Attack on Valkyries

"Is everyone ready? We should be reaching Holm in three days." Yuri said.

"Why don't we just warp to Holm?" I asked with Atalia on my back.

"Because Holm isn't registered to us just yet. Once we make it there and set up a base there, we will be able to warp there as we please." Fhae answered.

"Alright, let us get into our groups. Grace, Komine. As always you're with me. Vaja, Loki, Sunna you're in a group. Fhae and Cornelia can take Dante and Atalia. Let's not waste anymore time!" Yuri said.

We all began to get into our vehicles and began to drive off to Holm.

"So these Valkyries. Are they associated with us Astra Valkyries?" I asked.

"Yes and no. Only two of them are. The reincarnations of Nott and Dagr. They are planning on reviving the Mother of all Jotunns, Ymir. We are going to assist them in this task in hopes of stopping Organization X once and for all." Cornelia explained as she drove.

"I see. How are they planning to do that?" I asked.

"That is a great question and to answer that, I don't know. As you can see, this war has caused desperation. We are actively trying everything possible to end this war as fast as possible. They are said to have the Nine Runes of Yggdrasil so we can only take their word that they know what they're doing." Cornelia answered.

"It is said that these Nine Runes can be used to summon Ymir, but it will also summon her twin named Aurgelmir. Aurgelmir holds a hatred for the Gods because Odin, Vili, and Vir killed him because he and Ymir were the creators of the Jotunn. Ymir holds no resentment for the Gods and Goddesses, but this is still too risky of a play for us." Fhae added.

"I bet. This could start more problems than we can ask for..." I said and looked out the window.

We continued to follow Yuri and soon took a stop to refuel on gas and get a few snacks for us to eat while we continued our drive to Holm. Once we finished getting gas and snacks, we continued on the road to Holm.

"Daddy! Look!" Atalia said and pointed out the window at a few horses galloping.

I held Atalia on my lap and looked at what Atalia was pointing to and smiled. "Those horses? They are very majestic aren't they?"

Atalia nodded and smiled. She watched them gallop and noticed a horse following us. "That one is following us! It seems like it wants to race!"

"I wish we could race it, but we would end up getting lost." Cornelia said with a soft chuckle.

We continued on our way and as we drove, an ice arrow hit our car. Cornelia grunted and began to swerve. Atalia screaming and held onto something tightly. I held onto Atalia and grunted then five more ice arrows struck our car, making Cornelia lose control of the car then we crashed into a ditch. Our car began to roll down a hill and suddenly everything stopped moving.

{Yuri: Cornelia?! Fhae! Dante! Someone answer me! Are you all alright?!}

I softly groaned as I crawled out the car with Atalia. I looked at Atalia in my arms and noticed she was out cold. "Atalia! Atalia!"

I checked her pulse and noticed she was still alive, but she showed no signs of waking up. My heart thumped and I grunted as I held her in my arms.

Cornelia held Fhae out of the car and grunted softly. She looked up the hill and noticed Yuri and the others hurrying toward us. She noticed another being walking forward and grunted. "An Organization X unit.."

I looked up and noticed the woman as well.

The woman was a tall, attractive woman with extremely pale skin, snow white hair, icy blue eyes, and a few blue markings on her face. She had a curvaceous build with large breasts and wore a white long hooded cloak made of fur over her viking like outfit. She carried a bow made from ice and had a blue naginata equipped to her back.

Yuri looked back and noticed the woman. She glared and balled her hands into fists. "You...Drifa! You dare show your face to us again?!"

Drifa looked down at us and noticed Atalia in my arms. She watched me stand and noticed Atalia waking up. "We can not allow you to win this war. For us to win, we need that girl."

I glared at Drifa and slight dark gold aura began to surround my body. I handed Atalia to Komine and walked forward. "I'm not letting you get away with this.."

Drifa noticed me propel myself toward her and dodged my attack. She smirked and fired three ice arrows at me, but I dodged each of them and dashed toward her. She blocked my punch and grunted. She pushed me back and made her bow disappeared then grabbed her naginata.

