The days without work were quite leisurely.

I planned to take a half-month break first.

I bought new bedding set and couple pajamas, but I didn't hang them out but in the closet.

I went to the supermarket to buy beef and tomatoes. Then I made some dishes and put them in a food container to send to James.

"Boss went to the police station. Don't you know it?"

I was stunned and hastily asked, "What happened?"

"It seems to be related to you. Your ex-boyfriend came over the other day and almost got into a fight with Boss. Mrs. Larson, are you okay? I've noticed Boss has been in a bad mood these past few days, so I haven't really been talking to him."

Did James know about it?

He had never mentioned it to me.

I put down the food container and walked out. I ran into James who was coming back. And Emma was with him. I didn't know what Emma said to James, but I saw him smile and take the food box from Emma. He waited until Emma turned around and left before coming over.
