Getting downstairs, I had to admit that I wasn't expecting the formally battery hungry teenagers to be played a non - electronic game.
An actual game!
Damn. I need to stop questioning Cole's persuasive skills.
Deepening my hands into the Jean's pockets, I walked over to where they sat on the floor.
"Hey guys. What's the game?"
"Oh Hi Valley. I think its called name a person's name, an animal and state that starts with one letter," Kiko informs me gleaming.
"I'm pretty sure that's not exactly what they call it," Darwin says sitting next to her.
"Okay if that's not it, then what's the name?"
Staring up to the ceiling for somewhat clarification, he just nodded. "Sincerely I'm just as clueless as you're. So where are we?"
"We're at Chase's turn. You were saying Taylor and texas?" Just then something next to her began to rattle as she looked down.
"Wait where are Liza and Gwen?" I frown searching for them in the kitchen but they weren't there.
"Sheesh!" Kiko says bringing something to her ear.
"Hey is that a walkie talkie - "
"Sheesh!" Darwin, Rosà and Cole said at the same time.
"Yeah it it. I and Liza brought mine and hers with us. Hey Liza? Babe? What's going on?"
Did I just hear her right?
Did she just call her babe?
Coming closer, I tried figuring out what they was going on.
"Yes Liza I can hear you. Come to the bathroom? Okay we will," Kiko drops the phone, as we all shared a look.
It didn't take long until kiko, Darwin and I rushed to see what was going on.
°°°
"Who ho!" We hear cheering from the bathroom Liza and Gwen shared.
"Wha - what's going on?" I asked surprised to see the toilet gurgling with dirty water as Liza and Gwen shared a high five.
"Oh nothing much. We just for bored playing that kids game so we decided to try out this tik tok challenged I keep online for future boredom cases like now," Liza slurred putting her phone into my face.
The storm was getting worse by the minute, but that clearly doesn't stop this teenagers from getting drunk and trying dumb challenges.
"Then why did you call us?" Kiko asked as she got hold of Liza by the arms.
"Well probably because it has been gushing shit water ever since we put the mini fire works in it," Gwen says like it was oblivious to us newcomers.
"Hey that's actually funny," Kiko cracks a smile as she watched the water gush like crazy.
"No It isn't and you know it. Gwen this isn't your house so why are you acting so irresponsible damn it!" Darwin takes her hand but she flinches.
"Hey let go of me! You don't tell me what to do Darwin. Although you're my boyfriend, you don't!" She yells at him as he just stood there not saying anything.
"I agree with Darwin," I say out of the blue as she brought her attention to me.
"Really don't leave me hanging now valley. We're women and we have to stick together whenever guys like him try to act their macho way in us," Gwen pouts taking hold of my hand.
"Yes there exactly right Gwen but now, your boyfriend is making serious sense in his argument right now. Since the pipes are probably messed up now because of you two's shenanigans, I'll have to call a plumber to check it out which I can't do since dad's the one that pays the bills meaning the plumber will obviously alert him seeing that I'm not leaving alone but with teenagers that act and get drunk whenever they want to," I say holding my head as I felt a headache coming in.
"Oh I get it now," Liza says looking like she truly did while Gwen abruptly took her hand from mine like it was a poisonous snake I was handing to her.
"Well I guess we should go," Darwin says after a while, expectantly looking at Gwen who didn't even try returning the gaze.
Seeing this, he sighed before leaving with kiko and Liza.
When she was about to leave, I took hold of Gwen's hand.
"You shouldn't have spoken to Darwin like that you know. From what I see, he really cares about you,"
"Hey! Who do you think you are telling me about what I should do and not too huh? " She rips my hand off her. "You probably think your little Mrs perfect with your perfect house, perfect mind and perfect boyfriend. Well let me just tell you that you aren't even close to that," She emphasized on it with her hands as sue cornered me.
"See this house? You might have it and most likely many more but that doesn't and let me just say will never fill that void in the place where your heart is meant to be. You might not show it, but you're pretty lonely. Cole has never cared about you but sadly you only realized that after you made a complete fool of yourself in front of people you don't even know. Let's not talk about the people you're familiar with. And lastly but not least, you've probably don't see it but you've lost your sanity a long time ago," She takes my hands.
"The others don't see it but it's just a matter of time before you push one of us off a cliff," She begins to chuckle. "And I'm saying that literally. Oh God, and only because of a guy that doesn't care about you," She says with one last sympathetic look before exiting the room making me feel exactly like she aimed for me to feel.
Resting my body on the hard wall, I felt the key words she used to mentally bruise me.
You try but clearly you aren't perfect as you wish you were.
Not even the big house you live in can fill up the void in your heart.
You've wasted years chasing Cole and it's just now you've noticed he really doesn't care about you.
I don't know why, but the fact that she said that on the influence frightened me, cause I believe that's when they begin to sing their true thoughts without filter.

"You left your phone out there and I came to return it,"
As these words settle in, her strong and cold expression relaxes a bit. "Oh thanks. Totally forgot I didn't have it with me," She's about to grab it when I take it from her reach.
"No no hold on a moment flash. I just have a few questions for you before handing over this," Taking a step back purposely, I continue. "Earlier this evening, you said I wasn't as bad as you thought. Could you enlighten that for me a bit?"
"Hm I think I've a better idea, why don't you just give me that damn phone!" Shrieking like a kid that dropped his chocolate bar, she tries taking me by surprise as she jumps up to take the phone but proving faster, I make further distance between us.
"No, No I couldn't. But maybe I'll change my mind if you consider explaining why you hate me so much,"
Staring at the rugged floor for a while as she try catching her breath, Kiko takes me by surprise when her head jerks back up.
"You know what? I think there's a way better option for this. How about you go to hell with it? I've a backup phone anyway," Swaying her short hair to the side, the momentarily stunned I get when she walks away from me and towards the door abruptly subsides as not waiting for her to reach it, I take hold of her pale arm firmly.
"You're not going anywhere until I say so,"
"Stop it, you're hurting me!" Struggling at my hold, I surprise even myself when I tighten it.
"I'm not letting go until you give me the answer I need,"
Finally getting away from my strong grip, she stumbles back, with her chest thumping so rapidly that she had to hold it.
"Now you listen to me!" She points the other one at me.
"All you've achieved now is confirming my suspicions. Now get out of my room damn it. I don't want psycho girl trying to do to me what I've never let anyone try! But if you truly don't want to, I'll do the leaving myself!" Hair crazy, she begins panting since the process of letting go of what has been kicking you in the gut in one go can be pretty exhausting.
I really don't somehow, it seemed like that last part made a mark on me, cause trust me when I say that no bee could have stunned me worse than that last part.
"Psy - Psycho girl? Well I haven't been called that since the sixth grade," I recall, mostly to myself, but she ends up hearing it clearly. And from the way she fidgets in her spot, my inner suspicions only get cleared, but in that process ends up leaving me with an empty spot in my stomach to fill.
Cause there's only three people that I still talk to from the sixth grade and from my knowledge, she only knows two of them.
And those people are currently in my house.
°°°°°
A/N: Thoughts on the nickname psycho girl? Isn't it just a tad too hash for a sixth grader?
But it also kinda of explains more on her actions whenever she's nervous.

I promise the chapters will get better. ;)

By the way, the book I'll like to monetize isn't this one. And I wish for Valid By Choice just to be for enjoyment. For now