"The man associated with Freyja herself. The man that made Solmund lose control. You're just a human and somehow you're comparable in strength to a Jotunn!" She said and dashed toward me.

I summoned Folkvangr and blocked her slash. I pushed her back and struck her with a kick then slashed in a circle, striking her. She groaned and slid backwards. She chuckled and her eyes shined. She bellowed and a blizzard was summoned. I grunted and slid backwards a bit.

A few Ice Shadows were summoned and surrounded me. I looked at them and my eyes shined gold then I got into my stance.

"No matter what you do...you can not defeat the reincarnation of Skadi herself. Not as you are. The most wise choice would be to hand over Atalia now and have your lives spared." Drifa said.

The Ice Shadows walked toward me then gun shots were heard and the Ice Shadows began to disappear one by one. Drifa noticed Grace dashing toward her and grunted as she dodged her attack. Drifa slashed horizontally at Grace, but Grace used her gunblade to block the attack then punched Drifa directly in her face. Drifa groaned and stumbled backwards then felt vines wrap around her body.

Fhae bellowed and spun Drifa around then slammed her to the ground. Drifa's icy aura surged powerfully and she began to grow even stronger from the blizzard.

"I will not fail this mission! The Risi will win this war no matter the cost!" Drifa bellowed.

Sunna flew to the air and her blazing aura stopped the blizzard and caused the sun to shine brightly. Drifa grunted and felt the temperature growing hotter. She summoned her bow and fired multiple ice arrows at Sunna, but Sunna quickly fired solar arrows at the ice arrows and collided with them causing explosions.

I ran toward Drifa and bellowed then slashed at her, but she used her bow to block my attack then kicked me backwards and fired ice arrows at me. I deflected them and stomped on the ground and rock spikes protruded from the ground quickly toward Drifa. Drifa dodged the spike and dashed toward me.

I blocked her attack then went for a counter, but she evaded it and hit me with a powerful punch to my stomach. I groaned and grunted when I was knocked to the sky. Loki used her staff to warp me away from Drifa's next attack.

"Seems like you're having issues here, Drifa." A woman said and walked forward with a soft sigh. "You said it would be easy, but I guess I gave you too much credit than you deserve."

"It would be easy if the others hadn't jumped in to their little boyfriend's rescue." Drifa said.

I looked at the other woman and glared at her.

The woman was also a beautiful woman with fair skin, long, curly silver hair, red eyes, and death markings on her face. She had a slender body, medium bust, and had more cursed marks on her arms. She wore a black dress with slits on both sides, black arm sleeves, dark colored stockings, and shoes to match her attire.

"Valdana!" Grace bellowed.

"Valdana..?" I asked and grunted when I remembered what Freyja said about her.

•Three Days Ago...•

"I was afraid of that, but at least they don't know where she is... However it's best if you keep your guard because Valdana knows where you all are. She will attack and I'm afraid as you are, you can't win even with your War God Form."

•Present Day...•

Valdana looked at me and smirked. "You're the infamous Dante that Solmund told me about. What a treat to look at, you would go perfectly in my domain.."

"As if I would ever go with you to Helheim! You're all trying to take someone precious away from me and I won't allow it! You all hurt Atalia and that's something I will never let slide!" I bellowed.

"Oh...My dear Dante, when we get our hands on Atalia we will do more than just hurt her. We will strip her of every bit of Godlike Energy from her body. She will die." Valdana chuckled.

"What..?" I asked and my heart thumped even harder.

"She's one of the most important Deities to date being the daughter of Freyja and having the blood of every Aesir and Vanir. Honestly I'm not surprised. Freyja is a whore...using her beauty for her own gains. I'm actually glad she's dead, now no one can stop us from destroying Folkvangr. That slut was finally put in her place!" Valdana said.

I growled and clenched my fists. "You have no right to talk down on MY Freyja like that...most importantly, you're not taking Atalia away from me! Never! Freyja!"

The sky turned golden and a pillar of light crashed down and everyone grunted as they felt extremely powerful energies surging across the area. The pillar disappeared and revealed Freyja in the flesh.

