CH 21 ~ "First Meeting"

Millicent Corporation, Headquarters~

(The CEO's Room)

"Marine, i will go back soon; start preparation from now on."

Rennie spoke as she put down the documents on her hands and decided that she can't push her mission away anymore.

"Are you sure, Boss?"

"It shouldn't be delayed any longer... We better get ready for the worst upcoming, things are not that simple as it looks."

"Okay, You can handle the organisation work. As there are enough people to handle the company."

Marine, who was Rennie's bestfriend from junior high school and now her cheif secretary replied.

"...And, get me the transfer papers."

"Must you do this?"

Marine's expression turned gloomy as Rennie mentioned the transfer papers of her property.

Where, according to the contact her father made, Rennie will give Alex her 80% share in the Millicent Corporation, if she breach the contract.

And, her all property will be donated to orphanage if something happens to her.

"You know it, Marine... How bloody things are in my hometown. I will get killed if i blink- the situation is like that. I rather donate my everything, then letting them get it."

"I see... I will get it done."

Marine spoke as she quitely left the room and Rennie leaned back on her chair.

She folded up the sleeves of her black shirt and unbutton her suit as she started to feel stuffy by thinking about the upcoming future.

The diamond watch on her hands sparkled as sunlight fall on it, making Rennie realize that time is indeed going fast.

Rennie stood up from her seat as she stood beside the huge glass window to look down, with her hands inside of her pant pockets dramatically.

In a blink of eyes, this company grew into a major corporation.

Her light brown hair was tied up into a low messy bun and a few curls of her front hair fall infront of her face.

Giving a rich and unapprochable vibe with her cold expressionless face.

Making her look more mature and elegant.

'Going back... Am i really ready?'

'Can i face all those upcoming dangers and survive?'

Suddenly, Alex's face flashed in her mind.

From the moment she saw him for the first time, she couldn't forgot him no matter how much time had passed.

She even tried to date other people to forget him but failed, as she vividly remembered the young boy on a bicycle, who wore a black jacket and bumped into her.

Rennie, who was only ten years old had moved out from her home after fighting with her father as she thought her mother left because of him.

She left her hometown, country and everything, wanted to start a new life in Linden City.

Although her father protested, but then he thought it was better for her to stay there and helped her to settle down.

To protect her, he later decided to establish a normal company which will have nothing to do with politics or any underground organisations.

Which soon turned into a leading company of the country Z, Millicent Corporation.

And Rennie started a new life, while hiding her real identity.

When she was in high school, one day she meet a boy on her way to going back home.

As she decided to stay low profiled at that time, she used to walk on foot and take public transportation like ordinary students.

While walking, Rennie suddenly felt something bumping into her slightly and looked back to find her white dress getting dirty as it got touched by a cycle wheel.

Although her dress had become a little dirty because of this, but she didn't mind and looked up with a smile on her face as she fixed her dress.

"What are you doing? Ride carefully-"

Rennie spoke politely with a smile on her face as she looked up.

But she was a little stunned to see a handsome guy with blue eyes and pitch black hair.

Who looked at her dumbfoundly.

Kind of staring at her, who also stared back at him like they were having a staring contest.

"Am-Am sorry... It's my first time riding a bicycle..."

Alex shuttered on his words as he didn't knew how to explain his situation.

He was stuck in the traffic jam and left his car on the road for their driver to drive it back to his college.

But unfortunately their driver drove it back to their home and now he had to go back to his company by borrowing a bicycle from one of his friend, as he can't wait for the driver to come?

The distance of his college and the company was less then 15 minutes, where his home was 45 minutes away.

So he just decided to ride a bicycle.

Forgotting that he has never rode one.

But as for some reason, he become lost as a teenage girl with long brown hair came into his view.

She looked around 16-17, probably a high school student, according to Alex.

Who was a first year university student at the same Institute.

And while he started to ride it slowly to follow her, he unconsciously lost balance and would have almost hit her if he didn't pressed the brake in time.

Seeing the Identity card, which was hanging on Alex's neck; Rennie tried to keep some distance as she didn't wanted to offend a senior and then get into unnecessary trouble.

"It's okay, no problem. Ride carefully."

She spoke hurriedly as she turned around and walked fast to get away.

"HEY! What's your name?!"

Alex, who was lost in her beautiful face snapped back as she started to walk fast and chased after her.

But Rennie didn't replied and walked more faster.

She was used to this kind of circumstances where people would approach her and ask for help or anything else.

So that, the moment she gets distracted, they will harm him to get a grip on her father.

As they was not in their own city or country, so she can't act rushly or behave how she used to do in her own territory.

Alex chuckled a little as he saw her running away from him like a little white rabbit.

'She's really cute...'

He was about to ride away his bicycle again, when his eyes fall on something on the road.

Alex got down from his bicycle, to pick up the student identity card she had dropped from her hands, while she was fixing her dress.

His fingers brushed away the dirt from the student picture to see her face more clearly again, and stroked over her name.

"Rennie Millicent..."
