"So, can you now explain yourself?" – asked Uri.
"…. Okay. But first let's go somewhere else." – said Iris.
Iris led Uri to the though the city until they arrived at the back alley.
"Okay, this should do. Nobody should be able to eardrop on our conversation." – said Iris while looking around, making sure nobody was around.
"So, can you now care to explain? Something seemed off when we first talked today." – said Uri.
"…. Fine. But promise not to laugh or something."
"Okay I promise. Just get on with it."
"…. I just wanted to become adventure for fun."
"…...That all?" – asked Uri with confused look.
"Well…..Yea?…. I just wanted to get out from here. This world is so reach and unknown. I want to set on the adventure and explore it. I know this sound very childish, but I can't help it. It will also help me grow stronger as well. You were planning on becoming the adventure to become stronger yourself."
"…. Okay."
"…."
"?" – Iris looked confused at Uri.
"Em…. Normally you would try to point out that I'm doing something stupid or something. Why are you not doing that right now?" – asked Iris with confused look.
"Why should I? Its true that becoming an adventure may seems bit childish, but did you saw how many people have became one? Heck I even saw some kids that looked around our age doing quest."
"On top of that, joining the adventure guild can indeed help you grow stronger and like I said before, we may need strength to fight something unpredictable in this world, but that doesn't mean that you can't have fun while doing that."
"…...Okay, who the fuck are you? Normally Uri would complain like an old man or something."
"And do you want get punched that badly?"
"Honestly, I won't lie. I kind of wished to explore the world a bit as well and enjoy myself, I want to see what this world has to offer. That was another reason why I wanted to become an adventure. I want to see this myself." – said Uri.
"Oh. Now I remember you did said that once or twice before." – said Iris.
"And I can tell you are still not telling me the whole thing. We do know each other for a long time so I can tell when you are lying or hiding something." – said Uri.
"Em…."
"Look. If you don't want to talk about its fine. It seems you really don't want to talk about it." – said Uri.
"No. Well…. I think it's safe to tell you that?"
"?"
"You see…. The noble children keep bothering me nonstop. Some wants me to become their fiancé while others just spend time with them against my will. I just kind want to run away from those problems and becoming an adventure also works with my others goals, so yea."
"…. Okay."
"…. What?"
"I mean, it is pretty annoying dealing others nobles and it's understandable if you don't want to talk about this with the others and talked in private since all kind of rumors could easily spread that way. Honestly, I thought there was something very serious going on for the moment or worse. Truth to be told I was worried that something was going, but by the looks of things I worried for no reason. You kind of made it look like it was something like very serious."
"Anyway, like I said before. This isn't a dream nor it is a novel written by somebody. This is reality and our own lives. You live the life you chose yourself and I won't stop you. I was just curious why suddenly you wanted to become an adventure."
"So anyway, are you serious about becoming the adventure? You do realized you could easily die if you are careless right?" – said Uri with serious look.
"I know, I know, but I already decided so stop nagging." – replied Iris.
"Oh! One more thing! Since we are both planning on being the adventures, how about we form a party?"
"Hmm…... It does sounds like a good idea, but it maybe better if we don't do that." – said Uri.
"Eh? Why?"
"Well, first thing first. How much battle experience you have? And now, lil blue slimes as well as bite beetles doesn't counts."
"Hm…. Does fighting against my own undead counts?"
"Nope. I did something like that as well with my golems, however I don't know if that can really even help or be called a battle experience."
"Then I guess I don't have one?"
"Pretty much. The same could be said about me. We need to get better at fighting if we want to continue being adventures. It maybe better if we walk our separated paths for now and try not to relay on each other too much."
"The second problem is related to you."
"Huh? Me?" – asked Iris.
"Yes. You said that you don't want to have problems with nobles, right? Then what do you think will happened if you suddenly become a party member with me? Its better if you at least work sometime alone before joining with somebody else."
"Oh, I see. Yea that is indeed good point."
"So, you are saying we should just go separated ways for now?"
"Yea. Pretty much until we increase our ranks. On top of that. I bough the adventure manual with me and as it turns out. The human children below age of 16 can only have a rank up to F."
"Wait what?! Why?!" – asked Iris.
"Apparently, it's a law that was implemented very long ago. Apparently, there was a case of many young talented adventures dying because of them now being prepared or they though they could handle it."
"…. You didn't know that did you?"
