Chapter 31: Lucy's Power
“What? Me?” Lucy exclaimed a bit too loudly. She half stood up from her seat on the bed but Celeste pulled her down and placed a cold hand over Lucy’s mouth.
“Yes, you. You and your gift are a marvel. I imagine the council will be very interested in you,” Celeste answered. Lucy scrunched her nose and narrowed her eyes.
“Yeah, Noah said something like that. When you say ‘interested’ you mean like some kind of lab rat they can do tests on?” Lucy asked. Celeste chuckled.
