Chapter 10

After class, Annah raced to the door when Ricco exited there to attend another class of his.

"Give it back, Kwon." Annah then said after blocking his way.

"I refuse." He said simply and moved her out his way.

But Annah was just persistent as she followed him to his next class which was opposite direction to hers.

"Oh come on, Kwon. I earned it." Annah said.

Ricco stopped his tracks and regarded her. "You promised me ten blue packs worth of deal."

Annah couldn't find her voice again as she stopped following him. She didn't need any thesaurus to understand his words. It was clear on every words he spat that moment. He still want more of her blood.

"Psycho!" Annah screamed and ran away from him.

Gideon and Basik laughed along with Ricco.

"What was that, Mr. Kwon?" Came the voice of the hybrid prefect.

Turning to the prefect's direction, Ricco wore his cold look once again. "Nothing you should be concern of...Jason." he drawled on his name.

"I suggest you stay clear from my girlfriend, Kwon." Jason stepped closer to Ricco.

Ricco raised his brows slightly with obvious haughtiness. "Whose girlfriend?"

Jason frowned at him. "Mine, Kwon."

Maine arrived at the scene and and joined in the crowd composed of purebloods and hybrids. Jason was surrounded with their kind while Ricco had his own league of supporters behind him.

"Huh..."Ricco looked down his feet for a bit and caressed his chin with his thumb. "It baffles me really." Ricco scoffed before he looked up to Jason.

"What is there to get confused with, Kwon?" Jason raised. "For someone with great academic records, I didn't know your comprehension could be likened into a child in a day care."

The purebloods got agitated behind Ricco who only stared at him in placid demeanor.

"Alright..." Ricco shrugged his shoulders and began leaving from the scene towards his class.

Jason followed him with his eyes before he proceeded to walk into the direction opposite to Ricco.

"Ah...."Ricco stopped on his tracks beside on Jason. "I forgot to ask...which girlfriend do you want me to stay far-off again?"

Jason finally losing his patience and almost forgot that he was a prefect when he finally turned to Ricco which clenched fists. "It's Annah, you blood sucker."

Maine was nervous for the impending fight between two leaders of vampire races at school. She debated if she should call Annahelia or what. But as a pacifist herself, she dug out her phone to give a ring to his friend.

"Oh Annah, is it?" Ricco's arrogance still didn't diminish even if the prefect's scepter was already raised to his neck. "It's baffling me for moment there...since you've been shagging other women behind Annah's back."

Maine's finger stiffened and her head lifted up to Jason's face who immediately went pale.

The purebloods were snickering while the hybrids murmured in low voice.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Jason's scepter touched Ricco's flesh in the neck that it sparked and produced an electrifying power.

Basik and Gideon doused the scepter with quick motion and glared at Jason's direction.

"Let me have this low life and I shall paint his blood to the walls."Basik growled, his nails were showing.

"Or feed him to the dogs." Gideon snarled.

The purebloods were on Ricco's side who only tilted his head to the side, not feeling the shot of volt from the scepter.

Ricco just clicked his tongue, regarding Jason with coldness. "You see...I could name your girlfriends one by one but I ain't doing it. It's no fun at all."

Squinting his eyes to Jason, Ricco smirked so arrogantly. "Is that a hybrid thing? A Cheat?

Jason didn't answer him when the murmurings increased among the hybrids.

Even Maine felt ashamed to be a hybrid now at the display of their very leader. A cheater to her very best friend. She had no idea if Ricco's words were of any truth but Jason's reactions were dead giveaways.

Ricco straightened up seeing Jason's speechlessness. "Unlike you, I'm no trickster nor a phony fiend." he bent down to the scepter and snap it in two with his hands. "Weak."

The hybrids made way for Ricco as he walked away from there along with his purebloods.

Maine walked towards Jason who was startled to see her in there.

"I-it's not what you think, Maine." Jason stuttered.

Smiling in chagrin, Maine shook her head. "I don't know...but let me tell you this once and for all." She poke his chest rather firmly. "Clear away from my best friend."

Maine left there and went to her class.

Jason was left in frustration, set his blazing eyes to the damaged scepter in the floor. With a promised of vengeance ahead, Jason grab the scepter and left.

"Jason?" Annah was surprised to see her boyfriend early in the afternoon on her dorm. She got no class for two hours so she spent it alone in the dorm, reading books.

"H-hi."

"Are you alright? You look off and pale?" Annah grabbed his cheeks and felt it cold. "What happened to you?"

"I'm tired...with duties."

"Oh prefect job done you." Annah shook her head and let him come inside the dorm room.

Jason sat in the small couch across her bed while she prepared some hot drink for him.

"Here's some tea. I just made it." she said and sat on her bed."So uh...what is it?"

Jason didn't as much as sip on the cup of tea as he placed it down the small and round wooden table.

"I went to the registrar and had our names be included to be transferred to other academy."

"T-transfer? What?"

"Remember what I told you about Korean Interbreed Academy?"

"Yeah. Last year."

"It's due to open next week and they're looking for neophytes enrollees." Jason informed. "We can go there, Annah. We live in Korea and your parents wont need to spent luxury to sent you across countries for education."

Annah blinked at Jason in silence, quite hesitated to such news. It was true that it almost cost her parents a fortune just to send her in England Interbreed Academy every time the school year starts. If what Jason was saying was true, her parents could save triple the amount a year. Dorm school and miscellaneous expenses could be spared from her parents' obligations.

"I filed for our transfer already and we're good to go." Jason said.

"You filed out for me?" Annah raised her brows to him. "You didn't even have the decency to ask me first, Jason."
