Chapter 10: Secrets Shared

Lucy lay in bed feeling better than she had since her transformation. Now the thoughts of biting, the pain, and even her attack didn’t seem as threatening or overpowering. The fear of being alone, dying alone, and suffering the pain was what she had been afraid of. But Celeste helped remind her she hadn’t died, and she was no longer alone. No pain like that could ever touch her again. Aww Celeste and her touch. Part of Lucy still felt as if she had imagined their beautiful kiss together, but the burning on her lips helped remind her it was real.
