Bloodstains are in my hands. It symbolizes courage and bravery that for the very first time, I've killed a werewolf with my bare hands and harmful bite.
I can still taste its slimy, bland and flavourless blood.
"Phew! Such a horrible taste that I could have tasted!"
I try to spit out everything but it doesn't work at all. My tongue and my throat love it, while I wanted to don't and throw away everything in me.
However, I need to see Emilia! I need to know that she's fine and unharmed!
"Emilia?"
I call her name but no one answered me. "Emilia!"
Turning around, looking for someone who's gone, and hoping to beat the werewolves are the things that keep in mind.
Everything happens in slow motion as the cold breeze howls that give shivers down to my spine.
The wind hauls away the dried leaves and it slowly falling into the ground.
"Wh... What's going on? Why do I feel weak and my knees are shaking!" My lips trembled upon seeing a werewolf from afar.
It is far from my expectation and knowledge. "I thought it was the biggest and horrifying beast that I've ever seen!"
Referring to the defeated enemy. I look my back and try to see what behind of me.
But, the werewolf suddenly catches my attention when I step onto the dried leaf.
"Damn!" I exclaimed as I ended up getting cornered by an enemy.
"I need to think about a better plan!"
Abruptly, the werewolf stands before me. Its claws are too sharp that will kill anybody.
Its eyes are emerald and its fur is beyond beautiful and thick.
I... I take a long and deep breath while stepping backwards. "Leave me alone, beast or you will be killed."
Giving it a warning is nonsense. It snarls and growls before me which makes my hair to fly and dances like a ballerina performing in a centre stage.
Thus, I stand still and with opened eyes.
No one shall drag me down again. Even a huge and astounding beast is not an exemption.
With my eyes open, the werewolf stops. Its eyes tell everything.
Amusement.
A thing reflects its eyes.
"I give you warning but you persist to retreat and lurk again! Now, it is my time to shine!"
Quick and immediate, I scream on the top of my lungs. I want the werewolves to learn something about me, and us!
My claws abruptly visible and I feel something sharp inside of my mouth.
Little did I know, anger and hatred urge me to show my true colour.
"I am Thalia Hackansen, a vampire who will put an end to this war!"
Without giving a warning, I run towards the enemy and scratch its back repeatedly.
I want to leave a mark and a beautiful scar that they will never forget.
"Grrrrowl!"
Growling means calling for help. No! I need to stop it from growling before its allies find and catch me up.
"Calling for someone to help, huh!"
Jumping high to reach its back but it seems wise and smart.
"Tell your leader that he will never defeat and kill me!"
A man's deep and bitter voice sounded off. It is not familiar, but I'm feeling nervous and scared of him.
For a second, I forget that I'm standing in the middle of a battle.
I am thinking about who and when did I hear the man's voice. My body knows it but my mind is unaware and clueless.
Unfortunately, the werewolf takes the moment for granted. It leaps and jumps onto me until I caught off guard.
Both of us fall into the ground. Rolling down near to the high cliff, but a huge log hinders and impeded us.
"Huh! Huh!"
I breathe heavily as I thought I will be dead. My chest is bleeding and my leg hurts so bad.
"Ah... Ahhhh! My leg!"
Slowly, I push the heavy log in my feet. Luckily, I successfully free myself from it.
However, the werewolf is gone! I can't see it around nor can hear it growling and breathing so loud.
"Perhaps, it has fallen down the cliff."
"Thalia!"
For countless times, someone calls my name in the middle of the woods.
I can't believe that I am standing at the highest and tallest area of the forest.
One wrong move and I'll be dead.
"You will pay for what you've done to me!" Every word that I've said will come true.
I won't stop until I've found the brave werewolf who killed my brother.
"Take me back to the battlefield!"
As I close my eyes, someone grabs my arm without my approval.
He stoops and whispers into my ears, "Close your eyes, Thalia. I'll be bringing you back to the hall."
"Why are you helping me, Mister?"
"Let just say, someone, sent me to watch over you. And knowing what the werewolf did, I immediately came here to protect and save you."
Despite the doubt and qualm, I trust the man who saves me.
Until I feel again the solid and frigid ground. "I'm back! Ho... How did you do that–"
I thought I can see his face after bringing me back to the hall. But, he's gone and I am tired of asking myself why.
"I need to look for their leader! Beating him will stop his allies from attacking all the vampires."
Walking in the middle of the hall fiercely and boldly is the greatest thing that I will do.
My past life was beyond my knowledge and I will never let it dictate myself again.
"Watch out! Werewolves are still coming and they will never stop until Lord Voltaire is gone!"
One of the vampires warns me. Her eyes are embroidered with fear and qualm until I realize that she's the mother of the young lass.
"You need to escape and hide! Hurry up and follow me."
I immediately turn my back and starts walking away from the bloody hall.
"Forgive me, Thalia. But I need to protect my daughter than my life."
Instead of accepting my help, she chooses to reject it which makes me unhappy and unfortunate.
The little lass glances at me and I see the sadness in her eyes.
I wanted to salvage their life until a man appeared before me.
He's bleeding and wounded. His face is covered by the blood and... and he looks dying.
The man reaches for my hand and said, "I don't someone's help, but I'm asking for you to save my life, Thalia."
"Wh– what... and why do you know my name?"
I ask him but an enemy appears from nowhere.
