Vampire Diaries 24: In My Arms

I spit out of blood when she bites my arm with no mercy. She hit my face, lips and my jaw until I taste my reddish and bland blood.

"Pweh! You're such a weak vampire, Thalia!"

"Come on! Stand from the ground and fight with your twin sister!"

Thea laughs on me horribly. She thinks that I am a loser like her.

However, as I try to stand but my knees betray me.

Trembling and shivering like a coward warrior. But, I don't want to be defeated again. "Ever since, I know that you don't want to see me every single day. But, who are you to change your fate? To change the ugly truth that we are connected!"

In the end, I strive to stand and face the woman who hates me.

She is smiling widely and said, "I can change my fate, Thalia! And the only thing that remakes it is to kill you in front of all the vampires here!"

"You are confident, Thea. Underestimating and judging my abilities will never make you stronger and greater! But, it only shows his desperate you are to be the king's wife!"

I tell her everything that I want to. I want Thea to realize that power and title are no use when the time comes that she's not worthy anymore.

She must realize that power is only temporary.

Thea snarls which show her sharp and pointed fangs. She looks pale and angry until she walks towards me.

"Stop with your nonsense and drama! There's no field for tears and groans."

"Come closer to me, Thea. Attack me!"

Provoking Thea is one of the best ways to distract her. She clenches her jaw as she prepares her long and harmful paws.

Heavy breaths and horrible gaze. Thea attacks me by scratching her paws.

However, I know her techniques and strategies in the fighting.

Crowds yelled and cheered when I kick her stomach. It makes her stumble and fall into the ground, shocked and surprised.

I know she can still fight.

I feel that she have enough strength to overthrow anybody else but she's not manipulating it correctly.

Thea is a slave of her emotions.

She is barely irritated with a simple and rude action that is not good for a great vampire.

"Ha ha haha! Do you think you can beat me with a simple attack?"

"I did not! But you are the one who said it, not me. Am I right?"

I open my arms and a few of the crowds nods.

Abruptly, a loud and scaring howl echoes around the place.

Too late to realize, Thea transforms into a real beast.

A vampire with reddish eyes. It is one of the greatest breeds of all times. She can devour anything she can see, and no one will survive.

Thea abruptly runs towards me.

I thought she will going to attack me from behind but she continues running around me.

"Thea? What... What are you doing?"

I don't know but I suddenly feel dizzy and sleepy. I can't concentrate anymore as she runs fastest like the wind.

"Sooner or later, you will fall into a trap that I made! A trap where you can't escape until you die, Thalia!"

"Huh!"

"Huh!"

Sweats flow down to my cheeks. I... I want to control the fear within me, but Thea continues to run.

I take a long sigh when I can't hold myself anymore. Slowly, I fall into the floor while touching my forehead.

My head hurts so bad which makes me defenceless and unprotected.

Until I lay down into the cold and wide surface, conscious yet, powerless.

The crowd stops from applauding and calling out names. They seem unfortunate seeing me like this– dying and beating by Thea.

"Stand now, Thalia!"

"Stand now, and fight against her!"

One of the vampires watching us said. Encouraging me to open my eyes and standstill.

"Thalia!"

"Thalia!"

"Your supporters are cheering for you. They want you to win against me but I will kill them one by one before you. Watch it, Thalia! Watch it!"

I crawl like a worthless worm. Trying to quell my sister, but she's determined to be known as the greatest female vampires amongst all.

I stretch out my hand, reaching and pulling her cloak but she hit my hand and kicks my back. "No! Don't do it, Thea! Do not kill any one of them!"

Shouting and begging for her mercy is not the best thing. But, I must stand and impede her now.

"Ahhh, help me!"

"No! Let me go! Let me go!"

I listen to their voices while trying to find my strength. No! I need to stand and save them as I failed to protect and redeem my people.

Thea put her long claws on a female vampire's neck while grinning at me.

She said, "Watch her, Thalia! What if I prick her neck and suck her blood? Or, what if I will pluck her heart and devour it."

I don't know what to say but I am eager to save her life.

"Answer me, Thalia!"

"Answer me!"

Striving to live despite all the wounds and scratch in my body. I said, "Leave her alone, Thea! She's not your real enemy!"

"That's what I want! A strong and decisive vampire!"

"Let's end this! I need to see our mother!"

I tell her, hoping that she will stop fighting with me. However, she spread her arms and fly like a butterfly.

She clamours, "Farewell, my beloved sister."

Realizations hit me when I feel something wet in my neck.

Slowly, as I touch her arms. I notice that there's blood on it.

"The– Thea!"

I utter her name shortly. "Lord Voltaire will be grateful that I have killed the King's, beloved woman."

Thea abruptly pricks her claws into my chest. It is too deep and unbearable.

Blood spatters from the wound. Gaping and looking at her without seeing mercy in her eyes.

"Goodbye, Thalia."

Before she bites my neck, she kisses my cheek shortly.

"I am inevitable, Thea!"

As I shout it, a loud, disturbing noise sounded off.

"Werewolves!"

"We are under attack by the werewolves!"

The crowd begins to hide and save themselves. "Damn these werewolves!"

Thea cursed out and vanish like a flash.

She left me in the middle of the field, dying and hopeless.

"Come with me, Thalia. You are safe in my arms."
