Chapter 6

Annah then found herself descending down the stairs with the blue-colored flask in her right hand. She suddenly felt elated since her boyfriend, who was in the fourth year of his studies kept a tab on her and just know what to relieve her headache. She even noticed that the bandage around her fist was replaced with new ones.

Now unto the last flight of the stairs, she jumped rather cheerfully and hopped towards the infirmary.

When she got in there, she saw the room full of the students from the Manipulation subject. She looked around and saw Maine in the bed at the right corner. She then went towards it but then was stopped with an annoying voice.

"Feeling better, Park?" Asked Ricco who was sitting on an edge of the bed of Gideon. Beside him were Basik and Sebastian.

"Oh shut up, Kwon." She shot back.

"Aren't you gonna thank me for what I did?" He raised his brows to her with expectant eyes.

"FYI, Kwon. I also did by bidding in the class of Manipulation. Besides, it's my blood. So you should be the one to sprout your gratitude on me."

"You passed out, nitwit."

"I don't care and I'm okay now thanks to my thoughtful boyfriend who gave me the drink." Annah gloated.

"Boyfriend?"

"Jason, you idiot. I happen to have one." Annah turned away from his scowling face.

When she got near to Maine, Ricco's insult reached her ears.

"Park, you nincompoop!" Ricco snarled in a vexed manner.

"Don't ruin my night you git!" Annah shot back quite teed off.

The nurses and the doctors in there just shook their heads when the two students started to throw insults at each other until both of them were forced out of the infirmary.

"This your fault, Park." Ricco maundered.

"I haven't had the chance to say hello to Maine, you dufus."

"Because your featherbrain is busy screaming foolish words."

"Oh yeah? I was happy before I saw you. Now, looking at you suck all of my happiness dry. I'm parched!"

"Give me that flask, you big nincompoop." Ricco nabbed the flask from her grip while she looked at him in shock.

"It's not yours, you big cuckoo. Give it back!"

"And to whom did you think owned this royal blue flask, Park?" he asked dangerously.

"It's Jason's, stupid!"

The other students in the hallway just shook their heads in resignation, quite used to seeing the Kwon-Park skirmishing.

Both Annah and Ricco were on each other's faces, screaming bloody insults and murders with each other, not noticing a group of prefects were coming their way.

"Annah?" Jason called out which then halted the little clash of words between the two enemies.

"Jason." Annah's voice suddenly felt dry seeing him eyeing her seriously along with the other prefects of hybrids and purebloods.

"Master Kwon." The pureblood prefects gave respect to Ricco in bowed heads before they looked coldly in Annah's direction.

"What are you doing?" Jason asked.

"I...Uhm...went to see Maine after what happened in Toc's class." Annah then said in a small voice.

"Toc's class? Why what happened to his class?" Jason asked in pure bewilderment on his face.

"You know...explosions after failed spells and I passed out," Annah explained.

"You passed out? Are you alright?" Jason asked worriedly.

Annah blinked in bafflement at his direction, quite taken aback that it wasn't her boyfriend who brought her the drink to her room. "Where were you all day, by the way?" She asked in assessment.

"We just got back from the meeting with the directors from the left-wing of the building. It took us the whole day in there." Jason answered truthfully.

So that means...

Annah looked in Ricco's direction with disbelief on her face.

"Let's go to your room and have some ample rest, okay? I'll ask Mrs. Ponpei for some tonic to invigorate you." Jason said pushing her out from there to her back.

Annah just nodded and threw another look to Ricco who walked opposite their direction, holding the royal blue flask with his left hand.

"Hey, it's been silent for the last two weeks, isn't it?" Maine voice out one.

"Huh? Whacha mean?" Annah sipped on her cola and grabbed a bite to her double burger.

"Is there a truce between you and Ricco?" Maine raised her brows and sipped from her cold tea.

The food section was buzzing with students both Hybrids and Purebloods, getting their food on the counter and chatting their time away until next period.

"It's a stay clear from Kwon operation, Maine."

"Hmm. School's getting boring and class is supermundane without both of your throwing shits with each other." Maine commented and fork his delight from her plate.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We've been your clowns for the last two years. I ain't doing the same in my third year. Nah ah." Annah said and looked at the green veggies protruding her burger along with the cheese and beef patty. She contemplated it for the moment. "You know, I was actually thankful to be a hybrid."

"Hmm? Why is that?" Maine raised her brows since she knew most of the hybrids, including her, would really want to be a pureblooded vampire and be actually part of the vampire race.

"Because hybrids can stomach human foods. We are delighted with it." Annah pointed out.

"We're forced to eat human food because one of our parents is human. But honestly, sometimes, I hope that dad didn't marry my human mom."

"That's a horrible wish."Annah scowled.

"No. I love my mom...just her blood. Her origin. A human. Lowest of all lowest species."

"I beg to defer." Annah was very ready to say all the points of her arguments but immediately stopped herself when she saw Ricco getting inside the section along with Gideon and Basik. Luna had been one happy addition to his group of his followers since the start of his first year.

Maine raised her brows when her friend chose to bow down her head to her cola instead of giving her long litany of how wonderful to have human parents and to not drink blood or concoct blood chemicals for food of those purebloods around.
