Black Rose Card

Rudeger's House

"Sister!"

A young girl with beautiful black hair, clear skin like snow, red eyes, and a beautiful smile called Laeni Rudeger was running toward another woman who was exactly like her, however, they looked like two peas in a pod, her twin sister, Linae Rudeger; who was the oldest twin had a serious expression all the time and she wore golden glasses with a small chain.

"What's the matter? Why are you so worked up, Lani?

Linae was lying on the sofa reading a book about ancient history replied to her twin without even looking at her.

"They arrived... Lina" the minor answered very excitedly.

"What it is?"

"The Black Rose Card"

There was a long uncomfortable silence, Linae left the book on her lap and looked up revealing the reddish glow in her eyes.

"What did you say? It's impossible, it's too soon” the young woman looked at her sister with a frown on her eyebrows.

Laeni offered that academy admission letter to her sister to prove she wasn't lying about it.

“There was also a personal letter from the director”

Linae quickly took the letter from the headmaster of the academy and opened it faster than lightning, she read it with an impressive speed, and after she finished she crumpled that piece of paper with a look of total fury that shadowed her face.

“That FUCKING dumbass!” The young woman's scream echoed throughout the Rudeger mansion but no one was surprised.

Laeni laughed out loud seeing her older sister so furious but she knew the headmaster had probably asked something unreasonable of her again.

"Sister, you shouldn't call him like that" Laeni tried to calm her twin down

"That's what he is," the young girl growled, getting up from her comfortable place to look for a pen and paper.

"but…"

"Laeni, you should go to sleep now" Linae ordered that with a furious tone in her voice.

"Yes I know that... but you also have to rest a little, sister"

"I will, stop worrying and go to bed"

Laeni looked at her sister's back so she just sighed and left her room. Linae had never been someone “affectionate” but lately, they had grown even more distant and Laeni felt it the most.

Marlowe's House

"What's wrong, young master Deneb?"

A soft feminine voice made the handsome boy with black hair and golden eyes who was sitting on the sofa come back to his sense.

“It’s nothing Su”

The young maid looked at her husband who was the butler of the house and hit him with her elbow to attract his attention.

“Honey…” she whispered to him.

“Cof cof ” The man pretended to cough and then he asked the boy “Is there something bothering you, young master?”

”It's only...that the card arrived…”

"Did you pass it, young master? That's incredible, congratulations" the maid said excitedly.

The woman who congratulated him was Deneb's nanny since he was a child, she approached him to hug him tightly with affection and congratulated him from the bottom of her heart; his butler also looked happy.

"I'm not surprised about that, our young master is very clever"

"Thank you so much…"

Deneb was exhausted from their kindness, they always cared about him and his future as if they were his parents, but he knows they only do it because he was the last royal blood descendant of his clan, and although they raised him as if he was their real son they were not even his relatives, they were only obliged to take care of him because of his blood lineage.

Deneb left the living room walked to his room and lay down on the bed as soon as he got there. He was tired of those pointless compliments, he was tired of everyone and everything.

He took that letter of admission to the school in one of his hands and looked at it with anger. He wanted to burn it but he knew that it would have magic that would prevent it. Every time he looked at that tiny card he got angrier, that school was just a place full of strange hypocrites that he hated because they just pestered him like a bunch of flies around him thanks to his money, beauty, and lineage except his childhood friend of course.

Releasing a soft sigh, he left the card on his bed and closed his eyes for a moment. He wanted to clear his mind and forget everything but when he was already sleepy a dove flew to his room and put on his chest.

Deneb opened one of his eyes and saw that the bird with curiosity, had a piece of paper in one of its paws, he took the message that had come from his best friend and read it.

From: ???

To: Deneb

I'll finally be in your damn classroom! Get ready for a memorable year, you little brat

When he read that, he laughed out loud, unable to believe his eyes, he looked at the roof and imagined that crazy guy who always brightened his days in his school.

"Rick, you stubborn bastard.. even though I told you not to come to this place full of hypocrites, why don't you ever listen to me?"

Collins’s Mansion

"Nerick, Why are you sitting there?" a soft and sweet voice was heard scolding the boy with white hair and amethyst eyes sitting in the window frame.