"Of course, I fuking didn't know that! This is the first time I heard about this!"
"Wait. You are saying that you already knew about this? Then why are you registering as the adventure right now?" – asked Iris.
"Well, its related to two things."
"First is my research. I need to have my golems fight in the real fights and do different things on the field so I can gather data. Without it, my research will slow down like hell."
"The second reason is because I want to become stronger myself. Training doesn't give you a real combat experience, I need to fight real battles. On top of that, I will get experience and level up with will make me stronger as well and I will be able to get a occupation."
"So, for me it is the best to become an adventure right now, even though I can not reach E rank until I became 16 years old." – said Uri.
"Huh. So, you are saying, that starting right now isn't a bad thing?" – asked Iris.
"Pretty much. I mean, training can make you stronger and give you experience, but fighting real battles and killing monsters can help you level up faster. I can guess you don't also have a occupation as well." – said Uri.
"Hm. You are right. I won't complain that much, since you will nagging me a lot with tons of different arguments that I can't even talk back." – said Iris with the annoyed look on her face.
"Well, then I will probably also stay as the adventure. Becoming stronger even by a little bit is still good thing, but I want some real actions or something!" – said Iris.
"Then get to the E rank. From what I know the danger between each rank is very noticeable, so you will probably find some actions. I'm planning on getting E rank myself as soon as possible. The D rank monsters aren't even worth a bit of mana nor I had a chance to use and see my golems in action."
"Oh, okay. So anyway, when do you think will be good time to become a party?" – asked Iris.
"Hm…. Probably it will be the best when both us became 16 years old. We can increase our ranks freely when we are old enough and after than we will be able to earn enough money so we can travel around while doing quest. We do need to get enough money if we want to travel around."
"Hmm. Okay. But it still sucks. Anyway, I will be going now. I want to finish the quests I just took. See you later." – said Iris while leaving.
"Bye." – replied Uri.
"…."
"Hm. Maybe I should do few more quests myself. It's not like I have anything to do anyway."
Pretty much, I spend days doing quests or just reaching my golems. Honestly speaking, doing G rank quest weren't that interesting or anything, they were quiet boring. Well, even though they were boring and not really worth talking about, they did helped me getting EXP bit by bit, especially that slime quest I took last time. Apparently its popular because people can get a little bit EXP without any real danger.
Anyway, days and weeks passed and I finally manage to get to the level 25 and that meant that I could finally pick an occupation.
[Golem Maker] [Summoner] [Mage] [Earth Mage] [Alchemist] [Blacksmith]
"Hm…." – stared at his statues winddown while sitting in the library and reading a book.
(It took some time but I finally manage to get to the level 25. Now I can finally pick an occupation. Now. What do I want to pick? Let's go over what the heck I have in the first place.)
"In the book it says that [Summoner] is an occupation that specializes in dealing with summons. It makes summoning easier to summon and reduce the cost needed."
"The [Mage] is occupation that focus on use of magic while the [Earth Mage] does pretty much the same thing, however it mostly focuses on the earth magic and elements related to it."
"[Alchemist] and [Blacksmith] are pretty much self-explanatory. Simple put their make their own line of work easier."
"And last, [Golem Maker]."
(This occupation never did appeared in the novel. From the name alone I can tell its related to the golems, but how exactly?)
(Maybe there is something written in here?)
Uri beginned looking through the difference pages in the book.
"…...Found it."
(Huh. Apparently, it's a rare occupation. Rare occupation are usually stronger than regular occupation, but they often have a annoying condition to be acquired. It may seem at first those occupation are very good, but in reality, its often harder to level up them since different occupation have different ways of leveling up, some classes gets more EXP while farming while others don't for example.)
(The other problem with those classes that they are often strict. For example, magic swordman. Even though it increases magic and sword fighting poetical of the user, to use that class to the full power you need both understanding of the magic and the weapon.)
(For example, me. I learned on how to handle the axe just in case something unexpected comes up.)
(However, truth to be told, I had hard time learning it.)
(Its not like I'm not physical strong or have low stamina. Because of my work with the golems, I often carry lot of stuff and do physical work almost all the time. Simple put I suck at learning arts.)
(I know how to use axe, but my talent with the arts is below average. I only know 2 basic arts related to axe called [Axe Slash] and [Axe Smash]. Even though I trained a lot, I only mange to get these two and they are not very well refined as well, meaning they are not that very strong.)
