Chapter 80 : Unexpected Appearance (1)

After that, I planned to go home since my business here was done, but Charlie insisted for me to stay longer for dinner. Alex agreed with her. At first, I was going to refuse since I didn't want to impose even more than this, but I remembered how Alex said I should try to accept other people more, so I agreed.

Then, Alex clapped his hand, and a few maids appeared out of nowhere. Alex told them to prepare dinner, and they moved swiftly, as per order.

Strange. Those maids were nowhere to be seen until a second ago. Except for Mia, who led me to where Alex was, I didn't feel their presence, much less spot any other maid in the way. Yet, they appeared as soon as Alex called on them. What a bunch of professionals.

Come to think of it, where's Mia? She was really kind to me earlier, and I would like to thank her one last time before going home. I didn't know how a maid works, but shouldn't the head maid be usually the one who serves the guest?
