Alex and Rose enjoyed a romantic dinner at the rotating restaurant atop the Hilton Hotel. Afterward, Alex escorted Rose back to her hotel room. They cuddled on the sofa, and with Rose's cheeks flushed from the wine she had with dinner, she looked even more enchanting under the soft lights. Captivated by her allure, Alex leaned in for a kiss and said with a smile, "Rose, you are truly captivating."
Rose lifted her face proudly and said, "Of course, your Rose is adored by thousands. How could I not be captivating?" She gently stroked Alex's cheek, a faint sadness welling up in her heart as she thought about leaving H City the next day, facing a long separation from her beloved.
"Alex, I have to return to S City tomorrow. Will you miss me when I'm not by your side?" Rose asked softly.
"I'll miss you every moment, Rose. I hate to see you go, but I can't interfere with your career. I'll visit you in S City with Kate," Alex responded tenderly.
"Alex, my flight is at ten tomorrow morning. Please see me off," Rose said gently, nestling into Alex's arms.
Alex gazed at Rose with infinite affection and said, "Rose, I have a surprise for you tomorrow."
The two of them held each other tightly, speaking no more, their deep feelings conveyed in silence.
The next morning, by eight, the entrance of the Hilton Hotel was crowded with reporters and fans holding posters of Rose, shouting her name, not wanting their idol to leave. They hoped their cries and tears would persuade Rose to stay.
Accompanied by staff and security, Rose emerged from the hotel. Reporters and fans surged toward her, but dozens of security guards formed a human wall, blocking their way. Fans stretched their arms desperately, tears streaming down their faces.
"Rose! Don't go! We love you!" they cried in unison.
With tears in her eyes, Rose waved to her fans. Seeing her wave, they became even more frantic, pushing forward, causing the security guards to step back. Just as the fans were about to break through the human wall, a deafening salute rang out from a high-rise building across from the hotel. Everyone looked up to see a ten-meter-wide red banner unfurling from the rooftop, the words becoming visible as it descended.
A hundred-meter-long red banner hung from the thirty-story building, reading: "Rose, I love you. You will always be my greatest love." Cameras focused on the banner as fans screamed and applauded.
Countless black cars approached the hotel, forming a black line extending to the road's end, astonishing everyone present. They wondered who could orchestrate such a grand display.
As the convoy drew closer, a stretch limousine followed by a hundred Mercedes slowly entered the hotel square. Two hundred black-clad bodyguards emerged from the cars, running alongside the convoy. The limousine stopped in front of the fans, who instinctively made way. Alex and a teary-eyed Kate stepped out.
Kate ran to Rose, crying, "Rose, please don't go. Let's stay with Alex."
Rose hugged Kate tightly, choking back sobs, "Kate, I don't want to leave you and Alex either."
Alex approached them, speaking softly, "Don't cry, you two. It's not like you'll never see each other again. So many people are watching."
Rose and Kate turned to Alex, saying in unison, "Stay out of our conversation."
"You both are my... well, it's only natural I care about you," Alex said sheepishly, initially wanting to call them his wives but stopping himself with the fans and reporters around.
"Rose, Kate, let's talk in the car. There are too many people here," Alex suggested with a smile.
Rose and Kate nodded, and the three walked to the limousine. As Rose prepared to leave, fans continued shouting her name, crying as they surged forward.
Inside the car, Rose opened the window, waving to her fans. They ran alongside the convoy, tears streaming down their faces, stopping reluctantly as the cars drove away.
Alex wiped Rose's tears with a handkerchief, smiling, "Rose, don't cry. You should be happy with so many people supporting you."
"Yes, Rose, don't cry. When you cry, I want to cry too," Kate said softly, blinking her teary eyes.
Rose looked at Kate shyly, "Kate, I'll listen to you and stop crying. Alex, about that matter you mentioned…"
"What matter?" Kate asked, puzzled.
"You know, the thing between Alex and me," Rose whispered.
Kate gave Alex a stern look and said to Rose, "Rose, I won't blame you for what happened. From now on, we'll deal with him together."
Alex, looking at the two women who loved him, chuckled, "My dear wives, I think it would be better if you dealt with me together at home."
Kate and Rose simultaneously pinched Alex's waist, eliciting a yelp from him inside the speeding limousine.
In an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of H City, two hundred black-clad men stood in formation, emanating an aura of power that filled the space. Mark, standing at the front, looked at them with satisfaction and said loudly, "Today is the last day of training. Once you leave here, you will have a new title in the Reaper gang: 'Blood Edge.' Each of you is a member of Blood Edge. Use your cold blades to drench in the blood of our enemies and establish a criminal empire for the Reaper gang and our young master."
The two hundred men shouted in unison, "For the Reaper gang, for the young master, we will establish a criminal empire!" Their voices echoed in the warehouse.
Mark felt a surge of pride, knowing he had personally trained these elite fighters for the Reaper gang. The thought of leading them into battle for the young master filled him with excitement, and he eagerly anticipated the day it would happen.
After seeing Rose off at the airport and having lunch with Kate, Alex drove to the Reaper gang's training base on the outskirts. As he entered the warehouse, everyone inside shouted simultaneously, "Greetings, young master!"
Alex scanned the room, his face breaking into a satisfied smile.
Mark approached Alex respectfully and said, "Young master, I have completed their training. While they may not be on par with professional soldiers yet, they are not far behind."
"Mark, thank you for your hard work. From now on, you will have full control over Blood Edge. No one in the Reaper gang can command them except me," Alex said to Mark.
"I understand, young master," Mark replied crisply.
