Runemaster

Raizen opened the post made by someone named Groll. In that post, Groll mentioned the combinations for various common classes like Swordsmen, Archer, and Mage.

There were even combinations for some advanced classes like Spellblade and Battlemage.

The user named Groll didn't specifically didn't recommend or advise against any class. He just gave some ideas based on which the players can choose classes.

He seemed to be an experienced player as he gave many insights on various classes, and his experience when fighting with them and against them.

After looking through the post and finding some interesting things Raizen started to look for information regarding Ninja and Runemaster.

Ninja was a pretty good class. But only skilled people used it. One of the major flaws was its low health. Ninjas had the least health among all the Assassin classes.

Another flaw is the need to do hand signs to cast spells. Skilled players could easily cast hand signs quickly with time. But normal people struggle.

But the information he found on Runemaster made Raizen very interested. According to the information, Runemaster was a class that was actively avoided by people.

Not many people Runemaster as their first class. The only people who were currently Runemasters were people who accidentally found Runes and changed their classes.

Runemasters were technically mages who used magic runes to cast spells. Runemasters had two paths of development.

The first path, who etches runes on weapons to give them special properties. Second, who uses runes to cast spells. The first path was easy to advance.

As even some skilled blacksmiths had the ability to etch runes into weapons. But they didn't know what the etched runes meant, only the effects it bought.

But the second path was a difficult one. Runemasters were different from your typical mage. Normal mage classes usually get spells as skills.

But Runemaster didn't have many attack spells that were given as skills by the system. Instead, they were given the ability to understand the runes, the ancient language.

They needed to use runes, and arrange them in a specific order to cast spells. In this aspect, they were a bit similar to Ninja. One way to get around this tedious process is to find Runes.

The physical manifestation of the ancient characters. They were spread throughout the world. If they find it, Runemasters could virtually do anything.

Ilma, one of the famous players who were Runemasters, had the Rune of Illusion. She can toy with her opponents using the rune of illusion.

Overall it was a class with great potential, but it required you to come up with your own spells to realise the potential or luck plays a huge part.

So there were not many people who chose this class. But Raizen instantly decided to choose this class after seeing some of the spells that players created after long research.

Raizen closed the forums and called Natasha using his quantum watch.

"Hello Natasha" Raizen greeted her.

"Oh hello Raizen, how was your time playing the game?" Natasha asked. Currently, she is also in the game. But since the quantum watch is connected to the capsule, she will be informed if she got any calls.

After seeing it was Raizen, she immediately logged out of the game and attended his call.

"It was great. I even already reached level 10" he said.

"Oh, what class are you going to choose?" She asked curiously. She was really interested in the choice a vampire would make.

"It's a secret" Raizen said, laughing. Natasha pouted a little but didn't pester him.

"Anyway, did you see which sector Scandinavia is in?" Raizen asked.

"It's Zone 7" Natasha said.

"Oh ok"

"Are you going to go there? Do you need me to come?" She asked. She was curious about who Raizen wanted to meet in Zone 7. Does anyone he knows still alive?

Medicine that increases one's lifespan was only founded in the past 50 years. So the chances of them being alive were very low unless..

'They are a Vampire like him' Natasha thought, seemingly enlightened.

"Raizen I am coming with you" saying that she ended the call excitedly.

The next day Natasha immediately booked flight tickets to Zone 7 for two people. Natasha came by Raizen's home to pick him up.

Even though she tried to stay calm, excitement was evident on her face. Raizen entered her hover car as they left for the airport.

"Are we meeting another vampire?" Natasha asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

"No" Raizen said, pouring cold water on her fantasies. But she didn't give up and still held onto a little hope.

"Then any other supernatural creatures?" she asked.

"You will see" Raizen said a bit absentmindedly. His mind is currently focused on something else.

Seeing Raizen not paying any attention to her, Natasha controlled herself and forcefully shut up. She found it very difficult to converse with Raizen.

As they were travelling, Raizen suddenly asked

"Do you know who created Reverie?"

Natasha looked at Raizen for a while but eventually answered

"Not much is known about the Dream Corporation. They are a very secretive company. They only participate in some major events, and that too only low-level members could be seen in those programs"

"Hmm" Raizen said. After a while, he suddenly opened his mouth and started to speak again

"It is not an ordinary game" he said. Natasha scoffed and replied

"Of course, it is not an ordinary game. It is the first VR game with full immersion…"

"They know about us" Raizen said with a smile, cutting off Natasha.

"Ah?" Natasha turned towards Raizen, doubt written all over her face.

"What do you mean?" she asked both doubtful and curious.

"They know of the extraordinary world hidden beneath the mundane life" Raizen answered with a mysterious smile on his face.

Natasha looked at Raizen blankly, failing to understand the meaning beneath it. But after a few seconds, she had an inkling of understanding of what he meant.

Still, she asked doubtfully.

"Do you mean they know about you? About vampires?

"And much more" Raizen said.

"..." Natasha almost crashed the car because of the shock she got. Already some of her worldviews crumbled when she found out about the existence of vampires by meeting Raizen.

Now he implied there was much more hidden beneath the surface. Maybe other supernatural things like Werewolf and magic existed?
