She Heard Everything

As she concentrated her gaze on Seth, she acted as if she didn't see her husband who seized this distraction to get away.

[You can run as fast as you want Darling but I promise you that you can never run far away from me because I will always be wherever you are]

Her red lips curved into a deadly smirk as she looked at the man in blue blazers who had just stopped in front of her.

"Anna...," He called in his sweetest voice as he always fondly addressed her. "Will you believe it if I told you that I almost didn't recognise you anymore," He confessed.

He assessed the beautiful lady in a red jacket from head to toe as if she were some rare artefacts that were mistakenly delivered to his doorstep.

[Only a fool would expect a person who has undergone a complete makeover to still look the same, don't you know that?]

Giavanna almost shoved her five fingers into the man's eyes the moment she saw him lick his lips lecherously with his eyes still glued on her body.

"Giavanna, control yourself or else you will end up in jail on your first day of return because of this fool," Giavanna grimaced, her hand balled into fists.

"What did you say?" He demanded beaming.

"I said I would have loved to talk to you more but I need to catch up with my husband... you wouldn't want him to abandon me alone here right?" She faked a smile despite that her hands felt like strangling the stupid man until there was no air left in his body.

"I can always drop...,"

"I will take my leave now. Talk to you some other time," She said and dashed out of there before he had the chance to provoke her some more.

At the enormous entrance, Giavanna paused. She swerved and glanced at where Seth stood. 

She wasn't the slightest bit amazed to see the young married man ogled at her like a hawk lusting after his prey.

"Though he was never a part of my plans, I must confess that I have come up with a plan perfect just for him... I am sure my hubby will love what I prepared for his brother a lot hehe...," Giavanna laughed hysterically as she turned and made her way out of the bubbling hall.

At the hotel's parking lounge, Xander heaved a sigh of relief after he found the lady he searched for waiting for him right inside their car.

"Thank goodness, you are here," He exclaimed, relieved written all over his face as he hopped into the car.

"Eve about what happened...," 

"Don't touch me," She hollered, beat his hand away and hastened out of the front seat of the car she sat in.

"Eve, wait up," Xander ordered. He climbed out of the car and raced after the furious lady. He didn't even wait to lock his car.

He finally caught up to her when they were about ten steps away from where they parked their car 

"Stop for a moment...," He held her hand but only for the furious lady to flung his hand away without hesitation.

"I said let go," She shot him a fierce glare and turned to leave.

"Will you wait and hear me out," Xander shouted, not able to handle this treatment from her anymore.

"And haven't I heard you enough this past year huh?" She yelled, veins popping up on her forehead due to the energy she used.

"You told me to wait and I waited for you for so many years, didn't I?" she berated and stabbed a finger at his chest.

"Xander, you promised to marry me after you found out that your wife was dead, and I listened to you, did I not?" She raised her voice not caring that over a hundred cars were parked at this parking lounge.

In fact, she was too furious to see the reasons.

"And when I asked you yesterday to cross-check whether that bitch was still alive, what did you tell me huh?" She demanded. She hits his chest harder with her clenched fist.

"You told me, they were all rumours," She mimicked not only his voice but his expression when he said those words to her.

"She no longer exists in this world so you can feel at ease?" She added.

"Those were your exact words, now what has happened huh?" She roared and ran her finger through her straight brown hair.

"Not only did that fool return alive but she returned with complete limps, eyes and face. Yes, there was not even a tiny scratch on her body...,"

"And do you think I am happy to see her looking so healthy huh?" Xander snapped.

Meanwhile, as these two lovers vent their anger on each other they weren't aware that the lady who was their subject of discussion was listening to their conversation even from a distance away.

"Eve, believe me...," He muttered, his hands clutching her shoulders.

"When I saw her on that stage the first thing on my mind was to stab a dagger through her heart," He confessed without hesitation; the very thing Giavanna always longed for anytime he talked bad about her.
