Once Accelerator left the lab, Sumire Muroto found herself alone with Yui, the young girl they had just enhanced. Yui's eyes sparkled with excitement and a newfound sense of power, but Sumire could see the questions and uncertainties lurking beneath her surface.
"Thank you for letting me stay," Yui said, her voice soft but filled with gratitude.
Sumire smiled warmly. "Of course, Yui. I think you'll be a great help here. And besides, I still need to understand how Accelerator managed to make such rapid progress."
Yui nodded, though her mind was still buzzing with thoughts of Accelerator. He was a figure of both awe and fear for her. His ability to help those in need while showing no mercy to his enemies made him an enigma. She couldn't help but admire him, even as she was wary of his darker side.
Sumire, noticing Yui's introspective silence, chuckled softly. "Thinking about Accelerator, aren't you?"
Yui looked up, a blush spreading across her cheeks. "How did you know?"
Sumire's smile turned sly. "It's written all over your face. If you want him to notice you, you'll have to work hard and prove yourself useful to him."
Yui's blush deepened, and she looked away, embarrassed. "I... I wasn't thinking about that..."
Sumire laughed, a light, teasing sound. "Oh, don't worry. It's only natural to be fascinated by someone like him. He's a remarkable individual, even if he is terrifying at times."
Yui's expression shifted to one of concern. "Do you think brother's gonna be okay? I mean, with everything he's doing to help us, he's bound to face backlash from people who don't understand."
Sumire's eyes gleamed with a mix of amusement and admiration. "It's not him you should be worried about, Yui. It's the whole district that should be worried about him."
Yui tilted her head, puzzled. "What do you mean?"
Sumire leaned back in her chair, her expression turning serious. "Despite your enhanced capabilities, Accelerator wasn't impressed. And there's a reason for that. He's operating on a level far beyond what most of us can comprehend."
Yui pondered Sumire's words, curiosity and determination growing within her. "Why is that? What makes him so different?"
Sumire's eyes narrowed slightly, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Because Accelerator can level the entire Tokyo District with a single slash. That's my conclusion."
Yui's eyes widened in amazement and disbelief. "Really? He's that powerful?"
Sumire nodded. "Yes. He's a force to be reckoned with. And that's why you need to work hard. To be of help to him, you need to become even stronger."
Yui's determination solidified into a fierce resolve. "I will. I'll become stronger and help him in any way I can."
Sumire smiled, her eyes softening with a hint of pride. "Good. That's the spirit. Now, let's get to work. We have a lot to do, and I need your help to make sure everything runs smoothly."
The two of them spent the next few hours organizing the lab and setting up for future experiments. Sumire was meticulous in her instructions, guiding Yui through the various tasks and ensuring she understood the importance of each step.
As they worked, Sumire's mind kept drifting back to Accelerator. His presence was a constant in her thoughts, a blend of fascination and apprehension. She couldn't deny the impact he had on her, both professionally and personally.
"Yui," Sumire said suddenly, breaking the silence. "You have a unique opportunity here. Learning from someone like Accelerator is a rare chance. Don't waste it."
Yui looked up from her task, her eyes shining with determination. "I won't. I promise."
Sumire nodded, satisfied with her response. "Good. Now, let's focus on the task at hand. We have a lot of work to do, and we need to be prepared for whatever comes next."
They continued working in companionable silence, the atmosphere filled with a sense of purpose and anticipation. Sumire was determined to uncover the secrets behind Accelerator's abilities, and she knew that having Yui as her assistant would be invaluable.
As the hours passed, Yui's confidence grew. She learned quickly, adapting to the rigorous demands of the lab and absorbing Sumire's knowledge like a sponge. Her admiration for Accelerator was a driving force, pushing her to excel and prove her worth.
Finally, as the day drew to a close, Sumire and Yui took a moment to reflect on their progress. The lab was in order, and they had made significant strides in preparing for future experiments.
"Well done, Yui," Sumire said, her voice filled with pride. "You've been a great help today."
Yui smiled, a sense of accomplishment washing over her. "Thank you, Sumire. I'm glad I could help."
Sumire's expression softened. "Remember, this is just the beginning. We have a long road ahead of us, but with hard work and determination, we can achieve great things."
