After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. Jake observed Wendy's reaction and continued, "Mommy, you probably don't remember who Yvonne Taylor is. She was the most detestable woman ever. She had tried to kidnap me but didn't succeed.
"She had always been in love with Daddy. When she realized that she couldn't get Daddy, she plotted that car accident to kill you.
"I know that Daddy has some sort of relationship with Yvonne Taylor, but I don't know what it is. Maybe it's a friendship between old friends, or maybe like the way an older brother looks at his little sister. Of course, it could have been romantic.
"I had hated Yvonne Taylor then because she almost killed you.
"I wanted to make sure that Daddy did not go soft at the last minute and let her go, so I went with Daddy to take care of her.
"At that time, Daddy... he used the same method to kill Yvonne Taylor."