"Why are you lazing around again, brat?" This time it was a strong voice that was heard.

“Honey… please don't say that”

A beautiful man with quite long light brown hair, a slim body, and amethyst eyes tries to cool down his husband the man who was sitting on the sofa reading some papers of his work. A handsome man with long white hair, amethyst eyes, and an angry face all the time.

“They accept me”

"Really? oh my, congratulation, Nerick" the man with delicate features rejoiced with happiness

He who was like a mother to the boy approached him to congratulate him and ruffled his hair; however, his father did not look happy at all.

"Don't get too excited darling, entering is easy but the important thing is to graduate and I doubt very much that this good-for-nothing will do it"

"Dear! You know very well that Nerick is the smartest in his school."

"Haha you wish, he's as smart as he is lazy and he'll never get anywhere like that”

"You…" the boy was going to complain again but the young boy stopped them.

"ENOUGH! Stop fighting, mother.. forget it, you know that I’m always going to be his big mistake in life"

He left the room only to hear them fight again over him, Nerick was furious and exhausted from their fights, all they knew to do was to fight at any opportunity. He took that letter in one of his hands and smiled only because he could see his best friend in that school.

When he arrived at his bedroom he wrote a message to his friend and put it in the leg of a dove to send it.

I'll finally be in your damn classroom! Get ready for a memorable year, you little brat

"I hope I'll surprise you”

Town’s center

A beautiful girl with sparkling golden eyes and blonde hair was walking through the streets of that mysterious little town with her best friend, a fairly tall young woman with silver hair, chocolate brown skin, and incredible green eyes, both laughing and hurrying to get to the only cafeteria in that abandoned place.

“Hurry up, Vanya! or else we will be late” the silver-haired girl hurries the other girl.

"Hahaha calm down Kaira, the coffee and chocolate will not escape"

"You say it as if it couldn’t be true"

They both saw each other and laughed before they began to run until they reached the cafeteria, being the only establishment that sold hot and cold drinks so delicious it wasn't too strange that the best drinks ran out very quickly, fortunately, they managed to arrive just in time.

They chose an outside table because it was the only one available and after they sit down they ordered two large chocolate ice cream shakes.

“What a day, my feet hurt from walking so much, Kaira… what happened to you today?” the girl called Levannya complains as a joke with a smile on her face.

"I’m sorry... but the holidays are about to end so we must pass time together as much as we can"

Kaira saw the other with a strange smile but Levannya didn't want to imagine what her friend was about to say to her.

"But we'll see each other again at school, why the rush?" she answers with a big smile

“Yeah, I suppose… Have you already chosen which high school will you attend?”

“Kaira there are only two in this small town and you know one is off-limits to me” she laughs at her friend's words

"Vanya, we both know it's not like that"

"What are you talking about?"

The conversation wasn’t going in the direction Levannya was expecting and she started to get angry.

“Vanya… I didn't want to talk about this right now but we may choose different paths now”

"Why are you saying this to me?"

"I want you to follow your dream, I hate myself for slowing you down" Kaira looks at her with sadness

"Don't talk nonsense, you have never slowed me down" she shouted very excitedly.

“Vanya! You have the best grades among 20 people in the whole country”

"But I'm number 10...that’s"

"That doesn’t matter, you could always go to that school to have a better opportunity if it weren’t for me"

"Enough Kaira... that's not fair, I don't want to hear that from you"

Levannya caressed her fingers over Kaira's hand who was about to take her hand but a postman rushed up to them so Kaira withdrew her hand and hid it under the table looking in another direction.

"Good morning ladies, which one of you is Miss Levannya Darleen?"

"I am... How can I help you?" Vanya felt a big pain in her heart for Kaira’s rejection but didn’t say anything.

“I bring you a special delivery”

The mysterious postman in that white uniform with red details took out a board for Vanya to sign she received it and once she did, he handed her a black envelope sealed with black wax and the rose symbol on it.

"This is…"

“Congratulations Vanya… you entered”

Vanya's golden eyes widened in surprise, she had received an admission letter to the most prestigious school in the entire town, the "Black Rose academy” which was incredibly difficult to enter but she did not remember having even applied to enter so… What was going on?
