Chapter 82 : A set up

They finally announced the result of the test today. Everyone has been talking about it since this morning and was very curious about the result. By now, everyone was already aware of the fact that I was the prime suspect of the stolen exam papers case.

Not that they hadn't guessed about it beforehand, but by making me take a test supervised directly by the teachers, it was akin to silent acquiescence. Just with that, I became everyone's common enemy.

It was kind of funny how they condemned me shamelessly when some got their parents to bribe their way into the next grade or fell into a cheat sheet transaction founded by Mr. Gilbert. I didn't cheat, of course, but even if I did, it didn't give them the right to look down on me from their high horse. I wasn't the first one and wouldn't be the last one either, but they concentrated all their strength into hating me.

I have been thinking for a while, but I assumed this was the true aim of the culprit.
