Qiu Long looked at Xu Boyan puzzled and waited for him to continue speaking.
"Protect her, so much as a strand of her hair shouldn't come to harm."
Xu Boyan quickly put the photo back into the drawer and said to Qiu Long.
It seemed as though he treasured the photo and didn't want Qiu Long to get a longer look at it.
Qiu Long: "Master Xu, may I ask who she is?"
He noticed that Xu Boyan's eyes were gentle when he looked at the photo. He knew Xu Boyan to be aloof and unapproachable but had never noticed him capable of showing gentleness.
"The future Mrs. Xu."
Xu Boyan closed his eyes slightly and spoke in a soft voice.
Qiu Long: "..."
His expression changed somewhat. He hadn't expected Xu Boyan's assignment for him to be protecting a woman, which suddenly made him feel redundant.
