Chapter 60 : Meanwhile...

At Gardner's villa.

Charlie hopped off the car. Her braided hair bounced wildly as she ran into the villa. As soon as she arrived at the lounge, she immediately spotted a figure lying around lazily on the sofa. She frowned, seeing that.

"How come you are here at this time of day?" She asked as she nudged the figure with her knee.

"Hmmngh… Go away." The figure swung his arm, trying to push Charlie away. He grabbed a cushion nearby and used it to block his ears.

Charlie harrumphed, and she pulled the pillow mercilessly, making the figure annoyed, and opened his eyes begrudgingly. "Wake up, Aslan! You will catch a cold sleeping here!"

"So noisy," Aslan groaned and looked like he was ready to give the person who disturbed him some beating, but he stopped when his fuzzy gazes fell on Charlie's stern expression.

"What. It's just you." He blinked his eyes a few times, trying to fight his drowsiness.
