Dinner Date

After some weeks, Major General Aiwa was being promoted to a Lieutenant General. He was the youngest even though he was just 33 years old. That was enough for others to respect him very much.

As a result, there was a big congratulatory party for him and naturally all the big shots attended it.

Many came to him raising their glass and everyone was merry.

Amber was at the side busy teasing Ansem,"Say, you wont drink again right? If you do, i shall happily give you a punishment....", she grinned widely making her a naive, cute girl in her military formal attire. Ansem just looked at he with ever loving eyes...Yes, they don't care about people actually so not many dared to approach them.

As if i'll drink tonight! That guy will come on to you again. I won't let him! Even though i can still maintain cool after being drunk, i don't trust that guy will do noting to you. I have to keep an eye on you! Aww such cute possessive thoughte hehe. He had never let her out of his sight from the time they have been together...so naturally he developed a possessive side. He was even surprised at his childish thoughts but soom smiled.

Amber saw him smile and was reassured. No words needed, tacit understanding of each other!

While that was that, Aiwa was already coming up to them and he saw the two looking at each other as if they were each others world. But one had no expression while the other was grinning widely. What a contrast....!

"Major General! Lieutenant! Thank you very much for coming. How are you this evening?", he smiled.

Ansem nodded at him. Amber,"We're really enjoying thank you very much. Congratulations again"

"Ahem thank you"

After talking for a while, they all went back.

The next day was another day of vigorous training, now that everyone had adapted to it they finally saw the results of their hardcore training. They were really glad.

"Major General, we need to exercise our strengths in the field," one of them said.

Ansem naturally knew the meaning behind it.

"I have already applied for a mission. Colonel Jack's team will be leading and we shall see how that goes. After that, the remaining team will be given missions accordingly", he said.

Everyone was ecstatic, nervous, anxious and everything but one thing was for sure they couldn't wait.

During lunch break, Amber was sittimg alone waiting for Ansem occassionally chatting with the soldiers near her table when a person came before her startling her.

"Hello , Lieutenant Amber!"

"Lieutenant General Aiwa, what brought you here",she really was shocked to see someone appearing out of nowhere.

"I am here to invite you somewhere. I heard the teams are staring to take on missions? You won't be joining yet right?", he asked tentatively.

"Oh yes", it was really not a secret. And mostly everyone knew the way Ansem dealt with the teams under him. Because of that, many were pursuing the team's captains to recruit them,

"Sir, what invite were you talkimg about?"

"Oh, i wanted to invite you out to dinner. Before you give any response, i just want to say i have no ulterior motives haha. You are an outstanding person so naturally people would like to know you and i am among them. So why don't we get more familiar with each other. Besides, i would to talk about the music world with you", he gave such a lengthy explaination making her speechless.

"I'm sorry, but i have some works with my boyfriend", implying both refusal and destroying the bud before it blossoms. Nice!

Aiwa was surprised,"Ansem? Oh?

I thought it was just an infatuation"

The last sentence was muttered but Amber heared it.

"Hm, we have been together since the day we announce on the news about our relationship."

"Oh? That's very great. I admire you two.

Can we be friends ?"

Amber was smiling but yet again the last question made her smile froze but it dissipiated quickly.

"Okay, Lieutenant General, i would love to know you better too."

"Okay then I'll call you in the evening".

And he rushed away. Ansem had come from behind him and heard his last words. He looked at Amber questioningly.

Amber just shrugged and explained to him. Ansem's mood worsened by the time she finished.

"Relax, he is a superior, besides he seems like a good guy. Making friends won't hurt", Amber smiled.and comforted him.

Yea, making friends won't hurt except if the friend won't stop staring so intently at you!!!

After coming here, Ansem gradually lost it. This person approaching them was not familiar with them and his pursuit was very open making him feel uneasy. Well Amber felt it ,"If he dares, then whether he is a superior or not he will not leave unscathed", her smiled turned dark.

Now, Ansem smiled at that. Amber was happy.

Somewhere in another country---

"The deal is over. Thank you very much for your cooperation!", the man sitting got up and shook hands with the other sitting across from him.

"Okay then. We shall leave"

After they stepped out, a man from the shadow emerged,"Boss when are we executing the plan"

"Soon soon...", he smiled oh so devily.