(In short. If I had an option to become something like magic swordman, it would be the best if I wouldn't even think about becoming one. It would be completely wasted and not that very useful for me. It would be way better to even pick normal axe user and mage occupations instead of magic swordman.)
(Picking rare class may be alluring, but it maybe also be completely worthless if it does not fit you at all.)
(Anyway, it says here that golem maker is the class that specialize in making golems…...) – though Uri while continue reading the book.
(Hm…. It says that it helps with the creation process by a lot...Hm, picking that class may be a good choice for me. If I want to continue using golems in the future, picking this class is perfect choice for me.)
(But do I really want to pick it? Right now?)
(True. Picking golem maker can indeed help me a lot and it fits me very well, but the problem is leveling it up.)
(Probably the conditions for that class to get bonus EXP is to make golems or have them do stuff. I can keep making golems, but those golems will probably won't be very good since I still lack data I need.)
(Should I pick a summoner or earth mage then? Picking either of them as my first class is a good choice and I can always pick the golem maker later on. However even though I don't know if I could level it up a lot, it still could help me with making and researching golems.)
(But there is also advance job case.)
(According to the book, if I manage to get [Earth Elemental Summoning Magic] I will be able to get [Earth Summoner]. It says here that occupation is combination of the earth mage and the summoner. One of the conditions of getting that class is to get either earth mage or summoner occupation to the max level.)
(This does sound like a good thing for me, since I use both my summoning and earth magic.)
(…...Hm. Golem maker, earth mage or summoner. Hm....)
"I think I should pick summoner."
(Picking golem maker is must have choice for me, but as of right now I need to get better at fighting myself. On top of that as of right now I don't have any real chance of using golems, so I should just instead use summons.)
(Earth mage is also a good choice for me, but I think summoner will be better choice since I can use it to get allies.)
(On top of that, my researching regarding the summoning and golems is recently going very well, both my golems as well as summon became more effective and powerful. Picking summoner can also help me with my research. I will probably pick the golem maker as my second class afterwords.)
"Then summoner it is."

"!"
"Wow."
"I felt that."
(I can tell without even looking at my stats, I changed. I can also tell that I've became stronger.)
(It felt very weird but at the same time refreshing?)
(Status.)
Uri beginned looking through his stats.
(Some of my skills level increases and I got 2 new skills? Interesting.)
(I already knew from the novel about changing occupations, but experiencing it itself is something way different.)
"…. Ah screw it."
(I really want to see how much I have changed.)
Uri left the library and quickly headed back home. After getting back he then went straight towards the training grounds.
"Okay. First thing first."
"[Summon Earth Servant]"
The magic circle appeared on the ground and moments later a stone humanoid looking creature with arms like a clubs emerged from the circle.
[Earth Servant – Rank 4]
"Huh. The summoning it was bit easier than before. I guess this must be because of my summoning magics getting leveled up."
(The two skills I got from changing my occupations are [Summoner Knowledge] and [Summoning Mastery – Weak].)
(The first skill provides the user with knowledge about summoned monsters and instructions. This skill helps me to understand a bit more about when using manifestation summoning or contract summoning. This skill is very useful.)
(The second skill help the user when summoning the monster. Simple put, it reduced the cost of mana by very little amount and helps in the summoning. Right now, this skill is very weak, but it can grow stronger.)
"Anyway, lets continue testing."
Uri used the summoning magic several more times and ended up summoning earth servants.
"6 huh."
(I can probably maintain those 6 summons for a long time, I could probably manage to summon some more, but probably will end up making the time I can hold the summons shorter.)
(Anyway, this proves that occupations are very important when choosing one. But that doesn't mean it can just relax. Leveling up skills means shit if I can't use them properly.)
(For example, even if I do have high level [Earth Magic], it means completely nothing if I don't know any spells and don't know how to cast them and if I don't understand the earth magic it self.)
(Well, even if my summoning magic became stronger thanks to getting occupation, my summoning magic still needs some refining here and there. Also, it's a good time to learn about summoning something stronger.)
"I guess there is lot of things to do. Time to get to the work."
{{EXTRA}}
[Summon Earth Servant] is a summon that can summon different version of the same summon.
The rank 1 was the lil rock creature summon by Uri earlier on.
The higher the rank number is, the more powerful the earth servant version will be summoned.
