Untamed Desire: Part IV

LILYANNA'S POV

The last thing I remembered was being at the party, sitting at the patio table. I was alone, waiting for Una to get back. I took a sip of my beer and then I blacked out.

~Wait, wasn't someone else there?~

Images of a man with dirty blonde hair and slightly tanned skin came into view.

~That's right...he...he put something in my drink.~

I heard a beeping sound in the background. Slowly I opened my eyes and found myself staring at a white tiled wall. I groaned as I grabbed my head. It was throbbing. I felt a slight pressure on my right arm and as I turned I found an iv put in.

~I'm in a hospital.~

I picked up the hospital bed remote and adjusted it upwards so that I could sit up. As I looked around the room I saw someone sleeping in the chair to the right. I was shocked to see that it wasn't Una, but the dark haired man I saw at the party.

~What was his name again...Indigo? What is he doing here?~

The room's sliding door and curtain pulled back as Una walked in with a cup of coffee in her hands.

"Lily! You're awake!" Una rushed to my side pulling up a chair along with her. "How are you feeling?"

"Like shit. What happened, Una?"

"According to the doctors you were drugged by a very strong form of the date rape drug. The police said they had never seen anything like it. Do you want me to get a nurse? She might help you with your pain."

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea, but I'll just press the call nurse button."

"You know I forgot that it exists," she chuckled, "Isn't that ironic? A nursing student forgetting about the call nurse button."

"Yeah it is." I took the bed remote and pushed it, as well as changing the t.v. channel.

"What time is it?"

"5:26am," Una said as she looked down at her watch.

"What! How long was I out?" My breath became rapid as I put my hands through my hair. My chest started to ache as my breath felt heavier.

"A little over three hours."

"What happened to him?! What happened to the man who did this to me!?" Una gripped onto my hand and started to rub her thumb up against my knuckles.

"Don't worry Lily, he didn't do anything to you." She paused and looked towards Indigo. "He saw the whole thing happen and stopped him from doing anything else. Your attacker is now in jail, and will have to face trial."

"Wait...I'm going to have to testify!?"

"No, no you don't have to do anything else." My breath started to calm down and my heartbeat began to slow. I glanced at Indigo again.

~Damn. He even looks sexy in his sleep.~

"Una, I understand that Indigo saved me but why is he still here? Wouldn't he rather be at home?" Una grew a mischievous smile as she stared into my eyes.

"Una, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Well, he was really worried about you. And I mean REALLY worried about you. If I didn't know any better I would have thought you two were dating."

"What?" I became flustered, heat rushed to my cheeks. "That's ridiculous, you know that I am not ready to get back into a relationship."

"I know...I know, but I think you should tell him that." Una let out another soft chuckle. The nurse finally arrived with the doctor right behind her.

"High there Lilyanna, I'm doctor Erickson. I'm going to ask you a few questions if you don't mind."

"No, not at all, doctor."

"Great, what is your full name?"

"Lilyanna White."

"Your date of birth?"

"September 19th, 2000."

"Looks good, and what is today's date?"

"Technically July 11th."

"Perfect, I'm just gonna check your eyes real quick. Is that alright?" I nodded my head yes, "Great, now I'm going to shine a flashlight in your eyes and you just follow my finger without moving your head."

"No problem," The doctor then shone the flashlight into my right eye and repeated the process on the left.

"Your eyesight looks great, I just need to run a couple tests to make sure everything is good. After that I might be able to send you home."

"Sounds great, thank you doctor."

"No problem, nurse Rebecca will be here to assist you this morning." The nurse stepped forward and greeted me as the doctor left to see his other patients.

"It looks like the doctor ordered some blood work. I'll be right back with the proper equipment."

"Sounds good" I smiled as the nurse left the room, closing the door behind her. My attention gravitated to the right as Indigo stirred in his sleep. His eyes started to gradually open and he immediately set his sights on me.

"You're awake," Without hesitation he moved his chair to the right side of the bed. "Are you ok, how are you feeling?"

"A lot better now. Una told me what you did for me...Thank you." He gave me a soft smile as he placed his hand on mine. The moment I felt his touch it was like fireworks being shot through my body.

"For you... I would do it a thousand times over." I felt my heart beat against my chest and heat returned to my cheeks.

~What kind of spell does this man have me under?~

"Umm..." Una's lips were puckered in and her eyes wandered back and forth. "I got to pee, I'll be right back."

She got up from her chair and before leaving the room gave me a quick wink. I swallowed the lump that appeared in my throat, my heart racing faster.

"Am I making you uncomfortable waterlily?" His voice even made my body quiver in excitement. It was deep and rough, yet had a hint of sweetness to it.

"No! Not at all...wait did you just call me waterlily?" His eyes widened as he looked away and raised his hand to his scalp.

"Yeah...I'm sorry it just came out. I'll stop calling you that."

"Oh, you don't have to! I think waterlily is cute."

"I'm glad...waterlily."

"I still don't understand though, why would you stay in my room for hours on end. We only just met, this is the first time I'm actually talking to you."

Indigo looked down to the floor, his leg shook as he bit the corner of his lip.

"It's hard to explain. Do you feel a pull? Like you want nothing more than to be around that person, even if you don't know them? That's what I feel when I'm around you."

"Yeah...I think I know what you are talking about." He looked back up towards me, and I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes. I wanted him, I wanted him to touch me all over. I didn't know why, but I also didn't care. He leaned in closer and placed his hand on my cheek. I let out a soft moan as I laid my head further into his hand. He leaned in closer, my hearing flooded with the sound of my beating heart. I moaned louder as his lips touched mine, my body melted against his. I quickly backed away as I heard a knock at the door. The nurse came in, rolling a cart with some medical equipment.

"Hello Lilyanna. Before I draw your blood, may I have your date of birth please?"

"Of course, September 19th, 2000."

"Perfect, are you allergic to iodine?"

"No ma'am, not allergic to anything."

"Great." She then moved up to the left side of the bed and moved Una's chair, replacing it with her own. She gave me a foam ball to squeeze and tied the top of my arm with a rubber ribbon. Once she found my vein she marked it with a marker and removed the ribbon. After applying the numbing agent she filled five vials with my blood. She then patched me up with a cotton ball and medical tape.

"Alrighty, I'm going to send this off to the lab. It shouldn't take too long."

"Thank you." The nurse left with the freshly drawn blood and her cart, Una came in right after.

"Did I miss anything?" Una asked with a smile on her face

"Just the nurse drawing my blood." I turned towards Indigo, he was looking at me so sweetly.

~Fuck, I'm going to hate myself for doing this.~

"Indigo, thank you again for what you did. But...I think it would be best if you went home." He looked at me like I had just broken his heart.

"Are you sure waterlily?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Okay, I'll go ahead and leave." I watched as he walked out, Una glared at me like I had just committed a crime.

"Why on Earth would you kick that man out of here like that?"

"I...I don't really want to talk about it right now Una." She then went silent, something she usually never does. It didn't take long for the doctor to come back and give me the clear to go home. With my discharge papers in hand Una helped me get dressed and into the car. When we got home I immediately went to my bed. I laid there staring at the ceiling, the only thing I could think about was that kiss. Even just the memory of it made my body shiver.

~It was for the best, I can't be in another relationship right now. Thankfully I don't have to see him again. I don't think I could control myself if I did.~