Everyone looked at Freyja in awe and stared at her. No one expected Freyja to appear, especially not Drifa nor Valdana.

"How...How are you still alive?!" Valdana asked in shock.

Freyja licked her lips and smirked. She held her hand out and summoned her cane. "It's just the fact that you believe you've actually bested me...You've killed one of my many personas, but in the end you haven't truly killed me. Just the fact that you also believe you can take Atalia away is really stupid."

"Tch...The Goddess actually helping in battle, fine I'll just kill you permanently then! There's nothing stopping me from doing this!" Valdana laughed and formed an orb of dark energy in between her hands. She expanded the orb and purple lightning crackled around the orb of energy.

Freyja watched Valdana then smirked.

Valdana bellowed and threw the orb of energy at Freyja, but Freyja easily knocked it away. Her golden aura surrounded her body and her eyes shined brightly. Valdana looked surprised and glared. She dashed toward Freyja and jumped up, going for a spinning kick.

Freyja easily dodged it and palmed Valdana's stomach. Valdana groaned and coughed as she was hit. Freyja struck Valdana with a swiping chop then twirled into a powerful crescent kick, making Valdana lean down. She followed it with a back kick then a spinning heel kick, knocking her away.

Valdana rolled backwards then grunted and coughed up a bit of blood. 'Each successful hit made her strikes even stronger than the last...does she also have Combat Empowerment..?!'

"What's the matter..? Have you forgotten that outside my lascivious ways, I am a War Deity as well? You must've forgotten, so allow me to show you." Freyja said and transformed into her Goddess Form, making her cloak golden, her eyes shined red and her hair became gold as well.

Valdana bellowed and dashed toward Freyja and went for a strike but noticed Freyja had flawlessly dodged her attack. She looked surprised and went for a barrage of attacks, but Freyja dodged each one flawlessly then countered with a powerful kick, knocking her away. Freyja held her hand out and trapped Valdana in golden aura then dodged Drifa's attack.

"I can't believe we're watching the actual Freyja fight...She's handling both Valdana and Drifa at the same time..!" Yuri said in awe.

Atalia opened her eyes and noticed us outside then looked ahead to see Freyja and her eyes widened. "Freyja..?"

Komine looked at Atalia then back at Freyja.

Freyja began to turn the grass gold and smirked. "You're finished...Now disappear! Folkvangr!"

A barrage of golden beams crashed down and struck Valdana and Drifa. They yelled in pain as the beams of light struck down on them then a massive explosion happened. Valdana and Drifa fell to their knees then laid on the ground.

Freyja turned the grass back to normal and looked back at me. She smiled at me and blew me a kiss then warped back to Folkvangr.

{Bond with Freyja Increased!}

I smiled at her then looked at Valdana and Drifa then noticed a cloaked figure warp to them and picked them up. The figure warped away, retreating without a word.

"Daddy!" Atalia called out to me.

I looked at Atalia and my eyes widened. I hurried over to her and took her from Komine's arm and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back and held onto me tightly.

"The fact that Freyja actually helped us...We literally have Dante to thank for that because I wasn't so sure on how we would've handled Valdana as she is, taken she's now the Ruler of Helheim." Loki said.

"Yeah...we really had our asses saved by Dante and Freyja, but what are we going to do about transportation? Cornelia's car is fucked." Grace said.

"Hey!" Fhae said and pointed at Atalia.

Grace blushed and held her arms. "Sorry, I'm just so mad that we were attacked. Dante and I were literally just talking somewhat about this yesterday! Valdana and Drifa are a massive threat! They know almost every move we could possibly make, they used to be Astra Valkyries after all!"

"Yeah...We are kinda screwed in this. Hold on let me call Hlorja. Her protection should be enough to keep us out of danger, plus we might need her power in Holm...but that leaves Sakanami vulnerable to attacks.." Yuri said.

"I say do it. As long as we have protection, we should be completely fine. If her power is enough to stop Organization X from striking, she should be able to help us make it to Holm safely. We don't need another incident like this happening twice.." I said.

Yuri looked at me and nodded. "Alright...I'll give her a call."
