Chapter 8

After the disappearance of Shireen from prison with the remnants of teleportation magic that can't even be traced by the scent left behind, at the same time Luis is also reported missing and is linked if the escaped prisoner who is about to be executed escapes with Martin's second alpha child being a fugitive.

Even though Jeremy was furious at the loss of Shireen, he didn't like his plans to fall apart. Grace accompanies Jeremy in the study, she's been neglected for months. Even though her parents became gloomy, living in the house did not make her happy. Grace hates it, the absence of Shireen always makes her attention disappear from people's eyes.

"Jeremy, eat first. You've already missed lunch to look at the report…" Grace moved closer to Jeremy's work chair and rubbed the sturdy shoulder with a soft smack.

"Later, I have a lot of things to finish." He said to Grace without looking back at anything.

"Come on, Jeremy!! Ever since my sister ran away you've been acting like this, everyone is acting restless just because she ran away. Why not just leave it be! I like that she's gone because all that affection is now pointing at me—"

"Shut up, Grace!!" Jeremy looked at Grace who couldn't believe she had just been snapped at by him.

"No, I just want you to calm down. You know we're faking it, at least please shut up or do something without me. You are a luna, calm our people. Come to parties and tell me everything is going to be okay instead of pestering me by constantly coming to the office. I still have a lot of work to do!!" Alpha Jeremy explained angrily to Grace who also didn't understand the current situation.
