The guy who threatened Scar the undead was now seen with a blade from her sword close to cutting his throat, and scar glaring at him. In less than a second, she was able to take out a sword, close the distance between them and stop just in time before she went through him.
"You're fast aren't you." The guy said regaining his composure. "But you know... I'm faster." He said, and just then he already slashed through her with his sword, causing immense blood to drip out of her body while the shock of it threw her a few feet into the air gushing blood like a pathway. She landed... hard, but was able to barely get up. Still no word out of her just the same glare as before.
"Scar! Are you ok?" Rebel called out to her then immediately turned his attention back to her opponent. "You'll pay for this you-"
"Rebel. I can handle it." Scar stopped Rebel from moving with just her voice. She then stood back into her fighting stance as the wound healed up only leaving red stains on her clothes.
"So I guess the rumours are true. I guess it would be easier for me to just knock you out. Or you could come with me without resisting. I guess if I really wanted you dead though I would have to critically injure you more and more before you can regenerate until there's nothing left of you, sadly my client won't allow it. Although the choice is yours." The guy said putting the sheath back on his sword a just casually waiting for her reply. Scar stared back at him, her blood pressure rising from fury.
"Are- are you making fun of me be-" Scar fell unconscious before she could finish her sentence.
"Scar-!" Rebel also, before he knew what was going on got knocked out in a second.
"Geez... It was about time you came." The guy said annoyed. He was talking to another guy who was picking the now unconscious rebel and scar up with each hand. He wore a mask covering his face but he didn't cover his muscles with cloth, they were covered in tattoos.
"Sorry. I was held up." He said pointing to a companion who was looking at fire and destruction of the village.
"Geez, did you have to burn down this village? It sold amazing jewellery." A woman came out from the other side. She had red curly long and purple eyes. She mostly wore black and carried around a spear. The woman then noticed Scar unconscious on her companion's shoulder. "Oh, you finally got him. You know he is really adorable. I wonder what they want with him and that canine of his." She wondered inspecting Scars face.
"Yeah, well news flash. This guy is a girl."
"Seriously?" The woman asked shocked. "Do they know?"
"Most likely but I guess that's information they didn't want us to know." The guy said confiscating Scars sword.
"Shouldn't you check if he-she has any more weapons?" The woman asked.
"You do it. I'll bring the cart around." The guy said. A few seconds later as the woman and her companion with an unconscious Scar and Rebel were waiting in the outskirts of the village the other guy came back with two horses pulling along a cart. "Alright, you put princess zombie and her mutt to the back. We should get there by noon tomorrow if we go now." He said. The robust guy put the two into the cart and locked them behind bars so they wouldn't get out, then joined the two at the front. As they made their way through the forest.
What the? Where am I? My head hurts. Why is it rocking? Scar thought as she heard chattering and laughing above her. she looked around her, her surroundings looked a wooden box with bars locking her in. Then the events from that night came flooding in causing panic as she backed herself into a corner. There's no way. Was I-?
"It's about time you woke up." One of the guys said throwing her food through a hole. The guy from yesterday. Bread? Scar looked at it blankly. "But I suppose even if you don't eat you won't die anyway. But we gotta keep you looking healthy." He said cutting the conversation short. Ok. I have to get out of here. Scar thought looking for her sword in her clothes. Damn it, they took it. She thought then heard a grunting sound from behind her.
"Rebel!" She exclaimed in relief seeing no harm done to the wolf as he woke up.
"Scar? What happened? Where are we?" Rebel asked looking around.
"Rebel. I'm sorry, I could have gotten you killed. I didn't think people would still be after me, but I guess some things never change."
"Hey, it's not your fault. You haven't fought in a while so you're a little rusty. Don't worry we'll get out of here somehow and find valours heart which will turn everything back normal. You'll see." Rebel said encouragingly trying to lift her spirits. Just then the carriage came to an immediate stop shaking the place.
"What's going on?" Scar went to check it out but could only see a bit of the situation and could only hear a bit through the muffled voices. "Are you kidding me? A fourth one?" Scar said almost tired of it all. Except for the difference with this one was... he was beating them up. "What the-"
"What? What do you see?" Rebel asked trying to peak however he fell back down as the carriage started to move again at full speed.
"That's it. I'm not gonna lie down and take this. come on, Rebel." She said the wobbled to the bars. "Hey! Hey, you up there!" Scar screamed getting the drivers attention he immediately stopped causing Scar to fall back down.
"Is someone in there?" The person asked getting up.
"Well, it's not a talking egg that fell off a bridge that's for sure." Scar said ruining her mood by the second.
"Wow. What got you all worked? Why are you in there anyway?" He asked walking to the bars to see for himself. The feature that caught Scar's eyes first was his fiery red eyes. He had brown hair that moved perfectly with the breeze.
"You don't know who I am?" Scar asked a little surprised.
"Sure don't." He said and opened up the cage. "But hey, if you're running away from the law too, I won't tell on you." He said making space her to get out. rebel followed closely after. "A wolf huh." He muttered. "Anyway, we outlaws have to stick together. With that said, I'm taking this. bye." He said while riding away with the carriage and everything on it.
"That jerk. Leaving me stranded here." Scar said watching her only way of transportation.
"Whatever, at least he got us out. Do you have everything? Your sword? Your necklace?" Rebel asked, however, is question was answered with a facepalm. "Don't tell me its-!"
"Back on the carriage? No that would be the worst place to keep the stuff that was taken away from me." Scar answered sarcastically looking at Rebel angrily.
"Oh, come on. It'll be fine. The guy who took the carriage just seemed like a normal bandit, I'm sure that he would either just keep it for himself or sell the stuff. Either way, he has them and we will find out where he's going." Rebel said started to move but was then pulled back by his tail.
"I can't wait that long! I have to get to valours heart as soon as possible."
"So you're taking a little detour. I'm sure it will be fine."
"Aren't you supposed to be the responsible one?"
"I wasn't the one that lost her only way of survival. Besides we should be heading to a village since right now we don't even know where we are." Rebel suggested then started walking again. Scar followed close behind him definitely not happy about the circumstances.
