Panic As Ken Coughs Out Blood (Chapter 9)

*Note that in Chapter 9; Zen’s personal driver is absent because of last night, Vampire Night Party; as a result, Zen has to personally drive Ken and Nic to school. Zen told his driver to resume work at 6 pm.

The next day (Wednesday), the alarm rings as usual.

Ken goes to Nic's room, and says, “Please wake up brother; you still need to go to school today. Don't sleep more, you will be late.”

Nic listens to Ken, he says, “Zen will pick me up at 5:45 pm, Are you going to wake up now? I will ask him to send you school for today only. We will eat together before going to school. Since your school is near to mine.”

Nic replies, “I am waking up now. Thanks Bro!”

With that, Ken left Nic’s room.

Ken quickly took a bath and changes his clothes to get ready.

Zen arrives before 5:45 am.

Ken hears the doorbell; it's only 5:30 am. Ken quickly rushes to the door.

Zen is smiling at Ken at the gate.

Ken opens the door. Ken says, “Good Morning! You are here early; it's before 5:45 am. Please wait, I tell Nic to get ready soon.

Zen says, “Okay.”

Ken rushes to Nic's room.

“Hey, Nic please hurry, Zen is just outside the house, waiting for you, please be fast!”

Nic comes out of the room and close the door and says, “I am ready. Let’s go now.”

Ken picks up his bag, locks the door, and walks out to Zen's car.

Suddenly, Ken's handphone rings; Ken quickly close the car door.

Before Zen drive, he asks, “Who called you so early in the morning?”

Ken looks at the phone, “it’s Tom.”

Ken picked up his call, “Good morning Tom!”

Tom asks, “Ken is Zen there at your house now? If yes then I won't need to pick you up from school?”

Ken replies, “Yes, I am in his car now. Thanks, Bro!”

Tom says, “Today, we have a school event, thus we will be late since Zen is picking you up later, you can inform him of this.”

“Oh yeah, I forgot about this, thanks for reminding me. I will tell Zen about this, see you later in school.” Ken put down the phone.

Zen hears everything that Ken had said to Tom and says, “Okay, I understand, you have a school event later after your event, let me know, I will pick you up.” Zen drives off after saying this.

While driving, Zen says, “We will stop at the nearest Café, let us eat toast and coffee since it's early in the morning.”

Ken says, “Okay.”

Nic happens to be sleeping; he didn't reply.

After 20 minutes, they arrive at the Café.

Zen wakes up Ken & Nic as they sleep for 20 minutes in the car.

Ken and Nic open their eyes and see the Café. They walk out of the car.

Zen quickly looks at the menu, asks Ken and Nic what they wants to eat.

Ken points Set A. Nic points Set D.

Zen quickly ordered the food and paid. After 5 minutes the food arrives. They quickly eat and left the Café.

Zen sent Nic first to school (Nic said thanks to Zen and Ken before he left the car.)

Ken before he leaves the car, Zen tells Ken to remember to SMS him after you finish the school event.

Ken replied, “Yes, I will.”

Tom didn't see Ken at the school gate as he came later due to a traffic jam. Tom sighs...

Ken says “thanks for helping him last night and sorry for causing you to come late today, later I will take you for lunch before the school event starts.”

<Let's fast forward> at 1 pm, Ken and Tom go to the Canteen.

Tom says, “I want to have curry rice and chicken wings with Coke.”

Ken says, “Okay, I will buy it for you please take a seat.” Ken after purchasing his and Tom's food, quickly finds Tom where he sits. Ken rushes to Tom. Because of the long queue, they left with only 15 minutes to eat and drink.

Ken and Tom rush like the wind to battle with the food. Ken coughs... Coughs...

Tom quickly pats Ken's back. As Tom pats Ken's back, Ken coughs and blood comes out...

(Event will start at 2 pm.) Tom looks at Ken coughing blood; he shocks and quickly takes out his handkerchief and gives it to Ken.

Ken’s coughing blood; it's the first time Tom sees this.

Tom thinks maybe the chicken wings bone-choked in Ken's throat. Tom panics; he quickly waves at the nearest teacher.

The teacher was alerted by Tom's swift wave.

The teacher happens to be the school’s medical doctor. He quickly wears a pair of gloves and attends the Ken.

Ken wasn't moving as he fainted.

The medical doctor says, “We have to send him immediately to the hospital or else he will be in danger.” He also forbids Tom to touch the blood handkerchief as it may contain a virus or something else.

Tom quickly calls Zen to inform him that Ken needs to be sent to the hospital immediately as he is unconscious now after coughing out blood.
