Mila's pov.: Chapter 10

During the car ride I stole glances at Edith.

Her beauty is like watching the sunrise, it's peaceful and admirable all at once.

I quickly looked away when she caught me staring at her.

How is it possible to blush as a Vampire?

I opened the window to let the cool air fan my face and hair.

A gut feeling told me that things are going to get better.

I bite back a laugh when Edith placed her hand on my thigh.

It took everything in me to not jump from surprise, and such movement would of damaged her car.

The Silence carried warmth, forgiveness, hope, love and togetherness.

The thought of walking the path of immortality with someone I love comforted me.

Though I'm still afraid of being around people.

Not through being an introvert but I'm scared I'll rip them apart like paper.

My strength scared me and made me extra careful not to harm anyone around me.

"What's wrong Mila, why are you sad."

Asked Edith and I looked and saw that her face displayed genuine concern.

"What if I kill someone by mistake? I think I should be locked away somewhere.

I'm always thirsty Edith.

Even when I was around my mom, it was a challenge to not drain her blood."

I said weakly admitted the truth and my reality.

"I'm really sorry Mila, but it's nice to know that a person will have to work hard to kill you now.

You were so fragile before and I was constantly worried about your well being.

I'll teach you to control your thirst.

I promise, I won't let you harm you mother.

When you visit her I'll be near by."

Promised Edith and I felt instantly relieved.

Than I remember that I painted her as a villain in my mother's eyes.

"Edith I have to tell you something, I was angry and thirsty.

I may or may have not ruined the chances of you and my mother getting along."

I said looking away with guilt and an unreadable emotion passed through her face.

"So she will throw hands when we cross paths? Is that what you are tell me?"

Said Edith laughing as she shaked her head in amusement.

"I'm sorry for lying to her, I needed her to let go of me,

And not involve the police or anyone and used you as an escape goat."

I said feeling ashamed of my actions.

"Don't worry about it. Atleast you didn't reveal our secret.

Thanks for telling me, if she slaps me I'll pretend to faint to make her feel guilty."

Said Edith smiling and it made me smile as well.

We arrived at a luxury ressort like place and I blinked a few time before pinching myself.

It's like a city on water, so exotic and different with everything made up of refined wood.

Imagine if someone broke some wood and stake me?

"Edith, stakes don't kill me right? It's all make believe right?"

I asked nervously to which Edith broken into a laugh as she parked the car.

"Why are you thinking about dying?

This is a place to relax for a few days before we go the Crystal Mansion."

Said Edith as she took her hand in mine.

To relax? She came her so we can spend some time alone?

This is so touching that I started crying.

This Is my honeymoon because we already married in my imagination.

We parked and a handsome tall muscular man with purple eyes greeted us.

He had waist long platnim blonde hair and his features looked firmiliar.

"Greetings boss. Should I take your luggage to your room?"

Said the man who quickly bowed in respect to Edith before nodding to me.

"Yes please Eric, becafeful with the other duffel bag.

It has blood."

Said Edith smiling to the gentleman that is Eric.

This is the type of guy that a straight woman will keep a poster of on her bedroom wall.

Face card doesn't decline either, body looks like he was sculptured by Gods.

Now add that polite tone and respect that his showing right now.

The girls in my old small town would of sold their souls to bed a guy like him.

But for me, he would be like more of a brother or friend.

Even if I were to play for his team, I would work hard prying the women off him.

"Eric, meet my mate Mila. Mila this is my right hand man Eric."

Edith introduced us and I reached out to shake his hand.

Eric looked at Edith for permission, to which she smiled and nodded.

Than only did Eric take my out stretched hand and kiss the back off it.

I rapidly blinked surprised and he looked up at me from under his long eye lashes and smiled.

"It's a pleasure to have made your acquaintance, Madam Mila."

Said Eric and I smiled warmly at him and responded politely.

"The feeling is mutual Eric, thanks for the warm greeting."

I said gentlely removing my hand from his while smiling.

He than walked ahead of us to open the door and I was looking around.

I was basically looking at everything inch by inch spinning around like a top.

Edith tried her best not to laugh at my behavior.

We walked in and I calmly took in the exquisite interior design.

Beautiful colorful flowers were on the ceiling creating Ivy like patterns.

I could smell salt, beach stones and oceanic scent.

You would have to reborn as a King to even look at something like this, let alone go inside.

Had anyone told me that I'll come here one day I would of laughed at they face.

Edith's ressort is just so relaxing by just looking at it.

A perfect spot to let go of everything and existing in a paradise.

Than Eric looked at a statue and looked at me and look at Edith.

"Madam the resemblance is uncanny!

We bought this statue 50 years ago.

It looks exactly like Mila!"

Said Eric amazed and looking like he did not believe his eyes.

"Wait a minute, the painting on the wall. Madam Edith look.

It also looks like Mila and your mother bought it 100 years ago!"

Said Eric clapping his hands in happiness.

Edith looked at the Painting and than at me.

"I bought the statue for my mom since who was so excited by the painting.

It was the only statue that reminded me of mother's painting.

I bought it mindlessly from a merchant.

You are right. What are the odds of this?"

Said Edith as she kept looking at me and the painting.

I said nothing and looked at the painting and it looked exactly like me.

The statue as well. And I looked close at the statue to see if there is a name.

Nothing. How curious. This is very interesting.

"I think it's a coincidence, a lot of people look like me."

I said casually before shrugging my shoulders.

Let's not get carried away by something that could be nothing.

"We'll head up, see yourself out Eric. Thanks for your service."

Said Edith before holding my hand.

We kept walking on the wooden floors till we entered a bedroom.

I quickly ran to the bed and did a star fish jump.

Don't break.... don't break don't-

Yes! It didn't break because of my new strength.

Ooh it's so soft and nice. I don't need to sleep but I don't mind lying down.

"Edith come jump on this bed too!"

I shouted excitedly waving her over to which she looked at me amused.

"Okay! Here I come, the bed will break this time."

Said Edith and chuckles when she saw I had embraced myself for the possibility.

Edith disappeared and reappeared laying next to me.

"That's insane, you need to teach me to do that!"

I said amazed by her abilities.

Man if I could had that ability when I cut my mother's curtains as a kid.

I definitely wouldn't of got caught.

"It's so easy, I'll teach you tomorrow."

Said Edith and we cuddled on the bed.

"Want go inside the jacuzzi?" Asked Edith and my jaw hit the floor.

A what now? Like I've been to pools, rivers and the beach.

A jacuzzi never! Not in my wildest dream did I think I'll go in a jacuzzi.

"You have a jacuzzi?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, want to skinny dip in it?"

Asked Edith to which I agree. We left the room and walked abit and entered a spa room.

"Edith this is incredible! This room is amazing."

I said marveling at the bathroom like luxury set up.

Now it was time to take off our clothes.

I immediately felt self conscious and hesitated to take off my clothes.

"You can wear a bikini if you are uncomfortable.

I can also wear one as well. I'll give you some privacy to change."

Said Edith being so thoughtful.

I appreciated it because it was out of my comfort zone.

"That will work thank you. I'm still a virgin and I always wanted to wait for marriage.

But when I met you, that went out the window."

I said admitted and some how felt embarrassed.

"I can wait for you Mila.

Please don't feel pressured to sleep with me.

What I feel for you is not just physical.

You are literally my whole world.

I won't love you less if we don't have sex today.

We could kiss and cuddle inside the jacuzzi and I will stop as soon as you uncomfortable. "

Said Edith melting my heart into a chocolate puddle.