Yui nodded, her resolve unwavering. "I won't let you down. I'll keep working hard."
As they closed up the lab for the night, Sumire's thoughts returned to Accelerator. He was out there, somewhere, fighting for a better future for the Cursed Children. And she knew that with his strength and their combined efforts, they could make a real difference.

Back at the Tendou Civil Security Agency, Rentaro, Kisara, and Enju sat in front of the TV, their expressions a mix of frustration and disbelief. The news broadcast had just ended, and all three of them turned to look at Accelerator, who was lounging in a chair, calmly sipping a can of coffee.
"What?" Accelerator asked, annoyed by their piercing gazes.
Kisara grabbed her hair, feeling like she was about to go crazy. "Do you have any idea what you've done? You were mentioned in the news! As the one helping the Cursed Children! They're labeling you as a monster!"
Rentaro tried to comfort Kisara, patting her on the back. "It's okay, Kisara. We'll figure something out."
Enju, sitting beside Accelerator, munched on snacks, seemingly unfazed by the situation.
Accelerator shrugged off the problem, taking another sip of his coffee. "So what? It's not a big deal. If they come after me, I'll destroy all of them."
Kisara's eyes widened in exasperation. "You're so unreasonable! This isn't something we can just shrug off. Public opinion is turning against you—and by extension, against us!"
Rentaro nodded, understanding Kisara's concern. "We need to think of a way to manage this situation. We can't have the whole district against us."
Accelerator's nonchalant attitude only made Kisara more frantic. "Do you not get it? You're making enemies out of everyone! This isn't just about you—it's about all of us!"
Accelerator raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "They were already our enemies the moment they decided to hurt those kids. I'm just making sure they know where we stand."
Kisara let out a frustrated sigh, feeling like she was banging her head against a wall. Rentaro continued to console her, but it was clear that Accelerator's blunt approach wasn't helping.
Enju, oblivious to the tension, looked up at Accelerator with bright eyes. "So, what's the plan? Are we going to do something awesome?"
Accelerator nodded, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Yeah. I'm planning to enhance your capabilities, Enju."
Rentaro and Kisara were both shocked, their eyes widening in surprise.
"Wait, what?" Kisara asked, feeling like she had misheard. "Did you just say you're going to enhance Enju's capabilities?"
Accelerator nodded, unbothered by their reactions. "You heard me right. I've already tested it on another kid, and it worked perfectly. She's currently helping Sumire in her lab."
Rentaro's initial shock began to give way to excitement. "You mean you've already done this before? And it's safe?"
Accelerator nodded again. "Yes. It's perfectly safe. The procedure enhances their abilities while removing any visible signs of the Gastrea virus. It makes them stronger and more accepted by society."
Enju's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That sounds amazing! I want to do it!"
Kisara, still processing the information, looked at Accelerator with a mixture of disbelief and concern. "Are you sure about this? This is Enju we're talking about. We can't take any risks."
Accelerator met her gaze with unwavering confidence. "I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't sure. This will help her. Trust me."
Rentaro, seeing the determination in Accelerator's eyes, placed a reassuring hand on Kisara's shoulder. "He's right, Kisara. If it's safe and it will help Enju, then we should do it."
Kisara took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. "Alright. If both of you believe in this, then I'll trust your judgment."
Accelerator nodded, standing up and setting his coffee aside. "Good. Let's get started."
He moved to a nearby table and began preparing the injection, his movements precise and efficient. Enju watched with wide eyes, her excitement barely contained.
Kisara and Rentaro exchanged a glance, both feeling a mix of anxiety and hope. This was a big step, but if it worked, it could change everything for Enju.
As Accelerator finished preparing the injection, he turned to face them. "This will only take a moment. Stay calm, and everything will be fine."
Enju nodded eagerly. "I'm ready!"
Kisara took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Alright. Let's do this."
Rentaro gave Enju a reassuring smile. "You're going to be amazing, Enju."
Accelerator approached Enju with the injection in hand, his expression serious. "Hold still, and it'll be over before you know it."
Enju stood still, her eyes filled with determination. "I'm ready, Accelerator."
