Naelle and Milas

Immediately after that the scream filled the room, Naelle ran to a small concrete piece located behind them. It had no door, and the entrance was just a sort of gray arch leading to the rest of the room they already were.

Thinking about it, Asaki didn't even took the time to really look at his surrounding.

Not that he wanted to for the moment, since this scream was...

'Celia...'

Coughing a few more times, the young man miserably tried to crawl to the second part of the room, from where another dreadful scream came out.

The next second, Celia's voice elevated once again, this time yelling something.

"WHO ARE YOU ???!!"

During multiple others second, the man kept crawling, too confused about everything that was happening to think clearly.

Was she in danger ? Afraid ? Was it really Celia ? How was her state ??

"C..."

His voice seemed too weak to reach the girl's from Asaki's actual position, and each letter only hurted his throat even more...

"CELIA !! I'M HERE !!"

The next second, he coughed a few more drops of blood, as from the room... Arose a quiet and confused voice.

"Asaki ? You... You're alive ?"

Asaki coughed a few more times, before that his body finally reached the concrete entrance. And as his head passed by the massive arch, his eyes met the two suns, after so many days.

Celia was laying on a white mattress, also covered in bandage, and her skin as pale as snow. Her hair were now untied, and one would've surely confounded her with some kind of corpse.

But... The spark of life shining inside of her eyes... It was still there, more powerful than anything.

"Y-Yeah..."

Finally, answered the young man, as he felt his strength fading once again. He felt so weak... And... His body looked so strange... What were those... Crystals ? And this burning heart, pulsing inside of his torso ?

And within a second, the young man fell unconscious again, the last image encrusted inside of his mind, being the scared face of Celia, Naelle, and...

A sort of male-version of the blondie...

°°°

For once, Asaki didn't have to return to the strange and dark solid sea, where he got literally transpierced by his roommate.

Instead, a few minutes later, when he reopened his eyes... Asaki found himself laying against a wall, surrounded by the man, Celia, and Naelle.

Quickly, all three gasped of relief, as without even warning Asaki, Celia hugged him.

"Oh gods... You're also alive... You were seriously injured when..."

'Speak for yourself...'

After that Celia finally released him, Asaki noticed the Naelle's male version slowly kneeling in front of him, stretching out his hand to shake his.

"Hey, my name's Milas, you're fine ?"

Weakly, Asaki shook his hand as he slightly nodded, it wasn't that hard to guess that their two savior were twins.

Milas was slightly taller than Asaki, he had messy blonde hair looking exactly like that of her sister and his two eyes... Also looked like crimson moons. And it killed Asaki to say this but...

For a man, he was goddamn handsome. If girls at his campus didn't fought for him, then, all hope for Asaki could disappear.

Yet, behind those two moons, hid a strange emotion that the young man couldn't fully read. Was it... Lie, guilt, or... Even fear ?

"Hmm... So, Asaki ? I presume ?"

Naelle was the one whom asked this, as she sat in front of him next to his brother, while Celia sat at Asaki's left.

"That's right."

Milas then, also elevated his voice, now looking with another strange emotion to Celia.

"Guess you wanna eat something first ? It's been three days after all."

And within the next minutes, both of Asaki and Celia weakly ate the warm food the twins had given to them, as they started to chat.

"So... We're actually inside of a house's cellar, and for the moment... Hidden from any creatures. As you could've seen, you both had serious injuries, although you... Strangely healed."

Indeed, Asaki's wound had fully healed, or were now covered by the same transparent crystals than earlier. As for Celia...

Her wounds had become as sharp as iron, and so, as hard... It like, solidified, before trying to close all by itself.

And what's more... She, who suffered from a fatal wound, a literal hole crossing a part of her body, had already almost fully healed.

Even with the best heals in the world, it would've taken around weeks, if not months, to recover as far as she did.

Compared to such an exploit, Asaki's wounds, which were far less fatal and dangerous than her, and hadn't even finished healing, looked like a common thing.

"Could you tell us what happened to you ?"

Then asked Naelle, with a bit of worry and confusion in her voice. Milas, also seemed truly interested in what both could say, as his eyes were all wide now.

"For sure... But it happened really fast."

And so, Celia started to tell them the whole story. How they met, how then the radio had said that they needed to reach Asagiri, and how... Flesh stood in the middle of the road, before chasing them, and almost killing her.

As she continued to say what happened, Asaki could see how the twins looked like charmed by her voice and manners. It felt as if she had just hypnotized them, her eloquence and charisma akin to that of royalty, although she was actually telling how they miserably almost lost their lives.

"You... You survived to Flesh ??"

Milas, who wasn't really that talkative compared to his sister, had suddenly jumped in place, staring at Celia with shock.

"Survived... I really don't know how we managed to survive haha... How could these wounds become so... Strange ? And heal so awkwardly ? Without this, we would've died in no moment."

Still, Milas kept asking with surprise and fear something else, totally ignoring the actual confusion of Celia.

"No... You... You managed to survive to Flesh, the giant guarding Asagiri's road ??"

And facing the two confused expression of Asaki and Celia, Naelle slowly added with a shy voice.

"What he meant is that... We saw it kill dozens of creatures and humans approaching the road. And each time... Nobody ever lasted more than a minute."
