher. Mother tried to stop me, but I did not listen. After failing to grab hold of her, I lost consciousness for a time. When he awoke, Mother was having me in her embrace as my grandfather was standing in front of us and he asked me about my dojo. The story that father tells us about our grandfather was always out there and far-fetched as he talks about grandfather as he is a god and I know there is no such thing so I never give the story he tells me any importance.

But after that evening I know that he was the one that saved me and my mother. I was very angry at myself for putting mom in that dangerous situation. With that much anger and with no place to put it. I start to train as if my life depends on it, in some way it is as if my loved ones are my life and after experiencing the feeling of losing one of them, first Orihime then mom, I would die for them.

Later we entered Mashiba Junior High School. During this time, I finally defeated Tatsuki in a karate match after training I had and not had another match with her since. I would regularly get into fights with thugs, due to my unusual hair color. During one of these fights, I received help from Yasutora Sado (Chad). Shortly after, I returned that favor when I rescued Chad from two gang members when they roughing him up. When the thugs later abducted Chad, I found them and knocked down their leader, Yokochini. Using his phone to ring for an ambulance for each of the five thugs, I beat up all of them. After Chad was freed, we made a pact to protect and fight for each other as he would only fight to protect someone else.

Later we all began attending Karakura High School, and our reputations precede us. With me and Orihime hair color and all five of us could fight as we train from when we were kids, we have different personality with my brooding and "cool" image and Orihime independent, friendly, humorous, optimistic, sensitive, caring and kind and Chad with quiet personality and Tatsuki with bold, outgoing, and extroverted and Uryu with quiet and solitary personality, but tries harder to act cool when other people are around so no one approached us at first.

During a fight with a gang led by Reiichi Oshima, we met Keigo Asano and Mizuiro Kojima, saving them in the process. While Keigo was initially afraid of us like anyone else, both he and Mizuiro later became our friends.