As Accelerator prepared to administer the injection, the room fell silent, everyone holding their breath in anticipation. The tension was palpable, but so was the sense of hope. This was a pivotal moment, and they all knew it.
With a steady hand, Accelerator injected the serum into Enju's arm, his movements careful and controlled. Enju winced slightly, but otherwise remained still, her trust in Accelerator unwavering.
As Accelerator administered the injection to Enju, the room fell into a tense silence. Rentaro and Kisara watched with bated breath, their eyes locked onto the small girl. The serum entered her system, and almost immediately, her body began to react. Enju's muscles tensed, and she started to spasm, causing Rentaro and Kisara to exchange worried glances.
Rentaro moved forward, his concern evident. "Enju—"
Accelerator raised a hand, his expression calm and collected. "Stop"
Despite their anxiety, Rentaro and Kisara trusted Accelerator enough to hold back and watch. Enju's spasms gradually subsided, and she opened her eyes. The red hue that once marked her as a Cursed Child was gone, replaced by a more natural color. She blinked a few times, looking around as if seeing the world anew.
"I feel... different," Enju said, her voice filled with wonder. She stood up and began to stretch, testing her newfound strength and flexibility. With a grin, she started jumping around the room like a rabbit, her movements fluid and precise. She even stepped on the walls, running along them without causing any damage.
"Look at me, Rentaro!" Enju called out, her excitement palpable. "I'm so much stronger now!"
Rentaro smiled, relief washing over him. "You're amazing, Enju!"
Enju's mind raced with the possibilities of her enhanced abilities. She thought of a playful test and suddenly aimed a kick at Rentaro, who was caught completely off guard. The force of her kick sent him crashing through the wall, landing unconscious in the street outside.
"Rentaro!" Enju screamed, rushing to his side with worry etched on her face.
Kisara, meanwhile, was shouting about the newly broken wall. "My wall! Do you have any idea how much that's going to cost to repair?"
Accelerator watched the scene unfold with a deadpan expression, wondering how he had ended up surrounded by such entertaining fools. He shook his head in exasperation. "Why don't you just change your office location if it's such a problem?"
Kisara was about to retort that they didn't have the funds for such a move when a grin spread across her face. She turned to Accelerator with a gleam in her eye. "Would you be willing to sponsor the project? I mean, you've been raiding corrupt officials every night. You must have a small fortune by now."
Accelerator's expression didn't change, but inside, he acknowledged the truth of her statement. He had indeed accumulated a substantial amount of money from his nightly raids. The funds were piling up, more than he could use for the immediate needs of the Cursed Children.
With a sigh, he shrugged. "Fine. It's better than letting the money sit around doing nothing."
Kisara's grin widened. "Excellent! We'll find a new office, one that's more secure and out of the public eye. This place has been compromised anyway."
As Rentaro regained consciousness, Enju fussed over him, apologizing profusely. "I'm so sorry, Rentaro! I didn't mean to kick you that hard!"
Rentaro, rubbing his head, managed a weak smile. "It's okay, Enju. Just... maybe be a little more careful next time."
Accelerator watched them, feeling a rare sense of amusement at their antics. Despite the chaos, there was a sense of camaraderie and mutual support among them. It was something he had never really experienced in Academy City.
The next few days were spent searching for a new office location. Kisara, with the help of Rentaro and Enju, scouted various places until they found a suitable building. It was discreetly located, offering both privacy and security. With Accelerator's funds, they were able to purchase and start setting up the new office without much delay.
During the move, Kisara couldn't help but feel a sense of renewal. "This is going to be great for us," she said, looking at the new space with satisfaction. "We'll have a fresh start, away from the prying eyes of the public."
Rentaro nodded in agreement. "And with Accelerator's enhancements, we'll be even more effective in our missions."
Enju, bouncing with excitement, added, "I can't wait to show everyone my new abilities!"
Accelerator, overseeing the setup, felt a rare sense of contentment. He had given these people the means to improve their lives and their work. In return, they had given him a sense of purpose and a reason to keep pushing forward.
As the new office took shape, the team worked together, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Accelerator's decision to enhance Enju had proven to be a turning point, not just for her, but for all of them. They were more united than ever, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
