Vampire?
"Fuck fuck" one of them started to curse in horror as he clenched his fingers around his head and started to have a breakdown.
"You little shit, calm down and shoot him" one of the masked men shouted at him. Immediately everyone started to take out their pistols and started shooting the unknown silver man.
Nearly ten bullets were etched into the body of the unknown man.
"Not so tough now ah?" the newbie said, trying to act tough and calm himself down. But to his horror he saw all the bullets fall down, failing to penetrate the shrivelled skin of the unknown man.
"Hmm, it seems humans have improved. These things are more powerful than the last time" the unknown man muttered to himself.
Before anyone could recognise what he was saying he was suddenly in front of them. With just one motion, he yanked off the kidnapper's hand along with his gun.
"Aaaaargh" a bloody and painful scream was heard throughout the building. The unknown man opened his mouth and started to drink from the fountain of blood spurting from the yanked-off hand.
After just a few seconds, he immediately spitted back the blood.
"What a vile taste" he said in disgust. "The first guy tasted a lot better" he muttered as he yanked off the man's head.
"W..what is he? Shoot him, kill him" one of them shouted in horror. They immediately started shooting again. To their surprise, this time he dodged all the bullets.
Before anyone noticed two more heads were rolling on the floor. The masked men were now reduced to just two. The newbie and another guy.
The other guy stood rooted on the spot in fear and started to piss himself. The silver-haired man and the newbie looked at him in disgust. The silver-haired man fired the pistol he yanked off and killed the pissing guy.
The newbie who was very experienced in playing Reverie quickly calmed down as he had seen many gory scenes in the game.
"So now that you have calmed down a little, can you stop shooting me now and talk peacefully?" the silver-haired man asked nonchalantly.
"Who..who are you? No, what are you?" the newbie asked, stuttering a lot in fear and awe.
"You can call me Raizen. As for what I am, you wouldn't believe me if I told you" Raizen said.
"Great Immortal, please leave this poor human alone. I have made a grave mistake of disturbing you" the newbie immediately kowtowed, throwing away his gun.
Raizen stared at the newbie dumbfounded. He thought this guy was funny and decided to spare him.
"Okay okay little guy, get up and also remove that thing from your face" Raizen said while laughing.
The newbie looked at Raizen with a dazed expression. He thought this odd guy looked really charming despite his messy appearance.
Raizen's otherworldly charm unconsciously reduced the newbie's wariness towards him. The newbie immediately removed his mask.
He had blond hair with a fair face. There was a cut in his eyebrows that made him look more handsome and gave him a rugged look.
"So, what is your name, little guy?" Raizen asked.
"It's Chris, Great Immortal" Chris answered faithfully.
"Stop calling me Great Immortal" Raizen said helplessly. He found that humans didn't change a lot. It was still very difficult to deal with them.
"Okay great Immortal" Chris answered honestly.
Raizen sighed and just left the little guy alone. At this time he heard a cough. Only now did he notice the poor girl lying on the floor.
"Who is she?" Raizen asked Chris. Chris immediately panicked but he didn't dare to lie and narrated the incident.
"So it's like this" Raizen didn't say much and moved towards the girl. This sort of incident is very common in the human world, so he wasn't bothered by it.
Still he found the group of assassins that the little guy called the Assassin's guild very interesting. He spoke very highly of it.
Raizen stood before the woman and asked "Are you okay little girl?"
"V..vampire" Crimson Countess muttered before falling unconscious.
"..." Raizen stared at her dumbfoundedly. How did this little girl find his identity so quickly? Were there many vampires roaming the era?
"Vampire, what sort of bullshit is that?" Chris sneered from the side after hearing it.
'Probably not' Raizen thought. 'Should I tell this guy the truth?' he wondered.
"Great Immortal, please wear the clothing I took from those guys" Chris handed the clothes to Raizen. He was honestly becoming more insecure looking at Raizen's naked body.
"Oh, you are right. I should probably wear some clothes" Raizen said as he wore the clothes. They didn't fit him well but he had to adjust for the time being.
"What should we do about her great Immortal?" Chris asked. The guild will probably soon find something suspicious and come look here to investigate.
"We should probably wait here till she wakes up" Raizen said while looking at the unconscious woman.
"Yes" Chris said, afraid to refute Raizen. He still can't comprehend the crazy day he had today. He was hoping to quickly login into Reverie and blow off some steam.
"How long will it be before she wakes up?" Raizen asked.
"Maximum 2 hours immortal" Chris answered.
"Okay, you take care of her. I will go and sightsee the outside world for a bit" saying that Raizen vanished from his spot.
Raizen arrived at the peak of a tall building. The city was buzzing with activity even at night. There were lights everywhere which gave the city a joyous mode.
"Humans have truly grown" Raizen muttered with a sigh.
As he was admiring the night view something on a board caught his attention. The board was playing something.
A human male dressed as a warrior was fighting against a huge monster. Behind a human cast a spell of fireball and launched it towards the monster.
The view shifted towards a town in a mediaeval setting. People were walking happily and talking to each other. The video played on for a while.
Raizen say many weird things that made him very confused. He even saw creatures resembling vampires.
'Am I in the same world?' Raizen had this crazy idea. At the end of the video, he heard
